Where is Akshara's deep love for Arohi coming from?

From what folks have said on here about S2, Arohi and Akshara NEVER had a close relationship, Arohi has ALWAYS queened it over Akshara (even before it came out they were half-sisters and Sirat was a second wife). So Arohi blaming Akshara for Sirat's death was just another example of the inherent nastiness that Arohi has always had towards for Akshara - not the cause of a sudden rift between them. And Arohi is just mean, her behavior did not arise from any insecurity about her mother's relatively lower darja in the Goenka family.

Arohi said to her today that she no longer considers Akshara her sister and Akshara faints from the shock. But from the looks of it, Arohi NEVER considered or treated Akshara like a beloved sister anyway. If anything, she's been pushing Akshara away her entire life. And because Akshara refuses to un-chipko, Arohi is basically going to extreme behaviors (treating her like a personal serf) to punish her for it.

So can someone explain the source of Akshara's undying devotion to Arohi? It seems unnatural, clingy and well... masochistic.

It sucks to have your sister not like you but it happens often enough in real life - like the saying goes, you can't pick your siblings. Most people just drift away from each other, not try to force a relationship where one doesn't exist.

Just look at the weird triangle that's been created because of Akshara's inability to accept Arohi's aversion - Abhimanyu pining for and chasing after Akshara, Akshara pining for and chasing after Arohi, and Arohi pining for and chasing after an MD degree🤣

Why does it matter anymore? I will never believe again Akshara's claim of love for Aarohi.

Like you said, it's the same obsession. Aarohi's soul aim is her career and be the best. And Akshara just took it upon her to win Aarohi's love..🙄

Aarohi was born premature and they thought she won’t survive and apparently Akshu (who was like 1) gave her kaala daaga to her and Aarohi survived. Then Akshu (again my wonder women when she was 1) pushed Aaru’s stroller away to save a pipe falling on her. Since literally Aaru was born, Sirat kept telling Akshu “oh you will always protect your sister, always take care of her”

Before the leap, Akshu was super obsessed with Aaru even though Aaru was always rude and Sirat kept telling Akshu “she’s your little sister so don’t mind her. Be there for her always”

I think Akshu has always been the more sensitive out of the two sisters so took those words to heart and she was legit raised by Sirat to think her only duty in life is to make Aarohi happy

That's my point - there has to be some pathology behind Akshara's "Aroo, Aroo-ing" all the damn time. It's not pure love. And now that's she's transferring her attachment to Abhimanyu, that unnatural devotion to Arohi finally fell apart.

WHY did she take it upon herself to win Arohi's love?

Yeah. Very possible. Unlike I thought earlier, Akshara has no personality whatsoever. Whoever has access to her can program her the way they want. Sirat did it first and she has been doing that all this while. Now Abhimanyu broke through Sirat's hold. Now it's his turn. Akshara is such a codependent I feel. That she has to latch on to someone to have some meaning in life..

I think Sirat is to be blamed…she made Akshu think her life’s purpose to take care of Aarohi

Once Akshu found out Sirat is not her real mother, instead of putting sense in Aarohi, she once again made Akshu think she should bear with Aarohi’s behavior and it was indirectly out into her head that she should be grateful for having such a great step mom.

Her family obviously doesn’t give care about her at all…she has serious attachment issues. She has serious ptsd from sirats death and Aaru keeps on triggering it for her….

I think maybe Abhi is the first person who has made Akshu their no. 1 priority? Don’t like how they handled all of this but her obsession with aaru kinda makes sense too
