Ruhi has always been clear about her objectives with Armaan. Armaan knew that she expected her and Armaan to get married after the one year contract is over. Yet, he never bothered to draw boundaries, or say that his feelings for her are not the same.

At this point, Armaan looks like a loser who simply enjoyed the attention of two girls. And in his insane need to please the family he does not even realize that he essentially ruined Rohit's life. Rohit had met Ruhi just once before her marriage was fixed, and was attracted to her but obviously there was no love involved. Armaan knew that Ruhi wouldn't love Rohit. Yet, he did not stop Rohit from getting married. The show showed it like a big sacrifice, but to me, it always felt a selfish decision based on not wanting his family to be angry at him.
