I totally agree - as cringeworthy as the Shagun scene was yesterday...it might have been Anita's best acting since the garbage can scene...which is ironic because she displayed the most range of emotion at the start and end of the "Shagun saga" track! 😆
Definitely. That day when Ashok threw her out, she had the most dramatic reaction and it was wonderfully enacted and same goes for when the Bhalla's and Iyers threw her out. The best and worst comes out of her only when thrown out 😆
Related, I agree that as crass as it was for Shagun to talk about Raman & Ishita's stagnant relationship...they needed a jhakta. I had mentioned this a few weeks back when we kept getting platonic love from the duo, but after the Adi medicine kaand, they both kind of fell into a sense of normalcy. With all that was going on in their home, their relationship was not a priority. Yes they stole some moments for each other, but they were always left incomplete. Additionally that desire and passion we saw the night of the medicine kaand kind of flickered away due to life stress - which is pretty reflective of real life couples too. I just wonder if they are ever going to actually talk about Shagun's accusations given the impending Romi-Sarika drama!
I agree totally. It's kind of become annoying to see IshRa be so stagnant with their relation ever since the airport scene actually. They've both definitely had romantic moments, but they weren't of a couple growing in love or falling in love or even attracted to each other. It seemed more like of a couple who've had 20 years of marriage and are already way too comfortable with each other. Or rather even gotten bored of romancing, because what's new in it 😆 On a serious note, YES the drama, the situations and mess at home with everyone that goes on and on, has aged them before time. And if you equate that to real life, I think its understandable.
In terms of things happening in public - that's all for the drama because ideally none of the following things should've really be done in public (1) Ishita asking Mihir (b/c doing it in public no matter how noble the intention did add an element of coercion), (2) Romi's truth reveal, & (3) Shagun's screeching today
Yes, if logic or some realism is involved in these scenarios I have issues with all of this. Shagun's shouting is still understandable. She loves making issues and insulting Bhalla's in front of the world is her thing. But Ishita taking rash decisions without consulting the elders and just doing it all right in front of the world. Romi exposing his truth in front of the whole world etc. Everything is just so unreal and bizarre. But what's even bizarre for a show anymore. 😆
I think your perspective on why Raman's lack of reaction holds true, but it's still kind of ehhh. I just wish they would show a small conversation between Ishita and Raman about the entire fiasco because from a viewer's perspective, during this entire Shagun track, Ishita has on numerous occasions been left to battle for herself and the only people who would step in to defend her without hesitation were Ruhi & Mrs. Iyer.
I agree. I don't know if its intentional or unintentional on the script's part but it does not seem enough for him to stand and listen. If its intentional I hope that the same has a place in the story later. When either his silence is questioned by Ishita, makes her insecure OR at least Raman feels guilty about it. If its unintentional and done only so the lady gang of the show can battle it out while men stand mute as on other Indian soaps, then sadly we'll just have to digest it and forget about it as all other badly ended tracks on YHM.
Again, I loved your views! After spending a day ranting...your views definitely bring a different perspective to some of the issues I had with the shaping up of the track/episode! 😊
