Whatever you say. This is a very generic discussion and not your words against mine.
All of us have choices. The right to choose content and mediums remains with viewers. Since OTT platforms have started some shows are online hits and the others are high on ratings.
Thank you.
Thank you for your time sir/mam.
People living in urban areas like you and me have already moved on to digital content. But there are still a much bigger chunk of people who still watch their TVs from day to night. Frankly I don’t find Hindi web series appealing. Especially the ones by ALT Balaji seem like shortened versions of TV serials except for a few like BOSE.
The problem with Hindi web series is that I feel there is a lot of unnecessary vulgarity. Every damn Hindi web series I have watched has had some random sex scenes inserted, sometimes for no reason at all. This fad has to stop.
English content is much more refined in its story and content.
But for the Indian context, TV shows will still be relevant for a long time now unlike Indian web content which is still trying to find its ground.
For me, I’d bid adieu to Hindi TV the day when the only show I watch, Ye Hai Mohabbatein, shuts down. Only God knows why I am still watching the show! Loyalty I guess... Don’t have it in me to invest in another Hindi show.
