So the janmashtavi celebration includes a solo act of Kartik-Vedika, Kartik-Naira and then the three of them together. What’s are the makers even trying to convey at this point? How a man must balance between two wives and a child?
The family enforcing Vedika upon Kartik in front of his kid, who thinks his parents are a happily married couple, and Kartik happily obliging or at least not resisting, is so damn insensitive.
I understand everyone’s anger towards Naira but at least respect the fact that she’s Kairav’s mother and was once Kartik’s wife. Why has everyone, including Kartik, forgotten what he accused her of just just because of his own damn insecurities.
I have said this repeatedly and would reiterate, her decision to run away with the kid was wrong, however, that still does not white-wash what Kartik did.
Can his dadi, who talks about kartik, as if he’s the most perfect man in the world, at least ask him once how could he question his wife’s character? The same wife who he claimed to have loved and trusted beyond anyone. Can his mother ask him what did Naira do which made him think the worse about her?

As for the Goenkas and Kartik wanting Kairav to stay in the GV:
Yes, Kartik deserves to spend time with his son. It’s not his fault he already lost 5 years of his life and it’s completely understandable that he doesn’t want to miss out on anything else, but he can’t just turn a blind eye to the fact that he’s married to another woman now. A woman who isn’t Kairav’s mother.
Kairav can’t live without his mother, Kartik and the entire family knows that, but it’s extremely impractical for them to expect Naira to stay in the same house as Vedika and Kartik. Two wives living under the same roof, are you kidding me?
If they want the kid, then at least let Naira live in peace. Don’t force Kartik and Vedika to dance in front of her just because they can. It’s so damn disrespectful on Kartik’s part because despite everything, he claimed to love this woman once. He’s not only disrespecting the mother of his child, but also the love and the relationship that they shared once.

Naira isn’t perfect either. As Kartik said, they are all in this mess because of her. Her choosing to run away, her not returning to stop the marriage, and now, not even accepting her mistake.
What’s annoying me about her the most is that she hasn’t once accepted that she was wrong to have withheld the child from Kartik. She thinks she was right to have let Kartik mourned for her and to keep the child away. Every time they have an argument she justifies her choices instead of accepting that she made a mistake due to the circumstances created by Kartik. She has fully convinced herself that she didn’t snatch Kartik’s rights as a father, when in reality, if he hadn’t found out the truth on his own, she would have never told him about his son. Allowing him to pay for the medical bills is not her giving Kartik his rights. I am sure if she had the money, she would have paid for the surgery herself. The only reason she allowed Kartik to contribute was because she couldn’t bear the expense on her own, not because she cared about his rights or anything.
Even now, for her to just assume that Kartik would follow her instructions on a whim is stupid. Her indirectly rubbing the fact that she knows more about Kairav than Kartik is also insensitive because she’s the reason why Kartik isn’t aware about the basic things about his son. It’s not like he’s a bad father, so she should stop pretending to be the better parent.

To summarise, this post is a rant. The storyline is going down the drain and it’s frustrating to see how Kartik and Naira are acting despite being parents now. Their arguments don’t make sense. The banter isn’t cute anymore because they refuse to learn from their mistakes. Characters are suppose to change and develop as the show progresses, but Kartik-Naira are the same immature adults that they were ever since they got together. 10 years of knowing each other and they can’t have one proper conversation without shouting at each other or letting their anger and ego come in the way. Where’s the character development?
Even the fans need to come out of the whole who’s right and who’s wrong argument because the reality is, Kartik-Naira are majorly flawed and so is their relationship. If one makes a mistake, the other does something worse to make it even and the cycle continues. It’s beyond me how they will recover their relationship this time around. Maybe another marriage and dozen other promises that would be broken within the next 6 months?
