I guess 1-2 people visited the StarPlus office (unsubstantiated) and maybe 2-3 A4 size b/w posters were stuck in bus stops (Vandalism right there). Those people can only talk. One side they were talking about respect women, other side they were trashing Gul, also a woman, and called her by sick names. They were apparently constantly calling StarPlus to the extent that they stopped picking up (unsubstantiated once again) and they were proudly boasting about it. If that actually happened, then it is called harassment. Stupid people they were. Karma served them right.

Hubris === Nemesis

I am very happy that those shitty fans got a well deserved slap form their own producer. And the actors! What can I say about them! The FL mocked women in sarees slyly and the ML was caught unintentionally on cam bitching about actors and their awards.

Please don’t get me started about Shitbaaaz, it’s actors and it’s fans.

The only people I feel sorry for is the crew of that show who would’ve lost their jobs.

Someone please point out as to where Gul has acknowledged 60k being spent. 🤣

'Ishqbaaaz is not even in the top 5', producer Gul Khan on the leap and Surbhi Chandna's exit from the show

Producer Gul Khan faced a lot of flak on social media over the last days after she confirmed that Nakuul Mehta will be playing Shivaay and Anika’s son in the show and that they are looking for a female lead to star opposite him. Fans got #NoSurbhiNoIshqbaaaz trending on Twitter overnight and fans are even planning to send multiple letters to the channel’s office requesting them to not let Surbhi go. Speaking to IWM about her decision of the leap, Gul said, “It’s a natural progression in any daily soap to take a leap! It’s nothing so dramatic or new!”

When asked why she wants to replace the pair instead of working with the same actors, she said, “Simply because it’s not working! In the last 5 months the ratings and time spent on the show has been dismal! 1.5 tvr and 11 minutes of time spend! For a show to stay on air, you need minimum 15 to 17 minutes of TSV (time people spend watching one episode). So clearly people are not watching enough for it to survive!” On pointing out that Ishqbaaaz has a good following online, Gul replied, “Yes but that’s not enough! A small bunch of people tweeting about the show is not enough for a show to survive! And if it had serious digital following it would have reflected on Hot Star! Forget about being No.1, Ishqbaaaz is not even in top 5 on Hot Star! So what digital following are we talking about! There are no serious numbers on the show anymore even online!” [ALSO READ: Fans get #NoSurbhiNoIshqbaaaz trending after reports about leap and new entry in Ishqbaaaz start doing rounds]

She added, “Star has been very co-operative and has given IB many chances. But it cannot survive on these ratings; so we have to take a leap and give the show a new drift! It’s the most common thing to do on a daily soap!” Gul also said that Surbhi is not comfortable playing a mother onscreen this early in her career. She also revealed that Shivika’s pregnancy track was what they wanted to do before the leap thing happened. She said, “That was the initial plan, but Chandu (Surbhi Chandna) is not fine with playing a mother at such an early stage of her career, and I understand that totally!” According to reports in BollywoodLife, Vikram Singh Chauhan has been roped in by the makers to play the role of Shivaansh, Shivaay and Anika’s son. Stay tuned with us for more updates.

I am surprised you are even taking Shitbaaaz fans seriously! They are pompous idiots who died a miserable death staunchly believing that their show was the best, their Jodi was the best yada yada yada... 🤣

Please don’t fall prey to such baseless claims.

I can only speak for myself, as a teen landed up at Sitara's office to get back a certain star. After a decade my class mates who work for different mncs close to Star's corporate space, have personally taken snaps of some flyers posted on the walls and were trolling them on WhatsApp.

So i am not going to discount their trips. due to fan pressure or just to retain audiences Gul extended Anika's pregnancy track .

For two months thousands of tweets in the form of trends came up on twitter.

Yes you have described IB fans well, they were pompous to the core.

I believe this online fans going to offices reincarnated since 2017, 2018. Some got a second season, others extension or went off air. am referring to shows across channels which were in similar status as IB. You can term it as drama, fans will call it efforts.

There r no record about expenses incurred, true to that.

IB fans were ranting about online trps so Gul freaked out and spoke so much in detail.

SC claimed that producers did not want her to continue and Gul claimed otherwise. Again it is between themselves.

Since the question is about online ratings and trps about YRHPK and IB is just used as a reference, the article so posted by you is valid as to why barc ratings matter.

I call it stupidity and not drama. Don’t these people have anything else to do in their lives other than going to Star offices?! (if it even happened in reality and not just yet another lie)

Harmonal teenagers as Gul rightly said! It is just a TV show. We all have our own lives. Better concentrate on that.

Fangirling is fine. Following on SM is also fine. Doing such extreme things like protests (if it happened in real) and involving in harassment and vandalism speaks poorly of them.

Feel really sorry for them that they are channelising their energy and efforts for such trivial inconsequential things. ☹️

Hormones is not restricted to teens alone, there are women too. No regrets about getting favs back, we go to see them till the end. This was a decade ago. Drama is one of case particularly when certain pairs are too addictive.

Ritvik's fans also behaved in a similar manner and got an extension. They were happy and still want him with Jannat. In a way that is good as twitter is a happy place, who wants solo wars. As far as the current one is concerned, seriously no idea about age grps of fans but the power and fuel comes Shaheer's kingdom or there may be many like me who refrain from tweeting.

I was just quoting her.

Anyway what I meant to say was it is okay as long as it is on Twitter. But getting down on streets and protesting for such things is bull shit.

TBH, I am not making much sense from the highlighted portion.

Frankly, TV shows don’t run based on star powers. It works purely based on how much a story and a character is able to grow on the audience.

Shaheer’s last show DEM was a huge disaster. This clearly proves my point. TV audience don’t care about stars. We on social media would like to think otherwise. But believe me TV audience who don’t give a shit about off screen stuff are much bigger in numbers compared to SM.

DT is a huge star right now. Look at her The Voice. Agreed that she was just a host and couldn’t have have done much for the show to work. Nevertheless, the fact is that the show was a flop.

Even I can say election result is manipulated. I’d look like a fool since I’d not be able to substantiate it with proof. Same with these conspiracy articles.

I’ve been following this so called Online TRPs are published by some random YouTube and Facebook pages. No web portal used to publish that. Some time back, this list put Ishq Mein Mar Jawan at No.1. Some fan posted the fb page post link on twitter tagging the lead actor Arjun Bijlani. It was only after that that India Forums starting posting this. Soon after, other portals followed suit.

Second, this list put Ishqbaaz at No1 which was refuted by its own producer Gul Khan who went on to claim that the show was not even in TOP 5 on Hotstar.

Ummm, no, I know the diff between articles ABOUT something, and articles GIVEN out by the top level management of an organization. My line of work is such that I need to know, actually. So no. I don;t read conspiracy articles or believe them. And I also know the diff between media house that put in research bfr publishing stuff and those that just publish whatever they hear.

Case filed by BARC against regional channel fro TRP manipulation (ET does not generally publish whatever the hell) : https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/industry/media/entertainment/media/raj-tv-caught-again-for-alleged-manipulation-of-tv-ratings/articleshow/63271858.cms?from=mdr

ANother case filed, this time published on the BARC website, obviously authentic: https://www.barcindia.co.in/AnnouncementDetails.aspx?ID=122

Excerpt from another BARC article on IT'S own site "The BDC is a step forward in our commitment to ensuring transparency, and eradicating this long existing malpractice of panel tampering"- source: https://www.barcindia.co.in/AnnouncementDetails.aspx?ID=81

Excerpt from a paper published by TRAI "Further, over the years new issues have emerged which need to be addressed.Several concerns relating to neutrality and reliability of the existing rating system have been raised by stakeholders, which necessitated a need to review of existing Television Audience Measurement and Ratings systemin India. Further, issues relating to panel expansion and panel tampering have surfaced which need special attention because they have significant impact on the TV channel ratings. " Source: https://main.trai.gov.in/sites/default/files/CP_TAM03122018.pdf TRAI's paper, obviously authentic

So basically BARC TRAP DATA IS MANIPULATED IS CLAIMED BY BARC and TRAI, not random ppl, or general news sites that publish rot consistently. There is really no question that TV TRP data IS MANIPULATED/ NON-TRANSPARENT.
