A few of my cousins have gotten arranged marriages but I wasn't there when the guy's side came to see them (I only attend the actual wedding functions to gorge on the gulab jamuns and rasgullas 😛😆) so I had no idea how much taam-jhaam went into it. Loved the chapter Nisha. The way you described how Vandu and amma helped II dress up, how Vandu teased her little sister and amma smiled, how the entire Batra and Bhalla clan showed up at the door with Vandu's in-laws, dressed in full Iyer style...it all played in my head. And then you absolutely killed it with the last two sentences. 😳

I can only imagine how much of a treat it will be to read the chapters about the wedding and post-wedding rituals. 😉 You have me more and more excited now! Can't wait for our weekend bonanza!
