I think it shifted to Sameer vs Naina from original issue 😆😆
Now that samaina are married they are one... one's respect is linked with other's... which has to be protected... just by VO feeling guilty does not justify it right... because until this incident we all were of opinion that Naina getting all taunts from mami and relatives due to Sameer's absence but if she get even more humiliation in his presence then the girl is defenseless

Hope Naina puts some sense in him by giving her piece of mind and don't stay mum..

My apologies but I could not help myself. I have been so disturbed by that breakup track that it still haunts me to this day. I actually almost gave up watching the show because the way make up track was shown.

Don't even mention make up track... be it ghanta Ghanti or suicide attempt... after bet revelation all make up tracks are 2 minute Maggie noodles...

But considering current shaadi track even they were better because drama ended in 1 episode 😆

Hehe. That is one good way of looking at those make up track. I personally did not think ghanta track was too bad but the other one was crappy, specially because it was a major breakup where Naina almost married someone else. It made me look at Naina differently and I have not been able to overcome that feeling even after they have married.
But i do agree that this marriage has been marred by dramas and lot of us have not been able to enjoy it.

This is exactly what I think, although Sameer hides more things from Naina.

Why did Sameer lie to Naina about his mom not liking her or he leaving the exam for her and much more? It was his way of shielding her from getting hurt or harmed. Why did Naina withhold information from Sameer about hair - it was because she did not want Sameer to get mad at her and leave the wedding and then she kept on procrastinating until it got too late. Lot of us thought instead of jumping on the bed, she could have taken it as an opportunity to tell him about the hair blunder.

There was a post here which said "Are Sameer & Naina still friends"? My answer was not quite yet. All these thing they are doing is because they are in girlfriend/boyfriend mode and are consistently trying to please each other. But marriage is not about pleasing each, it is more about having realistic dreams where the couple learns to be comfortable with each other, respect each other's individualism and become each other's strength. To become all that you need to be transparent with each other with attention to the health of the relationship in long run, not just short term resolution of trying to please each other.

Since the question of this post is "so looks matter for Sameer?", I want to add that apparently he did lie about it not mattering. Somewhere deep inside he wanted his bride to look good for himself as well as for other. Whichever way we look at it, he did react badly to the look!

Sameer has a habit of lying to anyone for anything. Since the very beginning we've seen him lie about so many things, the bet just being one of it. So lying is very much a part of his character. Naina on the other hand learnt to lie because of Sameer. The young school girl we met was honest to a fault but began by lying for Sameer. Now it seems she too has adopted this as a strategy.
It's amazing that ordinarily we learn bad habits when we are young and then as we grow up we shed them through our experiences of the bad effects these bad habits have on us. In the case of Sameer he does not take the lessons life dishes out and his bad habits, particularly lying and anger, is getting worse as he gets older.

As for Sameer claiming that looks don't matter, that's just a lie. It has always mattered to him. He always wallows in the admiration of his own looks whether it was the girls at school, college or Mami, "hero dikhta mera bahanjha". Also, no matter how much they say Sameer and Naina are different from the rest of the world, (since they came from Venus), Sameer like every man on earth wants a beauty on his arm. He couldn't get Julia Roberts or Madhuri Dixit, but Naina must still look good according to his standards of beauty.

But if we see that...
1) Sameer became chor for Naina without stealing.
2) Attempt to murder criminal because he just tried to protect himself from Arjun.
3) Characterless for Naina in Mt Abu incident to protect her reputation from her father.
4) He worked as a slave at her home, saved Chacha-chachi's marriage, Bela chachi's humiliatyion, Puja di's izzat and marriage too...and there is an endless list what he did that time.
5)Fought with Sharad, saved her, protected her from that marriage even when Naina dumped him without a proper reason...
6)He fought with his entire family to be with Naina...left home, lost his house and may be more punishments are on the way...

There is actually endless works he did for Naina. If we measure Sameer would be at the top of Naina. But isn't that what love is. Even in his anger now ...I am seeing his love for Naina. Comparing to what he went through to be with Naina...I can forgive him. Know the condition of those days...what where the elders and how they used to treat junior gen ...I say Ok. Its just one day...tolerate the elders. Many days ar e still left for love.

As Sameer says, his life is Naina, he lives for and through her. If she asked him to cut out his heart and give it to him in her hands, he would do it. Now, he hasn't spoken up because:
1. He is in shock because of the hair thing;
2. His own dreams of how she would look post marriage is in ruins;
3. Naina has committed one blunder after the other in every rasam post marriage;
4. They were already in trouble for being together in the room;
5. There are rishtedaar in front of whom he cannot behave as he normally does in front of his mother and MMS.
6. She stamped on his foot and pinched him for being late. There's lingering annoyance at this physical attack.
His own izzat is at stake together with Naina's. Standing up for her now means putting his own izzat at stake. The timing to throw a tantrum is just wrong.

No. I don't want her to argue with Sameer about not defending her. It is really time that Naina stands up for herself. These are the girls of the 90s who are to become the women of the 21st century who are independent and strong willed. So no drama about, "Mujhe kyon nahin bachaya, Sameeer 😭😭😭". No helpless female pleeeaaase!!!

Hi

Chalo I will also add some of my points.

@ Deepa you said she didn't lie to Sameer and that was about hairs.

If you see their wedding day she did lie and he got to know about it because of Bela.

That was the first reason to make him angry and he did Show his anger at her whole time.

Again I will say the same thing that she didn't use the opportunity to tell him when they were alone in room and honestly who jumps on bed in the middle of night when everyone is sleeping where noise can actually be heard downstairs?

She could've done that the next day as such all relatives were gonna leave the next day.

And this whole thread was about Sameer's silence when her hairs got exposed in front of all.

So many questioned that why he didn't say anything?

What he could've said when he himself was in shock?

See Naina's reaction she herself got scared when she looked in mirror.

At least elder Sameer regrets his actions that time for keeping quiet.

This one thing I noticed that elder Sameer always regrets when he does something wrong to Naina or makes her cry or because of him if she has to face any embarrassing situations but I never seen this in Naina not younger and even elder Naina also.

The only time I heard her regretting about Sameer facing all punishment and slapping when paper stealing truth came out in front of her that her brother did this.

After that I never saw any regrets be it for break up and putting him through so much pain only because of her fears or her father insulting him all the time just because he is rich and think of him as a bad boy.

That time how conveniently she said that she did all of this because of her family and questioned him what was his reason to propose Sunaina and doing all those things?

She completely ignored his pain,his hurt and we never even saw her introspection on her part of her actions regarding him.

Even elder Naina also wanted him to take Sanyas for proposing Sunaina and she even blamed Munna also for opposing their relationship that was pure jealousy of her.

On the other hand Sameer still regrets for that bet,breaking her heart and that time he promised himself that he will always take care of her happiness,her wish and till date he is fulfilling those promises.

After Anand's approval see he was so happy no questions asked no blame game he was just happy that he got her back.

If somebody else would've been in his place he would've blamed her for all the pain he went through but he didn't not younger Sameer or even Elder Sameer also.

If I have to choose between the love of a guy and some of his mistakes then definitely I will choose his unconditional love for me and for that I can overlook some of his mistakes.

I will always remember the things he did for me because he loves me and try to forget the bad memories.

Here she lied to him and he was angry for that so many said here he also lied to her about his Mom, principal not allowing him to give exams.

See these both times he tried to safeguard her.

When his Mom rejected her see when they were talking on phone the way she underestimated herself in front of him. She thought she is not good for him because of her looks and many other things. He didn't want her to think of herself less than him. In fact he knows that she is way superior than him in every sense and he wanted her to believe in herself.

Again he lied about exams that time also he tried to save her.

See her reaction when he told her the truth she panicked and said that Evil TT will throw her out of the house and even Anand will take back his consent about their relationship.

Just to calm her down he lied to her about exams.

Then again he fought with everyone to be with her supported her all the time.

If he didn't support her this one time because of his anger it's totally understandable at least elder Sameer regretted that and that is enough for me. I am saying for me I will give him a benefit of doubt here because of his age and circumstances.

The way elder Sameer talks that means he has become mature,responsible and most importantly he understands his mistakes and the love he has for his Naina and that's what matters the most.

This whole hair fiasco if you see Naina lied to him and on top of that she was scared that he will leave her just because of her hair. It made me wonder is this the trust she have on him?

To be with her he fought with everyone and just because of her hair he will leave her which will get better in just 3-4 months.

We can also say the same thing in these 4 yrs of relationship how little trust she have on him as compared to him. No matter what but I never see Sameer not showing trust on her in fact he knows her so well that how confidently he talks about her, her capabilities and what she can do.

And anyways this is Sameer and Naina no matter what for them their love matters the most at the end of day.

They will forget all their differences the moment they are together.

But TBH more than Sameer I wanted Naina to take a stand for herself and as for me I will still justify Sameer. Just because he is a husband doesn't mean he can't get angry for her lie.

@jhalak7

I completely agree with you. I really loved your post.
