Raman was shocked at the audacity of that salesman and his anger reached new heights as he had heard what the conversation was abt. He said-" ho kya raha hai yahan par? U mr what do u think of urself? Kya kaha tune isne chori ki hai? Jaanta hai yeh kaun hai? She is dr ishita raman bhalla aur isne chori ki hai? Hum chor dikhte hain tum logon ko? Yeh 400 rupye ki cheez chori karenge hum? Dimaag sahi jagah hai tera? Kyunki agar nahi hai tom Mujhe lane mein zyaada time nahi lagega, samjha tu."

That salesman was scared to his wits now and ishita tried to pacify raman saying-" raman let it go , must have been a misunderstanding."

Raman -" no not at all galat fehmi? Ishita tum isko bacha rahi ho? Kyun ? isko toh main batata hun ab." Hearing the commotion manager came out and told the salesman to explain the situation and after hearing it as he said-" ok fine , toh itna shor kis liye? Mr bhalla aap..."

He cud never complete as raman whacked him saying-" shor kis liye? Really mr manager? Aapka yeh do kodi ka employ meri biwi par chori ka ilzaam laga raha hai and u are asking me why I am creating a scene here?"

Manager-" mr bhalla who aise hi toh nahi kahega na , he has proof that's why.."

Raman was abt to hit him but ishita stopped him as he barked-" proof ki aisi ki taisi tumhe hum chor lagte hain, raman bhalla ki biwi chor lagti hai.. main chahoon na toh tumhara poora shop ek minute mein khareed sakta hun samjhe..meri biwi ki insult ki ab tumhe batata hun main..."

Manager was now sweating too but raman continued and said-" cctv toh hain na aapke shop mein , ok fine iss section ke footage lao and check what my wife did .. aur ek baat yaad rakhna agar kuch nahi nikla toh tum toh beta gaye.."

Manager tried to solve the matter and ishita too told raman to let it go but raman was adamant now. Soon the footage was brought in and it was clearly visible that while ishita was looking at the opposite shelf ,her bag had tangled in that small kit's price tag and it slipped into her bag unnoticed by anyone.

As the footage ended the entire staff was in terror as they knew they were gone today. Raman in his no nonsense businesslike tone said-" toh ab bolo..hmm tum kya bologe ab toh main olunga bhi aur karunga bhi tumhara yeh store ki band bajaoonga ab main tum dekhte jao.."

They tried to say sorry but raman refused to hear anything. It was when ishita calmed him down saying-" raman plzz they realized their mistake now let it go plzz. For me jaane do no point in doing all this plzzz."

Raman listened to her reluctantly and said the staff-" I am letting u go only becoz of my wife , pehle toh inhe tameez se sorry bolo aur doosri cheez yeh yaad rakhna ki dobara agar kabhi aisa kuch karne ke bare mein socha bhi na toh tumhare iss store ko band hone se koi nahi rok payega, bhagwaan bhi nahi yeh wada hai raman bhalla ka samjhe..waise shayad tum bach jao kyunki main ya meri family se koi bhi yahan nahi aayega ab kabhi so just go to hell wid ur store."

And saying that he turned around as staff apologized to ishita and she gave them and understanding look and they left the store. Ishita's respect and admiration for raman increased manifold as it was the first time he had stood up for her self respect in front of the entire world, while earlier in param's case it was just their families.

When she saw raman still sulking she said-" raman jaane bhi do na , waise bhi aapne unki haalat kharab kar di ."

Raman was frustrated and sad-" ishita tumhe mazaak soojh raha hai , how cud u ask me to let them go yaar unhone chori ka allegation lagaya tha tumhare upar aur tum inti cool kaise?"

Ishita-" aap the na gussa karne ke liye."

Raman-" who toh main karoonga hi tum biwi ho meri.. ur self respect is mine too." And they both got lost in each other's eyes until ishita snapped out and then smiling said-" u remember pehle ek baar jab aisa hua that oh what u did.. Mujhe paagal bol diya tha aapne aur aaj dekhiye.."

Raman chuckled remembering that incident and then said-" tab ki baat alag thi ishita .. par bachaya toh tumhe uss din bhi tha na maine..."

Ishita accepted-" haan bachaya toh tha.. chalein shopping karne.."

Raman's mood had been spoiled so he said-" tumhe jana hai ab bhi...?"

Ishita knew she had 2 do this for him and she said-" haan bikul pehle aapko jana tha ab Mujhe jana hai.."

Raman-" ok fine lets go."

Next hour was spent in both of them helping in each other's shopping as first ishita modeled infront of raman in different outfits for his opinion and then raman did the same as he struck some srk poses too while modeling.

The instances when raman protectively stood guarding ishita from an unknown boy's eyes who was ogling at her or when ishita fumed seeing some girls going gaga over raman were not unnoticed by either of them and soon they left the mall.

Outside when ishita saw a line of chaat stalls and asked raman abt it , he said-" yaa these are quite famous , their chaat is one of the best in delhi.."

Ishita just said-" then what are u waiting for raavan kumar lets go and gobble it all down." And she ran like a kid to chaat stalls. They both did not look their age in those casual tees and capris and anyone cud mistake them a for a young dating couple wid that happiness on their faces.

They both roamed there for abt 20 minutes having all sorts of chaats and ishita having laugh over raman nt being able to eat a spicy pakoda and her laughter and happiness was so infectious that it brought a warm smile on raman's face as his thoughts sang

Kaise batayen tumhe aur kiss tarah yeh

Saaya bhi tera dikhe toh paas jaake

As ishita turned around to look at smiling raman , her eyes said-

Raasta tum hi ho, rehmuna tum hi ho

Jiski khwahish hain humko

Who panaah tum hi ho

Tum hi ho beshuba tum hi ho

Tum hi ho mujh mein haan tum hi ho.

As they sat in their car to go home , ishita said-" raman are we going home?"

Raman bemusedly asked-" kyun? Nahin jana?"

Ishita wid a childlike expression said-"nahi.."

Raman-" toh phir kahan jaana hai?"

Ishita thought for a while and then making a baby face said-" raman india gate chalein its been sooo long since I went there and I dnt even have proper remembrance of last visit ,plzzz."

Raman found it a good idea and said-" theek hai chalte hain , its nt too faraway."

Ishita-" yayy finally I will be going to india gate."

Raman just grinned and said-"ruhi part 2 bann gayi hai Jhansi ki rani."

Ishita asked-" kya bole raavan kumar?" to which he just replied-" kuch nahi bola main paagal madrasan." And they drove off and reached india gate soon.

By the time they reached india gate it was around 6 in the evening which was a peak time for the place so it was crowded but not that much as it was a working day. It was a lively atmosphere with cheerfulness all around and weather was pleasant too wid soft breeze blowing in. as they reached there raman asked ishita-" toh ab madam? India gate aa gaye ab kya karna hai yahan? Tumhe who colorful ball lakar dun khelne ke liye ya who guitar jiss se who bachcha khel raha hai...?"

Ishita understood he was making fun of her and she pouted angrily and said-" haan haan kyun nahi who guitar ya ball jo bhi le aaiye uske saath khelna toh aapko hi padega na mere saath.." and they both laughed out at the situation. Ishita then said-" ice cream khate hain? What say?"

Raman-" ok chalo."

They went to an ice cream seller and raman asked for 2 blackcurrent ice creams to which ishita asked him-" raman aap bhi? Aapko toh yeh flavor pasand nahi tha na?"

Raman made a goofy face and said-" actually pasand isliye nahi tha coz before I had never tasted it.. jab tumne khilaya tha usdin toh achche laga tha par..."

Ishita-" par bolte kaise? Raavan kumar ki naak jo kat jaati nahi? Big fat male ego huhhh."

Raman chuckled at her expressions and accepted-" u are right ... par ab keh toh raha hun na achche hai aur dekho kha bhi raha hun , khush?"

Ishita-" hmm maaf kiya ..." raman-" toh ab?"

Ishita-" chaliye yahin garden mein walk karte hain, nange pair chappal utaar ke , bohot achche lagta hai when grass touches ur feet , believe me lets do it.."

Raman was marveled at this woman's capability to love and feel the small joys of life and agreed as he knew it wud be nice. They walked by bare feet and gentle wind did its magic too as it touched their faces. Suddenly when some kids came running beside them and pushed ishita and she was abt to fell down, raman held her immediately from the waist and they were lost in each other's eyes as well as arms not bothering abt world around.

Kaise batayen tumhe shab mein tumhare

khwaab haseen jo aate hain

kaise batayein tumhe lafz who saare

jism ko jo mehkaate hain

After moments they came out of their reverie and as they were walking ahead they saw a lovely young unmarried couple having the time of their life.

It brought back many memories to both ishita and raman and while raman was able to compose himself sooner, few drops of tears trickled down from ishita's eyes which were noticed by raman. He knew that no matter what he did , this day wud be really hard for her to let go off and he gently placed his hand on her shoulder and said-" ishita I know what u are thinking , par main bas itna kahunga ki jaane do , nikaal do sari bhadaas once and for all."

Ishita looked into his eyes and was greatful they had a sincere emotion. She replied-" bhadaas kiss baat ki raman? Bas ek sawaal hai ki kya who hamara itna pyaar, itna concern deserve karte the? Ya hum hi bewakoof the?"

Raman knew she was talking abt both their exes and he replied-" I feel who karte the par itna zyaada nahi jitna hamne unhe diya aur galti hamari bhi thi kyunki bewakoof ka nahi pata par hum pyaar mein paagal zaroor the.. so let bygones be bygones now and smile." Ishita s heart sang

Iftedaar tumhi ho imtehaan tum hi ho

Iss zameen se falak ke darmiyaan tumhi ho

Tumhi ho beshuba tum hi ho

Tumhi ho mujhmein haan tum hi ho

Ishita knew he was right and the biggest unanswered question of her life was answered and she felt as if someone brought him down to earth wid a thud. She smiled weakly and said-"thanks."

Raman-"chalein ishita?"

Ishita-" jee lets go."

They were driving silently in the car and stealing glances at each other and on the way when ishita saw the board of gurudwara she suddenly asked raman-" raman bangla sahib yahan se zyaada door hai kya?"

Raman was surprised and asked-" gurudwara?"

Ishita-" haan dnt know why just feel like going there today."

Raman-" if that's they way u feel toh chalte hain."

they went to the gurudwara as raman knew it was the perfect place for them to visit at this point of time , especially for ishita. They reached the gurudwara at around 7.30 and as darkness enveloped the place , it looked even more beautiful.

There was calmness and serenity all around and as they stood in line and then bowed down their heads in front of wahe guru ji , they felt all their worries being taken away and a smile crept up on their faces, a peaceful one at that.

Kitne dafe dil ne kaha, dil ki suni kitne dafe

Waise to teri naa mein bhi maine dhoondh li apni khushi

Tu jo agar haan kahe toh baat hogi kuch aur hi

Dil hi rakhne ko kabhi upar upar se sahi

Keh de na...keh de na haan yun hi

Outside they took Prasad and sat down dipping their feet in the cold water of gurudwara's pond. They had Prasad silently and then ishita said-" I feel so light and happy raman ,it feels so good."

Raman smiled feeling happy for her and said-" I know that's the beauty of this place u know."

Ishita looked at raman and asked-" aap pehle bhi aate the?"

Raman-" haan I used to love coming here wid little aadi and then wid both kids too but my so called exwife hardly accompanied me. After she left me I used to come here quite often for much needed inner peace till the time I left the country for business. It always helps. Tum kabhi nahi aayi yahan?"

Ishita who was looking at him spell bindingly just nodded her head for a no and said-" nopes wanted to but never cud." After that they just sat their silently for a while and then drove back home amidst peaceful silence.
