Part 2 : Confrontation
As Sameer Munna and Pandit reached the corridors they saw the agarwal clan buzzing there. Stress and tension was clearly visible on chacha chachi's face afterall their dear daughter was fighting for her life.Chachaji was extremely disappointed with himself how he couldn't help Naina when she needed him the most how will he face her now... He knew Naina always looked up to him whenever she was subjected to those useless parades in front of Sharads family ...when her dreams to pursue higher studies were being crushed brutally but how easily his very own chachaji sucmmbed to elders pressure. He was cursing himself for not taking stand for Naina when she needed him the most... Had it been preeti at Naina's place would he still behaved the same way as he did this time he questioned himself.
"Bela shyd humse wohi galati ho gyi jiska dar tha jaane anjaane mei humne Naina aur Preeti mei fark kar hi diya kyunki agr aisa nai hota toh aaj shayd Naina yahn nai hoti"tears tickled down his eyes saying so... this time she had no words to console his husband as she too was in so much pain seeing her daughter in such a pathetic condition
Two great souls who were still unaffected by the entire situation was taiji and Rakesh. They continued to rant how careless Naina was and were extremely worried about the big hospital bills that would soon be presented to them." Rakesh was no less he too had venom to be spewed "bhabhiji hospital ka kharcha karke yeh mat samaj lena aapki zimmedari khatm hai abhi Naina ki shadi ki zimmedari bhi maine aapko hi di hai bhooliye mat "
"Bas kijiye aapdono hosh mei toh hai is time humari bachi zindagi aur maut se ladh rhi hai aur aapdono ko shadi aur hospital k kharche ki padi hai abhi uska chacha zinda hai mara nai hai jo krna hoga mai karunga ab aap log meri beti se dur hi rahiye... Aur yeh baat aapke liye bhi hai Rakesh bhaiya ek baar bol rha hu Naina meri beti hai uski zindagi ka faisla bhi ab mai hi karunga beti sirf kehne se nai hoti uske liye farz nibane padtey hai jab bhi Naina ko aapki zarurat thi aap nai they chahe uske school meetings ho ya koi prize distribution aap kahi bhi nai they aur aaj jab uski zindagi ka itna bda faisla krne ki baari aayi toh mujhe aur Bela ko aapne bolne tak ka aadikaar nai diya... Maanta hu humne paida nai kiya hai par paide krne wale se paalne wala bda hota hai bhaisahab "asserted Anand in a firm tone.
This didn't go down well with Rakesh and he yelled "Naina meri beti hai Anand aur aaj voh is hospital mei bhi tumhare wajah se hai tumne hi uske dimag mei padai likhai ka bhoot baithya tha shuru se sach bola hota ki ladki jaat hai aakhir krna toh chulha chauka hi hai na voh na sapne dekhti na toothey aur na hi apni jaan dene ki koshish krti tune hi ladkiyon ko ser chada k rakha hai "
Sameer who was witnessing the family circus got the shock of his life... Naina tried to commit suicide ... Oh gosh how could he not understand what she was being through all this while.
Taiji was no less she too had her own share of venom "Neh vaah mujhe toh koi aur hi chakkar lag rha hai padai likhai k liye kon jaan deta hai zarur iska laapa jaapa chal rha hai kisi ladke se ... hey bhgwan ab Sharad k ghrwalon ko pta chalega toh kya muh dikhayenge hum "
"Bhabhi ji bs kijiye kabhi toh waqt aur jagah dekhar baat kiyje "reprimanded Anand
"Arjun toh ladka tha voh bessati toh mai seh gya par agar aisa kuch Naina ne kiya hai toh mar hi jaye toh ... Sameer didn't gave Rakesh the chance to complete his sentence and held him by his collars "Bas ab ek aur shabd nhi jitna bolna tha bol diya aapne ... Bhut pyaar se samjha rha hu warna mujhe majbur mat kijiye ki mai yeh bhool jau ki aap Naina k pita hai " fire raging in Sameer's eyes... Everyone standing there was literally shocked... Munna Pandit immediately came forward "Chod sameer kya kar rha hai " ...
Rakesh who was stunned by this act came to his senses and literally pounced on Sameer and slapped him tight and held him by his collars "Teri himmat kaise hue mera girebaan pakadne ki aur tu aur tere namune yahn kar kya rahe ho " but this time Sameer was not in a mood to relent he jerked his hands forcefully " Pyaar krta hu main Naina se bhut pyaar aur mujhe nai lgta ki maine kuch galat kiya hai...sharam toh apko aani chahiye ki aapki apni beti zindagi se ladh rhi hai aur aap kya ulta sidha bole ja rahe" ... Another slap on Sameer's face Rakesh anger knew no bounds "tujh jaise bigdail se umeed hi kya ki ja skti hai meri boli bhali ladki ko phasa liya hoga " ... "O bai bholuram tumhe maine kya samjha aur kya nikle tum humari naak k niche hi Naina se tichku tichku tai tai kar rahe they humei pta hi nai chala ... Bela aur kr lo ladkiyon ko laad.. dekh lo tumhari Naina ne naak ktwa di hai aur hn ab mat kehna meri wajah se marne chali thi padai toh bahana thi asal mei toh apna muh kala krwa aayi hai ladki... ab chupane k liye yeh jaan dene ka natak kar rahi hai... Hey bhgwan agarwal khandaan ki izzat miti mei mila di isney"
Sameer knew it was useless to justify anything in front of these two evil souls... He moved towards chacha chachi who were too shocked to say anything or defend Naina in this matter... Chachaji thumped on the nearby bench with both hands on his forehead as he was not able to come in terms with the fact that his small little Naina whom he trusted blindly hid such a big truth did he really failed as a father ?
Sameer knelt down in front of him and took both his hands in his own hand and poured out his heart "Chachaji humne kuch bhi galat nai kiya hai bharosa kijiye humpar... Mai kabhi nai chahta tha ki yeh sbkuch aapko is tarah pta chaley par aaj Naina ko is halat mei dekhkar mujhse raha nai gya... Dunya chahe jo kuch bhi bole par mai janta hu aap Naina par bharosa krtey hai aur apko jaankar shyd hairaani hogi par sirf aapke liye Naina ne mujhe aur mere pyar ko chodne ka ektarafa faisla le liya maine kitni koshish ki usko mnane ki par uske liye uske chachaji ka bharosa hi sbse upar tha shyd mere pyar se bhi upar."
Sameer stopped for awhile to look into chachaji's eyes but he was met by his blank gaze , he continued "chachaji meri taraf dekhiye ek baar aur dekhar btaiye kya meri nazrein jhuki hui h... Nai... bilkul nai... kyunki naina aur maine kuch galat nai kiya ... humara pyar bilkul pavitra hai Naina ne kabhi bhi aapke aur chachiji k sanskaro ka apmaan nai kiya balki usney aapdono ko chuna mere upar ...mere nanu ko naina ki yehi baat pasand thi isliye unhone mujhe aur Naina ko aashirwad bhi diya tha hamesha sath rehne ka ... Mai naina se bhut naraz hua ki usney mujhe chod diya par aaj uske liye aapka pyar dekhkr mai bhi ab uska is faisle mei sath dunga"
Sameer stood up and softly wiped small drops of tears flowing from chachaji's eyes and faintly smiled... "Aur waise bhi Naina ko kahi Sameer mil sktey hai par aise chachaji toh bs ek hi hai jo usey bina kisi swaart k itna pyaar kare... Maine waada kiya tha Naina ko chahe zindagi mei jo bhi ho sukh dukh ...acha bura samay...usmey uska sath nibhaunga toh aaj kaise mai uska sath chod du uska faisla ab mera bhi hai" saying so he turned towards Munna pandit who were standing behind him... His both friends consoled him in a tight group hug "Chinta mat kar hum ab bhi tere sath hai aur Naina bhi thik ho jayegi Tu aur chachaji usey itna pyar krtey ho kaha jayegi woh "said Munna bit emotionally... Sameer too nodded his head in agreement ...
Sameer again turned towards chachaji who was trying to take in Sameer's words and deeply thinking about the situation... Sameer again knelt down and took his hand and pleaded "chachaji pls ek baar mujhe Naina se milne dijiye bas ...ek aakhiri baar mai wada krta hu uske hosh mei aane se pehle chala jaunga usko pta bhi nai chalega aur phir dobara nai milunga usey kabhi bhi nai... Yahn tak college mei bhi nai ...chod dunga college Delhi chala jaunga hamesha k liye bs ek baar bharosa kar lijiye mujhpr "
Rakesh who was till now patiently hearing the conversation suddenly lost his cool on hearing Sameer's demand to meet her . He jerked him by his collars and made him stand straight and yelled at his usual pitch without caring that they were standing in hospital corridors in front of ICU "Bda besharam hai itna sb kuch ho gya aur ab bhi tujhmei himmat hai ki tu meri beti se milega "
Before Sameer could say anything chachaji stood up and spoke out loud for the first time "Bas kijiye bhaisahab"
At the same time doors of ICU too opened and doctor came out to update everyone about Naina's condition " Dekhiye yeh hospital hai aur aap logon ko patient ka khayal nai hai yeh ladai jhgda pls bahar jaake kariye yahn aur bhi patients hai jinhe disturb hota hai... Naina ab danger se bahar hai ... Sleeping pills overdose ka case tha... dhyan rakhna chahiye aap logon ko bache aajkl zara si tension par ghalat kadam utha lete hai waise police case bnta hai par Naina k tauji se ache sambhandh hai toh jaane deta hu... Humne pills remove kar di hai stomach pump ki help se but abhi asar rahega raat tak hosh aajyega thankfully bhut high dose nai tha...baaki hum log monitor krtey rahenge regularly... Hum patient ko ward mei shift kar rahe hai aap log ek ek krke mil sktey hai thodi mei " saying so doctor moved away.
Sameer looked at chachaji with all his hope and awkward silence took over ...
