"Sometimes you have to choose between a bunch of wrong choices
and no right ones.
You just have to choose which wrong choices feels the least wrong."
Colleen Hoover

~Edit

That sentence just broke my heart. This is the same Adi who had repeatedly rejected anything related to his Papa and always took his mother's side...today stood there seeking permission from his Papa whether to leave with his Momma. Shagun tried to use her trump card Adi, Raman's weakness, again as a last ditch effort to keep herself in Bhalla house. But Raman for once stood his ground, and made the best choice available under the circumstance to not give in to Shagun's manipulations. This time the son probably understood his Dad's predicament...his looking back at Raman and Raman turning back to look at him...his eyes didnt have any contempt for Raman...it reflected the emotions his father was going through...A father's predicament...a son who has a clearer understanding of relationships now...both wanting to be together...but one under legal inhibition and the other caught between his parents...probably for the first time feeling the loss without his Papa. It just grabbed my heart...as this Adi is a conflicted 12 year old who is paying for the mistakes of his parents. Gautam stole my heart with his poignant expressions...his eyes reflected the pain and heartbreak of Adi. It was palpable. Karan always excels in such emotional scenes. Today was no exception.

A scene where not much words were exchanged yet spoke volumes.

Only complaint wish the scene was held a bit longer and didn't have that particular bg score...it was too loud for an otherwise subtle scene.

Credit: Aru(Arunabhi)

Coming now to the opposite side of subtlety...Loud, crass, vulgar melodrama personified: Shagun Arora. The woman who always flaunted her 'refined' taste...today put on a rabid display of the person that lies underneath all those expensive accessories...a woman who has absolutely no respect for herself or anyone else and one who loves a "tamasha". Just got revolted by the thought that such woman maybe do exist. And sometimes a slap is not enough for them.

I'm glad RKB finally found his voice back in support of his wife. A tad bit too late though...Shagun spat venom against everyone in his family, especially bad mouthed his wife, his Ruhi's Ishima and their nuptial relationship...he needed to shut her up before Ishita did. PERIOD.

And Toshijee and her GKC drama...🤢 I have no patience for it.

Raman finally laying a claim on Adi, by filing for custody...about time.

And more GKC drama headed our way. Good thing:Adi and Romi GKC parallel tracks... while in the former Ishra will be together, seems like the latter will find them on opposite sides.

Notes:
  • So the minute Shagun left, the episode picked up speed and we know from the OLV lot of wedding footage was edited out to accommodate the CVs favorite: Shagun-nigans

  • Loved the mature scene of camaraderie between the new couple in town...good to see he was sitting on the same bed...probably he missed the satvik relationship memo, get a couch!😉

If the initial parts of the episode made me cry, your collage just doubled my emotions. Please bear my senseless rant 😕

Heart rending, sadistic pleasure and Blushy - This was the episode to me.

Too moved for words😭😭. A Father who did not want to see his son move away from him yet another time and a Son who wanted to see his father for one last time before he moves away from the person who showered love which he never experienced but just heard off for how many ever days he stayed with him. Not the kind of relation which spent days together having fun but two people who yearned for each others love staying apart from each other. The flashback made me cry and I just longed for one thing. Editors you could have really played this. They deserve it.

Shaam jab dhalti hain subah muskurati hain
Khushbuye lutati hain sun
Udaasi ke lamho mein hamein muskurana hain
Tere dil ka mere dil se rishta purana hain

Bromance at its best. Relation between Raman and Mihir , Raman and Romi just too good for words. When Raman tried explaining Mihir about his sudden responsibilities and the way he sushed him was just 😳😳. Yes younger to him by age but close to him in heart. He will give the best life for Rinky and Raman is a happy man to find a Groom like Mihir for Rinky. The 4 siblings have a broken life and it's the two who have found a meaningful life. That of Raman Ishitha and Rinky Mihir. Toshi kept worrying about the society who waits no chance to ridicule a person but it just took a tender emotional hug and a loving kiss on the forehead to make his brother feel loved. Great acting by Aly, Kp and RSA. Again short of words. How much did they make me cry today. Sorry for sounding like an idiot. But these 4 guys touched my heart

Then came the part filled with screeching and shouting. I almost had to mute the entire portion but kya karein to hear the dialogues had to make it at least audible. Yes she used words like your husband has not touched you, bhaanj, naamard, kameeni. Trust me I do not know any such words in hindi cos it's not my mother tongue. But this episode just educated me. Bimbo can you please get over Materialistic pleasure, Sexual pleasure and sugary love for heaven sake. There is a world beyond that. Start working towards you might hate the person you are. She deserved another slap for all this rubbish. I mean she claims to be part of the elite woman society and shout like a barbaric idiot in public. Gosh !! You seriously need character development classes. There are so many out these days. please enroll yourself and I am pretty sure your Ex will be happy to play for you. Personally, I found AH too tacky 🤢

Tiny lead couple scene again interrupted. This never ending GKC rant is ruining IshRa big time and we as viewers are definitely tortured. So So happy they had that bang and he held for a couple of more seconds which made me blush. That bang was short and ahem moment. I agree I am a hopeless Puttar Biwi fan ☺️☺️. They fight I blush, they cry i feel all overwhelmed and if they romance I melt. Gosh these two ❤️☺️

Just too overwhelmed today for words. Hope I made sense in this brilliant thread.

P.S: G congrats again for another retweet by RSA 🤗. You have started to move the YHM cast with your lovely edits. You're a rock star 👏👏👏

All aboard the YHM express...

Today's episode had a few gems that I can't wait to read everyone's POV on!

But - KP's predicted that we viewers would get to see what we want around episode 500, and I can almost believe that now...so new countdown:
#119 episodes until peaceful romance 😆
---
The episode had it's good and bad, but I'm going to try to be positive b/c I ranted enough over the last 2 days! 😆

Raman-Adi: Like everyone has mentioned, that scene spoke volumes without actually saying anything. I usually don't tear up easily, but when Adi opened his mouth to ask, "toh main jaaoon?"...the tears came. They were bittersweet tears.

Raman finally was publicly given respect and acceptance by his son. Remember, it was at the wedding that kicked off all this hungama, that Adi refused to go on stage with Raman. Now how far the boy has come towards his father. Yes, there is still damage in their relationship, but now something new exists for Raman and Adi - hope.

Adi underwent a lot through this haphazardly built track. First his world took a 360 and the man he trusted ditched him and his mother in the cruelest of ways. Then he had to shoulder all the responsibility of his mother from the moment she ended up in a garbage dump. Despite being forced to grow up that instance, the inner child in him emerged the night Ishita found him outside. Following that he acted out and did vile things, including harming himself. Why? To project his mother. He could see the difference between Ishita and Shagun, but at that stage he was still shaken. He could see just how damaged his mother was thanks to Ashok's rejection, and like all the Bhalla men, the protector and defender in him emerged. Eventually, as his life stabilized - so did his behavior. He found a family that loved him. He found silent support in an uncle, who also was going through crap. He found a protective figure in Ishita Aunty, and he was slowly starting to see a dad in Raman. Now in one instance, for reasons unknown to him, he sees it all crumbling. The instability of life his back, but he turns to someone who did not abandon him during the accident track or when his mom ended up in a dumpster - his father. He turned to his father, not for his mother's sake, but this time as a child so desperately clinging to stability.

#ALL THE FEELS
#My dil can't take it

Mihir-Rinky/Raman-Ishita: I loved the official start of Mihir & Rinky's rishta (not at all how it was formed though), and it is evident that Rinky is going to fall hard for Mihir & for good reason. Mihir is the absolute perfect mix of Ishita and Raman - he has Raman's fierce loyalty and Ishita's nurturing nature. The scene between the four of them at Mihir's was sweet, and part of me wishes that they had elaborated on the sequence more. Raman and Ishita do have their differences and arguments, but at the end of the day, they have a strong relationship that can be a good model for Mihir and Rinky.

Ishita coming into full form as a wife: Prior to this track, Ishita always stood up against Shagun for Ruhi (and then Raman). During the accident track (before the part) and the girl child scandal - Ishita the mother and protector emerged first, but today, we saw Ishita laying full claim to her husband and family. I just wanted to give her a standing ovation. For a family man like Raman, I felt this spoke volumes because we had an entire tracked dedicated to how guilty he felt for all the wrongs his life and family had imposed on her, but now Ishita publicly and verbally laid claim on him, his family, and all the problems that came with that. What more acceptance could Raman ask for?

Today all of Shagun's cheap mentality came out in the open. Everyone knew she was shallow and selfish, but could anyone have guessed the extent of how cheap and regressive she is? Now that she has truly hit rock bottom and her last potential support system is gone, she has nothing more to lose so the fangs are out and here to stay (until a rich man comes to pay for her saris & spa days that is 😆).

---
I'm going refrain from commenting about the upcoming drama, which again appears to be Raman makes a judgement error and needs to find redemption, because I just want to be happy with this episode. This episode marked the end of the 2.5-3 month long "Adi the villain - irrelevant fights - Sautan Saga - Mahila Morcha - OTT wedding nautanki" that we have been subjected to, and for that I will celebrate.

Yes it looks like we have tons more drama in a desert of romance-less Puttar & Biwi and no break between tracks like before, but what I've learned from YHM is that the worrying about the future trajectory is not worth raising your BP. #Life Lessons

#Slap #2
#Transcontinental celebration!

@Gan - Congrats on the retweet from RSA! While I have no idea what these actors think, I would hope that he appreciates the recognition and appreciation that your edit/tweet gave him especially with his apparent disinterest in the track! ⭐️
Also - I just LOVE LOVE LOVE your collage on the Adi-Raman sequence! ❤️

Beautiful Collage Gan1 There is very little left to say what has not already been said about the episode. A few points:
- Loved the first couple of minutes. It was heart-wrenching to see Puttar that way even though it was required to show Shagun that she can't use Adi to get her way with Raman anymore.

- Shagun was pathetic, disgusting and not fit to be called a woman or a mother or even a human being today. And I am repeating what people already have coz I just need to vent- STOP with the repeated use of the word Baanjh for Ishita. It leaves a very bad taste in the mouth; increased by the fact that no one, absolutely no one stood up for Ishita. She had to stand up for herself again. RKB found his voice too late. I am sorely disappointed with the way they have destroyed my RKB's character. That said, I absolutely loved the slap- it was long due; especially from Ishita!

- Toshiji's GKC rant- I have spoken about it too much- so will choose to ignore it coz this topic makes my blood boil.

- The Precap- another disappointment- As a woman, I feel very disgusted with the Bhallas (including Raman's) line of thinking. Regressive at it's best- treatment of a woman as a commodity is all that is being shown. Nature vs Nurture, the very basis of this show, has long gone down the drain- today Raman out of all people- completed that transformation.

- I read in some post someone asking whether this means that would Raman really accept ishita if he did not have his own kids after looking at the precap? I would like to believe that had he fallen in love with Ishita before he would never have left her side. Sadly, the way the CV's have made his character mute in the face of his wife's humiliation, in their love for Shagun, I find myself doubting it.

- Anyways- It is but a fiction in the end- A story written by another- I will settle with watching what touches me and fast forward the rest.

For now- #Two Tamache down #One to Go #Bring it On #Keeping Tiny Hopes Alive

"And in life, it is all about choices we make. And how the direction of our lives comes down to the choices we choose." ~Catherine Pulsifer, Honesty. . . A Core Value

"Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance". ~Khalil Gibran

Gan what a beautiful collage. You capture Adi's and Raman emotions so beautifully. The scene made me emotional. It was actually my favourite part today. It overshadowed the slap today too.

We have seen Raman crave for his son. This man loved his son so much that sometimes he turns so blind and doesn't see others around. Then we have a kid who I wouldn't say is totally bad but is lack directions and postive influence in his life. As you know I have this love- hate relationship with Adi. But today my heart went out to that little boy. He like every other kid in the world deserves love and security. Adi has changed and you have seen in the past few episodes. This boy has been dragged to the mud, used as a pawn, moved around, and has never lived in a family atmosphere. Adi is psychological unbalance because he never got closure because of his parents marriage. This child was finally realizing the importance of family. He finally felt the love that was always there but he could not see. When he started realizing the importance of family, it was taken away from him. He wanted to stay with his father because slowly he is realizing that his mother is not a saint. When he said should I go? He wanted to stay with his family. When noone replied to him, he felt his world crashing again in front of him.

Now we have Adi's father who has craved for his son. Finally when he started genuinely bonding with him, he had to let him go for a brief moment. The fact he knew he could not stop his son, killed him. Today I would call Raman a majboor father because for the first time the situation was set up that Raman really could do anything. My only wish in that scene was Raman comforting Adi by saying "Son I cant stop you right now but I promise I will bring you back" or some comfort words. But this man has been broken so badly and atmosphere had not allowed him to say anything. The guilt and not being able to face his son killed. For that moment Raman Bhalla though he was loosing his son again. What hurt him more is seeing the hurt on his son's face. But Adi should not worry because this time his father is using his brain will fight for him legally which will be more effective for Adi to get his full recovery. He will be away from this poison that claims to love him and calls him his mom.

GA has improved so much in his acting because today I could see the hurt on this child's face and no comment about KP because he always kills it in emotional scenes. Because today there was not one person who could not feel the pain of the father- son duo.

***Notes***:
  • Mihir is such a gentleman. I loved how he tried to comfort Rinki. It was very sweet of him. He genuinely wants a clean start and his actions are proving that.
  • Shagun was so cheap today. It was disgusting. I hate people like her who blame everyone else but themselves for the choices they make. You are the only person responsible for your choices. I was disappointed in Amma for stooping to Shagun's level.
  • Finally Ishita stood up for herself and slapped her (my second favourite part). I loved Romi's reaction when Ishu slapped Shagun
  • Thank God Raman used his brain and reopened Adi's custody. I really hope Shagun looses and if not then CVS have completely lost their mind. It would illogical for Shagun to get any of her children.
  • Toshji and Shagun were both OTT today. Didn't really care for it.
I just wanted to add my input in the upcoming track. I think Ishita's pov overpowers Raman's pov on the Romi-Sarika situation. Thats why I believe Ishita is right on the whole problem. However, I said this in another post. For once I wanted Ishita to stay away from the whole Romi-Sarika situation and let the Bhallas handle it. I am tried to seeing her blamed for everything even when it is not her fault. Let them go to Sarika and let HER reject the Bhallas. This would teach them a lesson.

PS. Congrats on the RT Gan!🥳

It was heart breaking to see Adi do that! I have to say acting with/ being around great actors i.e. Divyanka and Karan had a good impact on Gautam. He learned acting! His hesitation, his heart break all came out with his one look!

I don't know what to say about Shagun except people like her don't deserve to be created by God, then again, she wasn't! YHM CVs created her! If I called her a monster I'm pretty sure all the monsters in the world would turn up in my dream and ask me what did they do for me to think so low of them!

To CVs,

We know that Raman and Ishita haven't verbally confessed their love to each other. We know that they haven't consummated yet, Shagun DOESN'T!! She has no means to know what happens or doesn't happen between Raman and Ishita, based on her snooping around! Don't try this hard to prove that you guys are illogical and dumb, because we already know and acknowledge that you are!

First of all, I demand my bear hug. 🤗

Gan. I couldn't look at the first collage of your post yesterday for more than a brief moment...and then, I couldn't even read the entire post. The precap yesterday was very hard to watch, but the first two minutes of today's episode were gut-wrenching & heartbreaking. I was a basket case before the 1st 2 mins of the epi were even over.

You've captured all the essence and emotion of that brief exchange between a father and his son so beautifully in this collage today; your words mimic my thoughts...you know how I feel today...this collage says it all. THANK YOU.

Every single day that you are not with me,
I think about you.
I wonder what you are doing,
I hope that you are safe.
I pray that you are happy.
My love will follow you wherever you go,
Whether you want it to or not,
Forever and ever,
Because you will always be
My...Child.

***

I'm going to try to make sense, but my feels are all over the place and my heart's not strong enough to witness this father-son duo's tears.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the still of today's precap in your post yesterday was the look of sheer anger and hatred that Adi gave RKB during the Shagun marriage track when he was under the influence of Param and Ashok. Quite a juxtaposition.

[Your Nov 17th post - a moment brilliantly captured: https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/ye-hai-mohabbatein/4227391/adi-updated ]

Previously, in such situations where his mother has been humiliated, we've seen Aditya become very angry and confrontational. Today's Adi was mature. In the short time he's spent with the Bhalla parivaar, he's begun to learn that he's been misguided about his family all these years...that they're not so evil as his mother has always made them out to be. Previously we've seen Adi in a haste to remove his mother from such situations of public insult and humiliation...today, he was being dragged out, almost against his will.

Today, I saw a boy who has finally begun to understand his father's plight.

That one question today broke my heart. Not a question a child should have to ask...not one a parent, should ever have to answer.

I don't have kids, but My RKBs pain was tangible. I can't imagine what it must take for a parent to turn their back on their child.

What is sad is that they have come so far these past few months...they'd finally begun to build their relationship back from zero. What is reassuring however, is that the foundation is incredibly strong this time around. Adi has finally begun to understand Raman; he's finally seen and experienced his father's love. I'd like to think that Adi understands that Raman wasn't literally turning his back on him today.

I'd also like to entertain the idea that perhaps Raman turned his back to allow his son to make his own decision. Adi has always chosen his mother...perhaps Raman knew that today would be no different, that Adi would again, choose his mother over him...and perhaps, a father simply was not able to watch his son walk out of his life again.

When father and son turned back for one last glance at each other, the exchange that was made in that moment between the two was unbelievably poignant. A father's continued longing for his son...and at last, a son, longing for his father. That one gesture by Adi said it all. Perhaps soon, both father & son's hearts will be mended at last.

It is wonderful to see My RKB be proactive about filing for full custody of his son. Raman knows how much Adi loves his mother, and so has hesitated in seperating him from her...as he's said himself previously, Adi can't live without her. Today however, I think Adi's tearful, questioning eyes gave him the assurance and certainty he needed to finally realize maybe that's not the end all be all. Maybe, if given a chance, his son might choose him. The thought alone makes me smile...and hope for the beautiful future father and son have together.

Needless to say, I'm excited for the custody track. It's been a long time coming. I'm ready for both my boys to finally see an end to the heartache.

***

Just a couple of notes:

1) I was sad to see RKB's reaction time to Shagun insults to Ishita be so late...the RKB I know would have intervened at the mention of the work "baanj", if not sooner...I guess they have to allow the sautan's to fight it out in the name of drama and masala tv. Sadly, they're doing it at the cost of My RKB.

2) Mihir and Rinki are cute...I'm looking forward to their relationship.

3) Too much OTT drama. I wish they'd tone it down a bit. Looking past the unnecessary drama and focusing on my Adi-Raman for now.

***

Love,

P

PS: Sorry this is all over the place...and, congrats again on the RT 😳
PPS: Have to mention Gautam today. He's grown by leaps and bounds as an actor. He connected the audience with the heart and soul of a 12 year old boy today. Brilliantly portrayed emotion.

Res... to expected provocations, unexpected reactions , a lacklustre defence and, it seems, inescapable truths.😕
----EDIT---

G, love your post and quote especially today... beautifully said and so apt for what we saw. And the collage and Aru's GIFs, you ladies really know how to tug at the heartstrings huh? #Congrats on the RT #You're YHM internet famous #Take a bow #And a couple of shots😉

Honestly, I don't know how I feel about the episode... it had its moments surely, but again it was clearly setting up some future tracks, that too some very unsettling ones to come. There were some good moments, bad ones and some disappointing ones and on the whole I was left a little disheartened by the end f the episode, especially after the precap.

I already gave my take on the Raman/Adhi scene yesterday and it still holds true today. The only other thing I saw today was the difference in Adhi's approach to his parents. He ran to his mother as she stumbled out of the Bhalla family (as she had stumbled into their house in December... seriously, it was December!) out of instinct. His eyes were full of hurt at once again having his home and family taken away from him due to the relationship of the homeowners to his mother... and then when he looked back at his father the look was full of pain and yearning. That was't instinct, that was a cry for help, and not even a silent one.

Because of his mother's antics , Adhi was forced to act beyond his age and shoulder the responsibility of being his mother's protector... and for the first time, looking back his father, I saw him act his age and call out for his protector. It was a beautiful and genuine moment whose impact was only increased by the flashbacks. And I am so very glad that Raman turned and his son saw the pain and suffering in his father's eyes too- so he knows that as his father had once said, he is wanted and loved by the Bhallas. In that moment, that was a much needed assurance for Raman's little boy.

The MINKI wedding was short and sweet but it got me thinking about ISHRA's wedding. Both marriages started off under less then ideal circumstances and with the bride and groom not completely happy about the marriage itself, rather they were both looking to the future to the fruits of the union. For ISHRA it was Ru's custody and for MINKI it was a friend who they knew would never let them down as those they loved had. Both marriages were compromises of a sort and entered into with no expectations regarding it being a real union. But if the ISHRA marriage is the blueprint for the MINKI one there is hope for an unforgettable love story, albeit with a different complication then ISHRA's.. and their 'first night' certainly indicates a new love story in the making. I have to say that RSA is looking so much fresher in this new track... it's like he found the energy that was drained when the MIMI love story came to an end... I can't say I'm a fan yet but I can certainly see the potential and look forward to a nice distraction from the mess that is to shortly befall the Bhallas.

As for the much awaited slap, I loved it, ofcourse i did. But the entire scene just made me a little nauseaous. I hated the repetition of the 'B-word', unnecessary - and all those vile insults.. again the CVs could still have gotten the point across without that. It just made me so sad and seeing her family, the family she stood up for, the family on behalf of whom Ishita slapped Shrieky, the family who hours before had again stood silent as she was insulted - do nothing; that was painful. I love Raman, but today I was disappointed in him for that.

I loved him in his scene with his family but I hate that the only defence he provided was 'my wife' and that too after all the insults... it's simply not enough. It belittles Ishita and all she is and was to the Bhallas and it demeans the distance their relationship has come for him to just stand back and let it continue... if he had atleast showed some physical sign of comfort or solidarity I would have been appeased. But he didn't. And that is sad. I hope that one day soon ISHRA are given the opportunity to really talk about the accusations that were hurled in Ishita's way today, because it must be addressed. Leaving those statements unaccounted for gives them a sheen of truth that is unforgivable.

Next, Shagun's distasteful remarks about ISHRA's love and love life. Unnecessary, and crude and says a lot about the woman who spoke them. In retrospect , I feel like this statement and view was one of the reasons we were presented with Mihir's view of the ISHRA relationship as an ideal one yesterday. Not only does it give two opposing views of the same relationship coming not just from two people but two siblings but it also speaks to the differing ways relationships are defined and how that is influenced by those around you. For Mihir, growing up with the Bhallas , he values the intangible connections that hold strong through every trial; and Shagun, being influenced by her mother and 'high class society' values the outwardly material connections that can be proved. One is deep , the other is shallow- that pretty much says all that needs to be said about the differences between the siblings. #Are we sure they are related #I demand a DNA test Add to that Raman's statement to Rinki today about the strangest of ways stings relationships can be found and we can see the distinct difference between Shagun and everyone else .

Random thoughts:

1. Since MINKI don't look like they will be taking advantage of those honeymoon tickets, can't ISHRA use them instead? #Only way it'll happen these days #Plus they can save the money they spent#Isn't that a priority these days?#Do it for their bank accounts 😉 #Gotta save money where you can #Waste not, want not

2. My poor little Ru looked a little lost today, I wish we had gotten a little dose of her sweetness in the MINKI scene atleast to alleviate some of the seriousness of the episode.

3. AH's 'purinthatha' was so much more realistic tonally then NK's... kinda funny but that's the thing I appreciated in her performance today.

4. Romi/Raman/Mihir= Gladness, Toshi= Madness, Precap= Sadness

My episode experience:

#I feel like I should be happier #Especially after the slap #And the Raman-Adhi scene #But I'm not #Am I alone?
