Didn't they get the USA doctor who seems to be vacationing for Abhir surgery so I don't think AbhiM is performing them anyway...nd true while it's ethically wrong it ain't criminal to operate on ur family

As far as I know der is no such conditions against operating on family members in india. And this does happen a lot in India. If ur family member is a better doctor , den u can choose to be treated under him or her.

Also ethically wrong and criminally wrong are two different things.

Please feel free to put a link to IMA guidelines if u find dem. I couldnt find any similar guidelines and I dnt remember reading it before too. But I might be wrong.

.

i know we can treat them…..treating them is different than operating on them

I read somewhere in forensic medicine about it ….it psychologically disturbes surgeon to person on own family member or dear ones soo it is ethically not possible for them….i do treat my family members that doesn’t mean i can go perform surgery on them…

There r some conditions where if there is no option then a family member can perform surgery but I don’t think that is in this case

Ofc that'll be the case here 🤪

Dr. Roy will either get stuck in the dungeons of the castles he's busy visiting, or fall off the camel & break his hand, or get diarrhea after eating spicy food..

And India's best surgeon aka khoon ke papa (who apparently doesn't bother checking dob of his patients) will be back in OT performing butter knife surgery on Abhir🤣🤣

And US chachi will say out loudly "Itne saalo baad bhi Abhira ke beech vhi rishta hai.. Ye rishta kya kehlata hai."

Manju & Ar will throw eye daggers.

Mimi will say "Swarna"

Swarna will say "Maaji".

Meanwhile Dr. Roy cursing himself for coming to UD

Its a personal choice

If a surgeon is mentally strong enough to operate on a family member they can. Indian medical counsil has no such laws against it. As long as you do no harm.

Psychology of each doctor is different . So its not all by the books. Indian Ethical committee has no such guidelines against treating or operating on family members. Still for argument sake .....ethically questionable thing is not a criminal offence. So yes its not criminal for a surgeon to operate on a family member . You dont do it.....dts a personal choice. But people do do it.

serious u think he can do it……it will be like having panic or anxiety attack for him while doing surgery again mahima or akshu much come and calm him down it will lead to there reunion….simple as that….i am saying it in my personal experience when we do surgery on our family either we will be too cautious or too nervous in both cases it will case complications or damage to patients…i know in india there is no such rule as it potraits as crime but most of the world they follow amc or who guidelines…..where they clearly mentioned about complications and what worst can happen…it’s not I don’t do and what people do it…if we go for any cardiologists who was a family member for surgery they will surely refer to other capable surgeon and will look after the treatment procedure….this is what happens in world….just to support abhim we can ignore the fact he blanked out during akshu surgery time…

Lol

Why are you getting so aggressive ????

Its just a discussion

First toh .....I dnt like AbhiM at all. If you hv read any of my other posts you would hv known dt already. I dnt support AbhiM or even like him at all.

I replied to the post as a general Q abt medical ethics . I knw whole world follows WHO. But WHO hasnt laid such rules either. Every country has its different set of rules. If I am living in India , I will abide by laws over here. Our practice , our curriculum and the population we serve is vastly different from the other parts of the world. Dt is why different set of rules and ethics. Just a small example......the western world believes in revealing the gender of the unborn child is completely okay. But in India its a punishable offense.....bcz we have a high rate of female foeticide in India.

Also.....I dnt believe all docs refer their relatives. If my known relative is a the best surgeon in a field , then I would entrust him or her , rather find another surgeon. Whether or not he or she wants to perform the surgery......is a choice.

As for AbhiM.......I dnt knw if he can or cannot operate on his own child maintaining professionalism. I hvnt studied his character in dt much depth. Half of the things they show in dt hospital is wrong only. Besides he did arrange fr another surgeon if I am not wrong.

If you dnt agree ......den we can cordially agree to disagree.

I didn’t use any foul language or abusing words…… I’m not talking about the countries variations. Also, I’m talking about the ettics in America are also applied in India, because we don’t have our own guidelines where NMC itself will mention that we are followed this guidelines in some points. In particular they could’ve been guidelines or something, and I know that we don’t do gender test because as you said there are more abortions occur due to it, but there are some set of unrules that are followed by all world which who provides and there is no problem guidelines that a doctor should or shouldn’t treat a patient regarding it and I’m not contraindicating my statement itself and I’m saying that all surgeons I’m talking about surgeons not doctors .doctors treatment is different and surgeons doing surgeries different. That is what I’m trying to say from starting onwards…. If you take it otherway I can’t help it. I am not getting aggressive and it’s just a discussion.if possible u can ask ur relative about it because it can be useful information for all of us too
