Why 1.6 trp - Page 7

Keeping this fake Online TRP’s aside, if you ask me to guess what the most popular StarPlus show is, I’d say KZK. The show is promoted excessively by Ekta and Star and as a result has pretty much a great audience base and fan following online which is the biggest for a StarPlus show right now.

P.S. I do not watch KZK and have no particular fondness for the show. I find the show’s story stupid and regressive to the core. Like how on earth do people watch ML getting married to FL and the vamp and plan consummation with both of them?!

It's been written into the show with a kidnap track just to bring in Hostages.

And I still don't get the FAKE online TRPs argument. Is there any tracker that shows online TRPs ARE fake?? Nope, don't think so. There is no standard tracker so the online TRPS we see may be true, may not be true. Why shld we write them off as fake at all? (Let me add here, TV TRPs are given by 2- 3 folks and each one has diff numbers at times esp for the top shows, so that undermines the credibility of TV TRPs further, for me personally and I am NOT talking abt the bonus points added to raw TRP for top shows )

But BARC TRPs ARE manipulated as per BARC itself so we have some concrete reason to believe those are fake, at least what we see. I bet channels have the accurate figures in hand anyhow. There was a recent article too abt how TRP data has been leaked adn all adn abta year back BARC actually made an appeal to revamp the whole TRP system and replace it with something more sensible.

So, as far as facts go:

1)BARC has raised qs abt TV TRPs/ TRP box users have admitted they have been approached by channels- so I don't place much weightage on those

2) No standard orgn gives online TRPs- so I wont say they are fake or accurate bcos I just dont have enuff info to say either

I just don't get why TV TRPs shld be taken as gospel truth but online TRPs are dissed as fake. Nope, don't agree at all there.

If the new setbox TRP measurement becomes more prevalent across India TV TRPs also might be more accurate but that system has NOT rolled out fully at all. very few pockets have it avl so again, not much of an impact on overall accuracy there.

Besides which, I wud NOT keep online TRPS aside at all for another reason- the target audience for YRHPK is the younger gen audience NOT the elderly ones or middle aged who typically watch a show that is saas bahu/ drama/

THis audience is the online audience NOT the TV watching audience esp after teh TRAI guidelines changed. In MY POV, online TRPs are the ones that will tell me if this show is reaching IT'S target rather than the TV TRPs.

I only wish Hotstar and Voot released online TRPs data and made it transparent.

But I guess StarPlus already has promos featuring actors from YRKKH, YHM and Kullfi to promote Hostages. Actually having watched StarPlus for the last 5.5 years, I know that it is very common to do such promotions. When Rishton Ka Chakravyuh launched, there was one stupid scene in YHM where Ishita mistakenly calls the FL of the new show and they talk about motherhood. The funny part is that Ishita dials a wrong number twice in two different episodes and both the types magically that same FL is on the other side talking. 😂🤣

That is the point. They used YHM then bcos it ws popular, the same way they are using it here. No one said YRKKH, kulfi SHOWS ARE NOT POPULAR. yrhpk IS ALSO POPULAR AND IT REPLACED Ishqbaaz. If it is not popular it wont be used.

No one disagreed with it.

It is such a 'progreeisve show' that it caters to TV watching audience well.

YRHPK is a 'regressive show' so it only has online TRP not TV viewing audience. It doesn't have many things that are are used generally in serial. No falling, no forest scenes, etc. But a relatable realistic approach or idealistic. They don't know that they shudn't use their mind.

KZK's Online TRP comes from being one diff. platforms like ALTBalaji as well as Hotstar unlike YRHPK which is only on hotstar yet it is so near to it.

I strongly agree. The plot is not weak at all compared to many shows esp those on top 5. I tried to watch one of them yest and i couldnot out myself through that torture for more than 10 mins. I fail to understand how people watch these illogical shows.

I think trp has been pretty stable. And it is doing quite well for that time slot. Hopefully next week wont be affected czz of new shows.

Exactly. For me this is the only watchable show at present.

I don’t believe in this fake shit called ‘Online TRP’. I’ve been telling that this list is a sham. It is not viewership data. I was giving my personal opinion based on what I see in neutral pages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and India forums.

You have been misguided my friend. BARC never acknowledged about its own data being manipulated. I guess you got this ideas from conspiracy articles online. Kehne ke liye kya hai?! Even I can say election result is manipulated. I’d look like a fool since I’d not be able to substantiate it with proof. Same with these conspiracy articles.

I’ve been following this so called Online TRPs are published by some random YouTube and Facebook pages. No web portal used to publish that. Some time back, this list put Ishq Mein Mar Jawan at No.1. Some fan posted the fb page post link on twitter tagging the lead actor Arjun Bijlani. It was only after that that India Forums starting posting this. Soon after, other portals followed suit.

Second, this list put Ishqbaaz at No1 which was refuted by its own producer Gul Khan who went on to claim that the show was not even in TOP 5 on Hotstar.
