( which sadly audience finds "romantic" 🤢) I just think that Abir's character is different and better than other typical male leads in this regard.

I have not watched the show that you have mentioned but I have seen some scenes online. That show looks good. I have tried to watch many ITV shows over the years but always leave it after a few episodes because stories are mostly the same. Even with this show, I don't find the main leads story interesting because it's very run of the mill.

Ughhh! The over possessive MLs🤢.

I agree! It's very run of the mill. They probably can't risk a new concept for main leads because they are the TRP garners. The audience watching at home might not tune in if the story was very hat ke so the basic underlying story has to follow the tried and tested path.

I mean, the KuKu story is very different. If that was the main plot of the show, I don't think this show would be this popular. We can see the difference in the number of fans as well.

Since it's not the main plot, the writers have the liberty of writing a romance they actual want to portray but we're not sure if the main TRP audience would accept it. Maybe that's why we got the amount of ups and downs and layers in the characters.

Ye last paragraph likh kar to maine khud hi ko hope de di. Kuhu will get her epic love story and we will get to see Kunal change. He will learn. The character arcs for both these characters are bigger than we can see right now. My faith just got renewed in the writers. Wow!! I never knew mai khud ka mood achha kar sakti hu🤯

@Nikki and Aqua: If you guys are interested, and since we have a break from current shows for a while, I strongly recommend the show Tumhari Pakhi (it's on Hotstar). The leads in that show had a very similar dynamic and arc to Kuku's and it's the closest thing to watching a show with Kuku as the leads. I loved that show when it aired and have been rewatching of late it as therapy for Kuku-scapegoating, because they did the ML's redemption arc right.

Disclaimer: The show eventually suffered its own success and ran too long despite the ML leaving, but the central premise had a really satisfying closure before all that went down. So for me, that is the happy ending. 😃

I thought about watching the last few episodes but I feel like it's going to leave a bad taste and frankly with everything so depressing right now, I'd rather not.

I'm kinda confused with the dance clip and kidnapping story. Like they can't eventually find kunal abir and then out of the blue burst into a dance. Plus apparently they don't have enough epis till 31st so how do they plan to show all this?

Thank you, Snow!🤗

I really do feel Kunal's character arc is in its early stages right now. He needs one or two more jhatkas to kickstart the motor and get out of his Bhaiyopia. I love his bhraata-prem version but when it overpowers him completely, it just seems very annoying. But fatal flaw hai to can't even help it. But I have a feeling that we will fall in love with his character slowly and steadily as we did in Kuhu's case.

I had never thought that she would become my favourite character someday but it happened so I am holding out hope for Kunal as well.

Coming to the episodes, I would say bank on them till you have the patience because you would be able to enjoy the story better. I was able to continue watching this show because I binge watched it. I would still do it if I could control myself from watching it everyday. I feel watching multiple episodes gives you a much better perspective rather than the flow of the story breaking after just 20mins of viewing.

I have no clue what the PH or SP plans on doing. They'll probably show re-runs of a track that fits the tentative timeline.

I LOVED THAT SHOW. Tumhari Paakhi was one of the few shows where I was content with the progression of the leads' love story (I did end up losing interest after the ML exit though). And now that you bring it up, it is extremely close to the dynamic that KuKu could share. I can definitely see the parallels between Kunal-Kuhu and Anshuman-Paakhi.

Thank you for reminding me of that show!! Off to binge all of the episodes all over again!!

Just saw the promo. It seems interesting. I'll give it a go during the break or before if I get the time. Thanks for the recommendation🤗

Can I ask you what the closure point was? I'll stop watching there. The answer to this question will bring spoilers so it's probably better to not answer.

Ughh !! Another random dance sequence which includes KuKu??

Why can't the makers leave this out of place song and dance routine to the leads and give us a decent KuKu scene where they are actually trying to understand and listen to each other?

@Meera: Hi-five! I tend to have a soft spot for all Shashi/Sumeet shows because I love the way they write their slow-burn love stories and their spunky FLs, but TP is in my top two! Kuhu reminds me a lot of a SS heroine and I remember getting major Anshuman/Pakhi deja vu from the moment they revealed how Kuhu was going to deal with this sham marriage; it just increased as Kuhu won over the RVs and patiently guided Kunal through the ripple effects of Meenu's manipulation.

I have to admit, my hopeful prediction that we would see a role reversal after the second marriage also came from how the second phase of TP played out, but I'm starting to think I may have expected too much. 😕

I tried to keep this vague to avoid spoilers, and I hope I managed that! 😛

@Aqua: I just checked and my version of the show is just the first six seasons as they are divided on Hotstar. How convenient 😃

Also really enjoyed the summation you did -- what an effort! 👏

We all want to know that. But I am okay with this dance sequence if it buys the writers more time to give us a decent story after this break.

What I am not okay with is the weird filter they are putting in the song sequences. They did that during the last one and now, with this. It irritates me to no end when suddenly there seems to be a filter over my screen.

I found this fan vid on IG on Kuhu. It’s so well done. It has clips from the OG show focussing on Kuhu’s childhood.
Man the Kuhu-Kunal fandom never fails to amaze me. (Apologies if this has been posted before. I have seen most comments but may have missed it).
