Chapter 22

It's been a week since that horrible incident. Akshara is comparatively better now. Nimisha has completed her 3rd month. It's a Sunday today.

Abhimanyu wakes up and sees Akshara sleeping peacefully. He smirks and starts playing with her hair.

Akshara: Abhimanyu let me sleep, what are you doing?You said you don't have to go to office today as its Sunday (While pushing his hand away)

Abhimanyu(Kissing her ears): what am I doing?

Akshara: Abhimanyu (in a sleeepy voice) why are you up so early?(while pulling the blanket above her face).

Abhimanyu(slowly pulling the blanket down and kissing her cheek): I just woke up and saw a beautiful girl sleeping besides me, so I thought I should just slightly irritate her.

Akshara: that means you won't let me sleep.

Abhimanyu: not really. Do you remember what you did to me 2 days back and places kisses on her neck.

Akshara: now you will take revenge from me.

He only smirks.

Flashback Starts

Its early morning Abhira are sleeping. Abhimanyu’s phone starts ringing and Akshara wakes up. She is about to wake up Abhimanyu but sees him sleeping peacefully.She then herself gets up to check the phone. She sees it’s from the office and receives.

Akshara: hello

Person: hello mam, actually sir had a meeting at 4 pm but now it has been rescheduled to 11 am.

Akshara: ok i will let him know.

Person: thank you mam.

Akshara(sitting by his side): Abhimanyu you had a call from your office, you have an important meeting at 11.

Abhimanyu: there is still time left let me sleep and puts his head in her lap.

Akshara(caressing his hair): you only will get late and then you will tell me why didn't I wake you up.

Abhimanyu(while holding her hand): come you also sleep. Why are you up so early?

Akshara: no, now that I am awake I will freshen up and kisses his forehead.

Abhimanyu: listen take care. Though the wound has healed but still.

Akshara: ok

Akshara sees its 8: 30 only and goes to washroom. When she comes out she sees Abhimanyu is still sleeping and realizes he will get late for the office. She thinks of an idea. She goes near him and opens the two buttons of his kurta.

Abhimanyu(eyes closed): see madam if you think by doing such things I will wake up then you are sadly mistaken and he turns away from her snuggling more into the pillow.

Akshara turns him towards her and opens her hair which was wrapped in towel and shakes her head on his face and water drips down from his face down to his body as she had opened the buttons too. Before Abhimanyu could react she rushes and opens the bolt of the door. But before she could leave the room he catches her and pins her to the wall.

Abhimanyu: you know na I hate cold water (water dripping down his face)

Akshara: Abhimanyu listen to me, actually.......

Abhimanyu: what happened Akshara Abhimanyu Birla? Why are you stammering (while taking her dupatta and wiping his face clean).

Just then Anisha enters the room

Anisha: bhAbhi wo mujhe aapki..... (Turns around closing her eyes) sorry sorry sorry.

Akshara pushes Abhimanyu and goes to Anisha.

Akshara: come Anisha, what were you saying and leaves the room winking at Abhi and passing him a flying kiss.

Flashback Ends.

Akshara: Abhimanyu please leave it now. It’s all in the past. Forget it.

Abhimanyu: no way Mrs. Birla and pulls her above him and locks his hand on her waist.

Her hair completely falls on him from both side. He tucks her hair behind her ears.She buries her face in the crook of his neck.

Abhimanyu: actually I was thinking what exactly did you do that day?

Akshara: nothing much of that intensity.

Abhimanyu: ohh really, madam. Now I remember, you had opened the buttons of my kurta.

Akshara(lifts her face from his neck): so what does that mean you will also, with widened eyes.

Abhimanyu: what do you mean by you also? When you can why can't I? Also these days it's all about gender equality.

Akshara(trying to release herself from his hold): you won't do any such thing.

Abhimanyu: I will 100% do it and in fact I was thinking to take it to a higher level.

Akshara(gulping hard): what do you mean by higher level???

Abhimanyu: there is more fun in doing things rather than just saying them and with that he opens the first button of her shirt.

Akshara: Abhimanyu I was saying....

Abhimanyu(placing a finger on her lips): ssshhh... Opens the second button.

Akshara closes her eyes and in that very moment Abhimanyu kisses her on the lips deeply.

Abhimanyu(while parting): I would never do anything without your will and permission.

Akshara: thank you and I lov....... And bites her tongue.

Abhimanyu: what did you say just now?

Akshara: what, thank you.

Abhimanyu: no after that.

Akshara: nothing (lowering her head)

Abhimanyu: but I did hear something

Akshara: what did you hear? Tell me.

Abhimanyu: I heard, you said....

Akshara: what happened say it?

Abhimanyu: nothing. I guess I was mistaken.

Akshara: see I said the same thing and hugs him. Now go and freshen up.

Abhimanyu: ok. In the washroom he thinks I am pretty sure she said something I love but why would she deny it then. But I have actually not proposed her yet.

Akshara(thinking and blushing): pagal Akshara ye kya krne jaa rahi thi.

He comes out of the washroom.

Abhimanyu: I will go downstairs.I will make breakfast today.

Akshara: ok.

Once done Akshara goes to the kitchen and sees Abhimanyu preparing the breakfast.

Akshara: is it too early, why isn't anyone up yet?

Abhimanyu: may be its Sunday.

Akshara: hmmm. May I help?

Abhimanyu: you only see (while frying something).

Akshara: ok as you wish.

Abhimanyu: ouch (while holding his eye).

Akshara: Abhimanyu what happened? Show it to me (removing his hand).

Akshara turns of the gas and sees it’s not his eye but cheek that burnt due to the oil splatter. She makes him sit on the chair.

Akshara: wait let me see it.

Abhimanyu: Akshara it’s burning.

Akshara: let me get some ice.

She gets an ice cube and while walking towards Abhimanyu her dupatta gets stuck in the table and she falls on his lap. She tries to get up but Abhimanyu holds hertight.

Akshara: leave me Abhimanyu, let me apply this ice.

Abhimanyu: apply it when did I stop you. I haven't held your hands.

She rubs the ice cube slowly on his cheek while constantly blowing it. All this while Abhimanyu is staring at her and he kisses her neck.

Akshara: what are you doing Abhimanyu? This is the kitchen and not your bedroom and let me do this first.

Abhimanyu: ok with a sad pout

When she is done she kisses the slight burn mark and cleans the water left on his cheek due to the ice.

Akshara: feeling better.

Abhimanyu: Yeah slightly.

Akshara: ok leave me now. Let me check the breakfast.Everybody would be up by now.

Abhimanyu: actually I was saying (while tucking her hair behind the ears)

Neil(while entering the kitchen): sorry sorry sorry (turning around) kya bhai this is the kitchen not your room. Everyone comes here.

On the other hand Akshara pinches him on the chest and gets up from his lap. He too stands and before Neil turns he pecks her lips.

Neil:done? Can I turn?

Abhimanyu: yes and who had asked you to turn around. We weren't doing anything.

Neil: yes bro, it’s me who is blind and imagines things. Bhabhi Nimisha is feeling hungry.

Akshara: yes wait I will make shake for her.

During the day Akshara was super busy either with Anisha Or nimisha Or maa. So post lunch Abhimanyu takes her to the doctor for general checkup.

Dr: Mrs. Birla is perfectly fine now. I think Mr.Birla has been a good caretaker. You come with me I will remove your dressing.

Once they leave the hospital Abhimanyu takes Akshara to a shopping mall.

Akshara: why are we here? Everyone might be waiting at home.

Abhimanyu: nobody is waiting, I have told them we will be late.

Akshara: but why?

Abhimanyu: you come with me I will tell you.

He takes her to a saree shop and asks her to select a saree.

Akshara: kis k liye

Abhimanyu(gives her WTH look): actually I have an extra marital affair. So I couldn't understand what I should gift her so I thought I should ask you.

Akshara(looks at him in disbelief and hits his chest): what do you mean?

Abhimanyu: Arre I was kidding. Why do you ask such questions? Ok now without any questions please select a saree for yourself. Wait take these 2 and try them.

Akshara: but.....

Abhimanyu: come fast and sends her to trial room.

She wears both the saree but he likes none.

Akshara: Abhimanyu I am tired you are not liking anything.

Abhimanyu: wait, wait one last and hands her a saree.

She comes out of the trial room and she is looking mesmerizing. She is wearing a black blouse with a red saree which has a black lace.

Abhimanyu: perfect.

Akshara: finally, you do the payment I will change.

Abhimanyu: no need to change, come like this only. I have made the payment before only. I knew this would suit you.

Akshara: why like this?

Abhimanyu: You come I will tell you.

Akshara: Abhimanyu where are we going? This isn't our route.

Abhimanyu: surprise Mrs. Birla and winks.
