Oh, I forgot to add something: I actually kind of liked that the brothers weren't taking sides in the sisters' fight, and didn't feel the need to either (the one instance in which the hands-off mentality actually works). Although I dislike that they're trying to handle the situation like five year olds, that is, superficially, that was the one silver lining of this episode.

I will say though, there is this one line where Kunal says, "on some days, I'm not even sure Kuhu likes me." Yes, Kunal. She doesn't like you simply because she's not draping herself around you and serving you and your emotional needs all the damn time. I'm pretty sure if you were in her shoes, you wouldn't like you very much either. 🙄

Someone needs to make a meme out of Abir's face when Meenu was being her usual melodramatic self, LMAO.

@Bold : I knoww !! His expressions were priceless 😆

@Blue : 👍🏼

Today's episode was a filler episode mostly dedicated to showing how FL is perfect and Kuhu is petty and insecure. That is actually the main theme of the show these days so I will not elaborate any more on that.

But the scene I enjoyed most was one where Meenu manipulates everyone into begging in front of her. 🤣 She planned the whole drama so well. I know it was supposed to be dramatic but I found the scene hilarious. 😆 And Rupal Patel actually looks really pretty with light makeup. I loved Abir's expressions in that scene. 😃

Abir is one of the few likable characters left in the show but I have a strong dislike for his elaborate and flashy plans to make sisters bond with each other. They could have just taken the girls with them and made them talk with each other but nope !! Where is the drama in that?? I am pretty sure that Abir planned the kidnapping, that was the reason he took Kunal to that place for tea. And since the preview for the dance sequence was for Friday so this kidnapping drama will go on for the whole week.

And finally, Kunal 😡 He is such an idiot !! He told his favorite bhabhi that Kuhu made him sleep on the sofa? Just last night he has an argument with his wife because he was taking advice from Mishti so Kunal thinks it's a great idea to tell Mishti that he slept on the sofa?? Why discuss such an intimate detail about their marital life with Mishti? Just a few weeks ago Kunal hated Mishti but now he is discussing his sleeping arrangements with her? I kind of felt disgusted by that scene. Kunal really needs to take his marriage seriously.

And Kuhu! I wanted to shout at Kuhu to Please grow up !! She is behaving extremely immature and petty.

I had so many hopes for KuKu's story after the leap but now both their characters are unrecognizable. Hopefully, the break will give time for the writers to think of some interesting storylines.

Agreed, Meera! Today's episode went a long way in terms of damage control, because of how they balanced things between the brothers and sisters. I am not a fan of Abir's classic strategy of running away from problems 🤔 but I can't say that I am against beginning this hiatus on a lighter note (and I hope they leave it there instead of introducing new drama before the break).

For me there were a few more redeeming points:

Kuhu's confusion that Abir wasn't at all upset about his mom (me too, girl, me too)

Kunal explicitly backtracking when Mishti went on her rant, saying how difficult Kuhu is to live with. At this point my expectations are so low that I'm grateful he didn't agree with her and have a good laugh!

And most of all, the reminder of Kunal's complete lack of self-worth (when he said that sometimes he worries if Kuhu even likes him). It sort of softened and humanised yesterday's behaviour. When Kunal said he doesn't know what happens in a real shaadi and that he needed Kuhu to teach him everything, he really wasn't kidding even a little.

But it also shouldn't be Kuhu's sole responsibility -- I wish he could get some guidance like Abir got from Parul yesterday but it seems like that kind of sensible advice is reserved for the leads to have a perfect relationship. Our pair have to create drama and are therefore debarred from external support for the time being.

When Kuhu is insecure about their relationship, she gets pushy and demanding and when Kunal is insecure, he pushes her away as a way to reject her before she can reject him. That's sort of what happened in yesterday's fight and somehow that one line from Kunal today helped me see it in a new light.

I am now prepared to fangirl over pretty dancing

This is such a great summary. Kuhu refuses to see how her petty competitiveness only makes Mishti feel more holier-than-thou and Mishti refuses to see how that smug, dismissive attitude makes Kuhu more and more suspicious of her motivations. Dedicating this song to the not-sisters today:

@bold : That was the only thing other than Meenu’s drama that I liked in the episode. He didn’t agree that Kuhu was difficult to live with and was actually trying correct Mishti before she walked away 😆. I liked Mishti in that scene as well because she was actually saying what she felt about Kuhu rather than sugarcoating it.

And Sam are you actually excited about the dance sequence? Your positivity always rubs off on me and now I kind of want to know why they start dancing? 😆

I am actually imagining Kuhu and Mishti singing this song 🤣 Thanks for sharing it. Got a good laugh out of it.😆

I genuinely am; let's do this 🤣

The truth is, by giving me a satisfying happy ending with the second marriage, the divorce-paper burning and the SR scene, the show already gave me much more than I was hoping for with this couple. Ever since then, I am trying to be as shallow as possible with zero expectations and one foot out the door. But these CVs are always one step ahead -- they keep giving me just enough to keep me interested, if not with Kuku then with Meenu and Parul.

This kidnapping plan may be stupid, but the boys' hearts are in the right place. They seriously need some time to reconnect with their wives without new drama constantly busting old wounds open. I will just see the dancing and singing as that.

Quoting myself to give an update.

I slept off after typing this. Also, I can't believe that I haven't watched the episode yet. It's been 3 hours since I woke up. Feeling kinda proud of myself

I liked the hopeful points you guys mentioned for today's episode. It's good to see this little glimmer back in the AT.

I think I'll hold out on watching this week's episode. Let's see if I can last even today. But I might drop an HC/OS today on how I wanted Kunal to call Parul Maa.

I can't believe he missed a perfect opportunity to crack a 'karo na -> Corona' pun. This haircut is taking away his talents with words🥱
