Ishita was sitting on a bench next to the apartments compound where they shifted recently and talking to her little friend ruhi. She met ruhi, when she saved the little girl from an accident, and when she reached home she saw ruhi going to her neighbors door. They used to meet outside the apartment whenever she came from work, so she
started spending time with her. Little ruhi is adorable and it's easy for anyone to love the girl and she is no exception. She came to know from ruhi that she moved from mumbai recently where she used to stay with her papa and maid. And her papa went to mumbai leaving her with her dadu and dadi.
I : acha, you are angry at your papa
Ruhi nodded her head
I: why?
R: I want to be with papa, i don't like to live here without papa
I: did you tell your papa that, you don't like it here
R: with an angry pout , no ... i won't talk to him... i'm really angry at him
I:with a smile.. If you don't tell papa.. How will he know that, you don't like it here and you want to be with him
Ruhi thinking about what ishita said, asked if i talk to papa and tell him i want to stay with him, will he come
I: he will know what you want haina.. Do you want to talk to papa
R: yes
I: go and ask dadi to call papa and then talk to him ok
Ruhi nodded and said aunty will you stay here, i will come back and ran to her apartment.
Ishita smiled at her excitement about talking to her dad. She thought, how can he leave this precious girl alone. She knows that he is a divorcee and ruhi's mother is not with them,but he should be taking care of his daughter. Her thoughts are interrupted by ruhi calling her name, she looked at her as she held a phone in her hand
I: what's this ruhi, whose phone is this
R: dadi ka phone, want to talk to papa, can you call papa
I: you want me to call your dad.. What's your papa's name ..
R: puttar, dadi aise hi bulati papa ko
Ishita controlled her laugh at her explanation, and searched in the contacts for puttar
She found it and dialed the number and gave it to ruhi
R: hello papa
Raman: hello my princess, kaise ho, are you still angry at papa
R: haan papa, i'm still angry, when are you coming
Raman: soon beta, papa will be with you always after that
R: sachi papa.. Smiling
Raman: sachi.. So tell me what did you do all these days
R: i have a puppy papa, his name is muthuswamy
Raman : what ?? where did you get that puppy? Why is his name tamilian ?
R: ishita aunty saved me and then she also saved puppy, and she is taking care of him for me, and she kept his name
Raman: what do you mean she saved you? Ruhi what did you do
R: papa who main, i saw a puppy on the road and went to save him . then ishita aunty came and saved me and muthu.
Raman: ruhi dadi ko phone do,
Ruhi gave the phone to ishita, ishita took the phone and before she said hello , he started yelling at her (thinking it's his mother)
Raman: how can you do this maa? Can't you take care of a 5 year old for few days? What could have happened to her if some lady didn't save her. How can that maid be so careless with ruhi? I can't believe this happened. I am coming soon, please take care of her until then. Bye
And he cut the call without even hearing what she had to say, but she didn't feel bad, she is feeling happy that he cares so much for ruhi and he sounded truly scared about what might have happened to ruhi.
Ishita doesn't know why she is smiling, but she felt happy to know he truly loves this little angel.ishita hugs ruhi and said your papa will be coming home soon
Ruhi sachi, and started jumping in excitement.
Ishita: now let's go home and give the phone to dadi ok. With that they left for their homes.
After few days she met ruhi downstairs and she is wearing a cute red lehenga.
I: hi ruhi, what are you doing? and you look so pretty... what's so special today
Ruhi hugs ishita and said smiling. Papa is coming today, so i'm waiting here to welcome him..Papa said he is bringing lots of gifts for me and he said he will take me to park , movie and ice cream also.
I: wow.. So ruhi is very happy... and kissed her and said i will wait here with you and you can tell me all the exciting things you are going to do
Ruhi told her that her dadi is doing jagrata for her and papa. And after that they will go for ice cream and told her all the things she wants to do with her papa. Ishita was amazed how much ruhi adores her papa and hoped he doesn't disappoint her.
When the jagrata started ruhi asked her to come with her and she went to make sure she reached safely to her grandparents. After few minutes ruhi came back and asked her to bend down, when did she tied the mata rani headband around her head and said mata rani hamesha kush rakhe... ishita hugged her with tears in her eyes and said thank you beta... aur aapko bhi hamesha kush rakhe..
That's when they heard a car horn and moved aside to allow the car.. When the car stopped and a guy stepped out of the car wearing blue jeans and white jacket and he started walking towards where jagrata was being held, when ruhi dragged ishita behind him and started calling papa, he couldn't hear her because of all the music playing loudly. Ruhi left ishita's hand and ran behind her dad.. Ishita also followed ruhi, she thought i just want to make sure she reached safely.
She saw ruhi tugging on his hand while he was talking to someone and his back is to her so she couldn't see him, he immediately bent down and picked up ruhi and tossed her in the air and kissed her and hugged her and then he put her down and was checking her to make sure she is fine.. And ruhi was replying animatedly with a huge smile and he held her close and continued talking to the person he was with before ruhi interrupted.
Ishita felt really happy to see their reunion and also a little pang in her heart as she might not be able to meet with ruhi frequently and thought she is going to miss her and left the place.
Raman was so happy to see his precious daughter after so many days and the scare she gave him when she said she might have got hurt if someone didn't save her immediately.. That's when he started to expedite his move to delhi and asked his friend and assistant mihir to move back to delhi with him and made the plans to leave asap. He missed her so much, her talks , her cute antics and the way spent their weekends just the two of them. It's been like that from when she was 3 months old, when his wife left him. He has been acting the role of mother and father for her and they are very close. It was hard for him to leave her here for few days when he made the decision to move back to delhi and needed to wrap up things in mumbai. Now he is here, he will take care of her properly.
Ra: so did you miss papa. You didn't talk to me everyday , i'm angry at you
Ru: oho papa.. I missed you too.. Itna saara and opened her arms wide ..and gave a light kiss on his cheek.. Ab gussa khatam
Ra: nautanki.. No .. tell me why didn't you call all these days
Ru: I was angry at you, you left me here and went to mumbai without me.. Then ishita aunty told me to talk to you and ask you to come home.. So i called you and told you what i wanted and you came..
Ra: who is this ishita aunty
Ru: she is the one who saved me and muthu, chalo papa i will show you muthu, he is so cute papa
Ra: ok let me go and meet dada and dadi ok
Raman went to his parents they welcomed him happily and toshiji cried hugging him and said you finally came home puttar
Ra: ha maa , me and ruhi will be with you forever
He went and hugged his papaji and took his blessings
He then greeted his brother and sister. Everyone is happy to see him back. He stayed for the jagrata for few minutes when it's getting late for ruhi, he asked her did you had your dinner?
Ruhi: no papa I wanted you to feed me like always, so I was waiting for you
Raman: What is this ru. Chalo let's go home, you must be hungry
He told Toshiji, that he is taking ruhi home as she is hungry and left the place.
He went inside the apartment and went to kitchen to see his mom has prepared all his favorite dishes and asked ruhi what do you want to eat beta

Ok.. and he made her sit at the table and went to heat the food, when he turned to see at ruhi, she is not there , he starts calling her name when she came from the opposite door holding a puppy.
Papa see, this is muthu
He bent down at her level and with firm a voice he said, ruhi don't go like that, i was scared, if you want to go somewhere please let me know or dadi, we will be worried beta if we don't see you..
Ruhi bent her head low and said in a small voice, ok papa ..i just wanted to show you muthu
He caressed her hair and said, i know princess, but i was worried when i didn't see you at the table ..ok now go wash your hands and let muthu play , so you can have your dinner ok
Ishita witnessed the father and daughter conversation, she is happy for ruhi and she felt admiration for her dad. She never seen anyone showing so much patience in explaining, to a kid in a way that is not hurtful to the kid. She cast one last glance at them and went inside.
Raman fed ruhi and made her change into night clothes and after playing with muthu for sometime, he made her sleep in his bedroom and also he made a small bed out of sheets for muthu as he doesn't know where he stays. He went outside to make some calls and make sure everything is set for his conference call tomorrow..
He called mihir and was talking to him about the work, when mihir said one of the employee didn't come to work as his daughter is sick , which kind of delayed some work.
Ra: forward me his contact info and assign the work to someone under him or someone capable of finishing it soon
M: ok bhai , i will let you know once i assign it to someone ok
Ra: ok mihir, i will talk to you later, by the way did you have dinner
M: yes bhai
Ra: ok then, after assigning someone you can take rest ok and will see you tomorrow at home, come for breakfast ok
M: sure bhai
Raman called the employee (vikas) , he then introduces himself and asked him about his daughter
V: i'm sorry sir, i couldn't complete the work, my daughter has been sick for few days, but today she wouldn't let me go to office
Ra: that's ok, what happened to her,did you take her to the hospital
Vikas is surprised his ceo called personally and asking about his daughter and said, yes sir they gave her medications and we are taking care of her
Ra: ok let me know or mihir if you need any help and don't worry about work, take care of your daughter. Let us know when she improves. Take care vikas
V: ok sir, thank you for everything and will keep you informed sir. Have a good night
Raman was about to go inside the building when power went out and he heard a shout ayyo amma'' he went to check where the voice is coming from,he saw someone was lying on the steps, as if they fell from the steps and trying to get up, he went and said please let me help you..
She said thank you and held his hand firmly and got up .
He helped her walk down the stairs and said, do you need a Dr, is your leg Fine?
She said , just a sprain. I'm actually going to a hospital , so I will check it there.
Raman said ok, can you walk to your car or I can drop you to your hospital.
Ishita no thank you, I can walk. Thank you once again.
Ra: ok problem , you take care and he started going into his building, but he turned to see her walking with limp and smiled to himself pagal ladki .. couldn't take help even when she needs it..
Next day morning when he woke up, his daughter was sleeping next to him or accurately on him.. he smiled at her and gently moved her and placed her on the bed without disturbing her sleep. and went to freshen up after placing pillows around her.
After freshening up he went into the hall and saw no one is awake yet, so he made tea for himself and went to pick up the newspaper. He was talking to himself about all the page 3 news and nothing about business, he thought he will ask their neighbor as he saw they had one, and went to open the doors and saw a girl picking the newspapers and said "excuse me, can i have the business express
She extended her hand without looking at him
He said "thank you, will return it in an hour i hope it's not a problem
She said , no problem, appa is the only one who reads it , he will wake up little late so it's fine
He said "thanks and before leaving he looked at her and said teasingly " i didn't realize there are girls in delhi, that are so shy that they don't see the person they are talking too,it's good and smiling he went inside.
Ishita immediately turned to give him a curt reply, but found he already left. She started scolding him in her mind, so what if they are shy, what is his problem, rogue, idiot
Amma asked, what happened kanna
I:nothing amma, she knows better than to say anything about the neighbors, then she realized is that ruhi's papa.. She went to get ready and do pooja
After sometime she heard amma talking to someone and when she came inside asked, who are you talking to amma
Amma: ruhi's papa kanna, he said he borrowed the paper from you and said thank you
Ishita: so he is ruhi's papa
Amma: yes, very good boy ,not like his mother, very soft spoken
Ishita thought about the way he was teasing her and thought probably but there is more to him..
And asked amma, do you need anything from the market i want to get some things
Amma: yes, kanna and gave her a list of items
Ishita was going to her car when she saw ruhi running to her and calling ishita aunty
She hugged her and twirled her for a minute, good morning ruhi, it's saturday and you are up early..
R: haan aunty.. Papa and me went to walking and just coming home
I: wow ruhi, walking... that's so good for health, you must be hungry after the exercise right?
R: yes, dadi is making aloo paratha, papa's favorite
I: acha.. So what are the plans for today.. Doing anything fun
Ruhi was thinking as she was just happy that her dad is with her, now she is thinking of all the things she want to ask
By then raman came to her and scolded ruhi softly , ruhi i told you not to run from me .. it's not safe beta.
R; sorry papa, i just wanted to say hi to ishita aunty
That's when raman noticed her and ishita also saw him for the first time
I: aap? Ruhi ke papa?
