yes akshara did take it upon herself to win aarohis love but was aarohi worth the try... no like abhi pointed aarohi is selfish and has been like that always who just wants everything for herself and everyone in goenkas knows this fact, even before sirat died aarohi had problems sharing sirat with akshu because she believed that sirats love was just for her and no one else, but sirat loved akshu more because of what akshu was unconditional, and sirat said it very clearly akshu and kairav accepted her unconditionallyvand without judging.

both sirat and akshara knew aarohis problems but sirat dint correct it and thus the deep rooted hate and sautelapan, how much ever kairav and akshara try aarohi isnt able to let go of her selfishness, wasnt that the only reason she wanted akshara out of the house because she wanted all the love for herself and if akshu is there she will be the center of attention.

Sirats mom also spewed venom to aaru that goenkas will always prefer akshu over her because she comes from a rich background and thus more hate for akshu....

From what folks have said on here about S2, Arohi and Akshara NEVER had a close relationship, Arohi has ALWAYS queened it over Akshara (even before it came out they were half-sisters and Sirat was a second wife). And because Akshara refuses to un-chipko, Arohi is basically going to extreme behaviors (treating her like a personal serf) to punish her for it.

So can someone explain the source of Akshara's undying devotion to Arohi? It seems unnatural, clingy and well... masochistic.

It sucks to have your sister not like you but it happens often enough in real life - like the saying goes, you can't pick your siblings. Most people just drift away from each other, not try to force a relationship where one doesn't exist.

Just look at the weird triangle that's been created because of Akshara's inability to accept Arohi's aversion - Abhimanyu pining for and chasing after Akshara, Akshara pining for and chasing after Arohi, and Arohi pining for and chasing after an MD degree🤣

I've said this before in another post about akshu's and aarohi's personality clash. They just don't gel. Aarohi gets irritated with akshu's clinging over sweetness. I can understand that bcz I too am like that. I like my space, don't want ppl overdoing the love thing. But akshu never understood this about her sister and continued to behave in a way that drove her further away. Aarohi was always an independent minded thing who wanted her things and whatever she does to be her own. Akshu always wanted to do everything together. No idea why the writers have written her like that. And people saying it's bcz sirat conditioned her like that is so unfair. From the one week of episodes they showed with pre-teen akshu and aarohi, my understanding is that sirat had a special bond with akshu as she did with kairav. And they both loved her. Bcz akshu was not outspoken like aarohi and was self effacing sirat often spoke up for her against aarohi and got her her due. Perhaps that later made aarohi feel that akshu was more loved. And yes she being the baby of the family was probably spoilt a little too. But sirat telling her to overlook her faults and always guide her was just the kind of thing parents advice older siblings with. Not guilt-tripping. She was so anxious that any step feelings shouldn't crop up between her kids. And she was never the stereotype step - mom. And I don't agree that aarohi has absolutely no affection for akshu. She was upset when the sisters came to know that sirat was akshu's step mom and went to console her and all. Even now after akshu's accident she seemed genuinely concerned and affected. Also till this Abhimanyu thing came up aarohi never did anything explicitly to hurt akshu, only wanted her to stay away. If that idiot jija hadn't come in between the sisters would probably have eventually reached an understanding of each other. He just came and disrupted the poor Goenkas with his sadak chap wala louv. 🤮

The writers tried to develop this "aarohi akshara" soul sisters angle since they were kids. Like others mentioned, Akshu, as an infant, would save her sister in impossible situations and at that time Aaru did reciprocate. Sirat and Kartik were shocked ("asa connection toh twins main hota hai?") cause they were in sync w each other and their mom. But with time, Aarohi grew into this very insecure person but I don't think that's entirely Sirat's fault cause the thing she was insecure about most was Sirat and her relationship. But none of this explains how she went haywire enough to lie about everything and try to commit fraud for a seat in that exam.

Thank you for this unbiased view on akshu-aarohi relationship. This is what I hv been saying all along. Manish did have a large part to play in turning aarohi like this. Many's the time he has insulted Sirat with the bad- blood crap. And aarohi has heard it too. Then Sheila came on the scene and filled more crap into aarohi's mind. Just at that time the parents pass away and the entire family is thrown into major trauma. Kittu was the life of that family and it must have taken them years to come out. So the girls must have been neglected. Regardless of how young the actors are shown as, we must understand that bade papa, Badi maa and mimi are octogenarians and above. So what can we expect? How well could they have handled young kids at their time of life especially when buried under a such grief? If the parents had been alive they would definitely have righted the sisters.

About naira--she had the loving family support and all yet she ran away from home bcz of misunderstanding her mother. And wantonly stayed away for years till she was discovered and brought home. Even then she was angry and unfriendly with her mum while sucking up to her dad. She only made peace with her mother couple of weeks before she died. I don't think that was a proper and logical character development of naira. The writers butchered her. So what can you expect from them wrt this generation, be it aarohi, akshu or kairav. He is another one they have done wrong with. He wasn't like this as a kid.

Mannish and gang are ancient. They should know how to raise children by now yet they’ve let these girls run wild with their trauma and delusions. More than mannish, I expected Swarna to handle the situation because she raised Kartik and Keerti from a young age as their stepmom. They too had the trauma of losing their biological mom at a young age and they turned out “fine-ish”.

That’s the thing I don’t think people realize with Naira and Sirat. For whatever reasons, neither had the opportunity to be raised with good moms. Akshara was a brilliant mom! Like Hina’s scenes with kid Naksh were so cute and Naksh turned out great. But Naira grew up, mostly away from and hostile towards her mom so she lacked the opportunity to harvest all the good Akshara had. To see how Akshara handled the joint family (her entire childhood they lived away from the Singhania’s, in Australia I think, and then she ran away) and managed to keep relationships in tact. With sirat, Sheela was a terrible mother and her constant doubt was can she raise Akshu and Kairav well because she doesn’t know what good parenting is (never had it). So parenting for both of them was a new challenge but I have no doubt they performed well (not perfect cause keeping your child away from their father for five years and raising your daughter to envy your other daughter is problematic).

At times I think I am being too harsh on mannish and gang cause they’re old so they probably lacked the physical and mental ability to keep up with the young blood. Plus, they too dealt with the loss of their son and that’s unimaginable. IMO parents worst nightmare is seeing their kid die. But whatever the circumstances, they can’t blame the girls entirely. Everyone led to this situation.

1. mannish did by not asking Akshara about her feelings ever, not after the Tikal when he told her to have no relation W Abhi, not before saying yes to aarohis rishta, And just letting Aarohi harass Akshara their entire lives.
2. Kairav did by never speaking up. If Aarohi and Akshara lied by omission, so did Kairav. In fact, he is was the one that gave the most freedom to these girls to run wild and do whatever they pleased, regardless of the collateral damage. He saw Akshara hurt herself and let that go. He saw Aarohi lie and humiliate her sister but didn’t say much.
3. Manjari and harsh are obvious. If the first created the raita, harsh is the one that spread it and supported Aarohi throughout the way.
4. Akhilesh for being blinded by Aarohis zidd
5. Kartik and sirat for letting Aarohis insecurities fester.
6. Akshara by being Akshara.
7. Abhimanyu by being abhimanyu.
8. Aarohi by being Aarohi.

neither of the three are emotionally ready to carry out relationships yet they rushed into everything thinking they could handle it (spoiler alert, they couldn’t).

What Aarohi did was a crime (MD seat) and a blatant lie. What she did was also stupid and demeaning (marrying a man who thinks of her as shit). She got herself into this mess and as karma would have it, she got exposed and attacked by her family. Abhimanyu shouldn’t have been mad her cause that’s not really his business. He wasn’t marrying her bc she saved his life or prayed for his mom. He’s marrying her because he wanted his moms happiness so her lies shouldn’t have mattered.

What Akshara did wasn’t perfect either. Caring for her sister should also be wanting the best for her and the way abhimanyu and her marriage would’ve gone is terrible. But what Akshara did was more of a product of her environment and traumas. What Aarohi did was more a choice.
