That's 1994. At that time a boy/man/hubby didn't have the power to drag wife in to his room in front of the guest. If he did that they would come to his room and there will be a riot. At first they would get in to the room and bash both Naina and Sameer for misbehaving with the elders. Next Vishaka would cut all relationship with Sameer and blame Naina for rest of the life. Mama mami would snatch Sameer's property and all the ppl who are in their society and related to business would stop all the deals with Sameer. As a result Chacha chahi would get hatred from everyone as they taught therit daughter to pollute hubby's mind and next Preety could never get married. Chachi would blame all to Samaina for this and they would cut all the relationship with samaina.

No relationship
No business
Preety's life ruined too... ( at that time in their kind of family girl getting no marriage proposal was more like a severe punishment.
At that time parents and elders were not like today. They were merciless. 😆

Where would this couple go? Jungle?
That happens in movies. Not in reality. We can't live without our society.

Besides this story is based on true life of 90s ...not 2019. At that time this was the situation...like it or not.

I was talking about her not lying in context with the bhalu wali hair 😆

I agree she didn't tell about the stolen paper which is yet to come out infront of agrawal family. But, she told sameer that she knows he hadn't done that. She didn't stand up for sameer coz they were not married and no body knew about their affair and when they came to know about theit affair even chachaji couldn't do anything.

I agree she didn't tell about the stolen paper which is yet to come out infront of agrawal family. But, she told sameer that she knows he hadn't done that. So she needs to marry him first to tell the truth? 😲

It looks more like a business deal than love/marriage to me.

She didn't do anything drastic because it would destroy her relationship with her family.

Sameer is also doing the same. To keep his relationship with his relatives keeping his mouth shut. Besides ...at that time they the relatives were highly powerful. 😉 I know...faced them . One slip of tongue could be more lethal than slip of tongue in India Forum . 😆😆

When the arjun thing happened it was one sided love for her. you know her situation at home if she opens her mouth she will never see the end of the day. They had insecurities before marriage. More for naina.

sameer has rebelled against his parents and mama(more powerful) mami to get married with her. They all are powerful. suddenly his anger is against her and not against world when she has become his wife.

i still say he didnt talk when it was necessary. About slip of a tongue sameer has done that a lot. That is nothing new to him.

Sameer's condition is neither great than Naina.
Both are in almost same situation. None of their family has pampering love for them.
Naina's support is her chacha, who can stop anytime...
Sameer's support was Nanu, who is dead.

If Sameer's mom/mama betrays even now he has to come to street...with Naina. It isn't easy for a 20+ guy to hire lawyer or run a case for prop . Happens in serial so easy...but this is no ordinary serial...based on true story. They just can't write something extraordianry which had absolutely no connection with real life story. May be Sumit Sir did that. Now they are old and that memory is just a past now. We know that S ameer learned and that Naina too.

She left Sameer to save him from ruining his life like it happened with Shefali...

Naina never ever spoke ugly about Sameer to anyone in any situation...

To me Naina's unconditional love has been the primary force to shed crazy about this show 😊

Again we should not compare marriage with affair... there is a reason why a girl leaves everything behind for a guy only after tying the holy knot...

Given the situation I don't think Naina would have tolerated Agarwal family insulting her husband... same way as she stood for Chachaji

Love is not a competition.
But if we see that...
1) Sameer became chor for Naina without stealing.
2) Attempt to murder criminal because he just tried to protect himself from Arjun.
3) Characterless for Naina in Mt Abu incident to protect her reputation from her father.
4) He worked as a slave at her home, saved Chacha-chachi's marriage, Bela chachi's humiliatyion, Puja di's izzat and marriage too...and there is an endless list what he did that time.
5)Fought with Sharad, saved her, protected her from that marriage even when Naina dumped him without a proper reason...
6)He fought with his entire family to be with Naina...left home, lost his house and may be more punishments are on the way...

There is actually endless works he did for Naina. If we measure Sameer would be at the top of Naina. But isn't that what love is. Even in his anger now ...I am seeing his love for Naina. Comparing to what he went through to be with Naina...I can forgive him. Know the condition of those days...what where the elders and how they used to treat junior gen ...I say Ok. Its just one day...tolerate the elders. Many days ar e still left for love.

It is just my POV - not intending to hurt anyone's feeling.

I don't know if this story is all about unconditional love of Naina anymore. I fell in love with Naina's character in school where she was this awkward nerdy girl who went outside of her element because she fell in love with the most popular guy in the school. I loved how she made herself a fool again and again just because she loved the guy so much. That was the Naina I loved.

I would have supported that unconditional Naina's love for Sameer theory only if the post break up sequence was handled by CVs properly, which they didn't. Now I see her as a girl who will do things only when it works for her and her family. Now it is Sameer and only Sameer that makes things work. I particularly do not see Naina's actions so much except that she is more in the receiving end. Lot of her actions have been questionable for me, including this marriage sequence where she could have easily persuaded Sameer to settle for a smaller wedding (not during storm, but earlier).

About eloping, did Naina really elope or hung around with friends until Chachaji returned back from USA? Eloping means run away secretly in order to get married, especially without parental consent. Neither Naina ran away to get married to Sameer nor she ran away without asking Bela Chachi. Then how was eloping at all? My other question is didn't she run away not to marry Sharad? It was never about running away to marry Sameer.

As for her talking bad about Sameer - I don't believe he has ever given her any reason to complain after the bet phase and little bit in manhoos phase. It is true that he dated Sunaina to make her jealous but it was during the time when they were broken up. It is actually Sunaina who has more right to crib about Sameer than Naina. If I were Sunanina I would have broken the jaw of the guy who would use me to make his estranged girlfriend jealous.

AT this point Sameer is religiously devoted to Naina and that is why I am complaining if he took such efforts to marry her, why let her get humiliated in front of his family? That is for me, Sameer being out of his element.
