So Saawan is pretty much in the last leg. And I thought why not start afresh!š
Fortunately or unfortunately, I couldn't incorporate more of Sidushka the last time around. This time, the focus is purely on them. So let's begin!
This one's quite normal, captures small moments and is kinda fast paced and short.

Chapter One
"Siddhant, jaldi karo!", Gayatri called out to him. "Result itni jaldi nahi aane waala Beta", she said.
Siddhant furiously refreshed the page. The last few days had been tormenting to say the least. He couldn't find solace anywhere, the anticipation of his 12th Std board exam results was engulfing his peace. He quickly grabbed his coat, adjusted his tie and with a quick look into the mirror, he joined his family downstairs.
The Cab was waiting already.
In no time, the vehicle breezed past the dusty dry streets of Lajpat Nagar to welcome the elite Vasant Vihaar. His eyes gleamed as they smoothly entered the grand gates of Reddy Mansion. The daze and delight soon caught up on him as he was distracted by the paparazzi of the whole event.
Gayatri, Purva & Siddhant got down from the car. It was the first time he had attended such an event. He keenly observed everything - the grandeur, the subtly decorated curtains in the spreading lawn and lastly, the Mansion itself - bathed in shimmering bulbs.
Prabhakar Sinha was already waiting for them with the man himself, KK Reddy.
"KK, yeh mera beta hain, Siddhant", he introduced him. He smiled quite coyly and shook his hands.
"Ah, a young man!", he exclaimed in joy which made him smile further.
"Gayatri ko toh tum jaante hi ho. Aur yeh hain Purva, meri beti", Prabhakar continued.
"Bohot accha laga milkar Bhabhi", KK replied whilst folding his hands. "Aur tumse bhi", he told Purva, who was pretty much a child still.
"Anushka, zara yahan aana", KK called her from a distance. A young, charming soul emerged from the crowd.
Siddhant couldn't quite notice her properly, until later.
"Yeh hain Anushka. Meri beti", KK said.
"Yeh Siddhant hain, Prabhakar ka beta", he told her. Siddhant & Anushka shook hands cordially and soon, the small introductory session got dispersed into the large sea of people.
"Tum kaunse Standard mein ho?", she asked him.
"12th, aur tum?"
"11th", she replied.
"Oh"
"Tum Bhaiya Bhabhi se mile?", she asked him.
He nodded negatively so she insisted on meeting the couple who had quite become the talk of the town. It was Srikanth & Riddhi's Reception.
After a formal exchange of words, he settled on a corner table. There was no one by his side, cause Gayatri & (baby Purva) were busy chatting with ladies and his Dad never indulged him in talks. Not that he was complaining but the party was turning out to be quite boring.
Even Anushka had vanished somewhere and it was then, when the result subject started raising his anxiety levels. He had almost forgotten it!
He quickly opened the site via his mobile and refreshed it. The link wasn't active yet.
His expression turned stern and cold. Why couldn't they announce the results and the corresponding news directly? At least the candidates didn't have to wait!
He looked around to distract himself again. He already had observed the lightings, the vases and yes - the big placard that had engraved Letters in gold - Srikanth weds Riddhi.
His gaze turned to the stage again. He observed the photoshoot that was on. The entire Reddy family was on stage. It was then when he fully noticed Anushka Reddy. She was a beautiful young maiden. Round face, hair flowing down the shoulders and a pair of large eyes.
He then saw the dinner counter and thought of munching on a bit. He picked up a plate and served himself Chinese - his favourite food. He could eat noodles & fried rice umpteen number of times, over and over again, without a break.
He settled back on the same table. The light was dim and dull there.
"Hey, can I join you?", Anushka approached him.
"Um, yes, sure", he replied, a bit nervous.
It was uncanny and surprising of her to join him for dinner when the party hosted was hers. She could've sat with anyone else, isn't it?
He adjusted his tie and couldn't help but observe her plate. It was identical to his.
"So you like Chinese too, it seems", He broke the silence.
"Yes!", she replied enthusiastically.
"You're in 12th, right? What are you thinking of pursuing now?", she asked him.
"Law. I want to be a lawyer"
"Oh, that's nice and interesting. I've never known a lawyer", she said innocently.
"Its a long way still. Three more years to go!", he said, with a glint in his eye. Becoming a lawyer had always been his dream. To him, it was more of a privilege and honour to represent Indian Law and uphold the virtues of justice. It was close to his heart and presently, he couldn't think of himself as anything but a Man of Law.
"Wait. Today are your results, isn't it?", she asked.
His face flushed and heart palpitated increasingly.
"Yes. I'm nervous", he replied. A part of his unsaid stress vanished as he agreed on being nervous. He hadn't told that to anyone till now - not even Gayatri. Something special was happening.
"Don't worry. It'll be fine. I know, I can just assure you but just feel that it'll be all okay", she spoke positively.
"The thing is, I'm not worried much about the score. Just that it should be 94% and above. I aspire to get admission in Delhi University", he said hesitantly.
"Oh. I'm sure you'll get it!", Anushka said.
They chatted on for a much longer time. They realised that they didn't share similar interests but sometimes just getting to know a different person is so adventurous.
He loved football, she loved music. He loved action while she loved thriller movies. But the only thing that fared common was the passion about pursuing a desired career. She wanted to do Management from a top college, that wasn't locked down yet. While he had already set his goals.
The camaraderie broke long after they'd started to talk so casually, when Prabhakar called Siddhant. It was time to leave.
The entire Reddy family gathered to see them off. He was searching for her when she just made it to the spot, grinning wide. He waited for her gaze to meet his eye and his face warmed up when it did. She gave him a big thumbs up, indicating luck for his result.
He acknowledged her gesture and got into the car, feeling different and a tad bit happy.
...
That's it for now.
Cheers!
