excellent post...i so agree with ur points...especially the first one...even though i knew from the very beginning of the show that it would ultimately turn into a love story but somehow i thought they would try to keep the storyline intact...they started off with ruhi ..i mean the show is on ishita and ruhi and raman's bond..then why the hell makers r such introducing tracks to drag the show...i know its not an easy job..but atleast they should think that people liked the show coz of its uniqueness otherwise who doesn't know about Ekta's style of making serials...my mother is a hugeee fan of YHM even she is feeling sad about the way they are proceeding with the mani track... she said with this track CV's hv contradicted ishita's character..she has always been a jasoos whenever anyone in the family is having a problem but why is she acting like a dumb when it comes to her own husband...somewhere she knew that raman feels jealous of Mani..so by now she should hv gotten her answer when Raman told Mani.." ek ghar basaya tha maine tune use bhi ujhar diya.."

Everyone knew and waited for a love story, we still do. But introducing characters and then killing them to gain numbers is plain wrong.

It's a daily show - 6 days a week -
On top of that it's an ekta show :))
.that must be answering all of your and everyone's qs I think
I stopped watching at the beginning of this week and shall continue to now catch after the track is over

You have point there. And I did mention them in my original post and to that in said that there are so many loopholes and tracks they can venture into. So many other things to do but resort to this.
Well, I watch Supernatural. Doctor Who (it's not American though, it's British, Sherlock can't really be counted. The Originals is just on its second season. There's a huge list.

But have you seen Doctor Who? It's been running for 50 years and it hasn't deviated from it's premise - just a madman in its big blue box. Supernatural has always been about brotherhood, for tm long seasons.

It depends on what you watch. Indian Television gives us one hour twenty minutes worth of footage a week, Korean dramas give you double that - mini dramas or the long ones. Take Unstoppable Marriage, A Little Love Never Hurts, Can You Hear My Heart. If they can do well, why can't we?

I find it easier to pile my episodes and then simultaneously read through written updates as I skip through selected scenes. Makes it easier.

Please. They would start caring when they lose their audience like grains of sand that pass right through your fists. Do you think typical Indian audience can cater to this? Visuals and all that. My maid who was cleaning saw me watch a scene where someone was on the bed, Ashok and Shagun, I guess And they were just in bed and she looked at me as of she caught me watching po*n. Yes. YHM isn't cutesy like IPKKND or stupid like Saathiya or any of those shows. It was meant for a particular time slot and it should stay there. What do you think will happen? The 11 o clock base audience will lose track, they quit the show resulting in loss of TRP both in the 11 pm slot and then the 7 pm spot too.

But they're smart, okay. They give you horrible tracks with one or two scenes that you would watch the episode for.

And at the end of the day the fact remains that it is their show, they put things on the platter while we choose if we pick it up or not. They didn't care nor and they won't care later. YHM will soon be DEK2 where the creative initially went against the audience want, even calling the online audience, quoting the writer and producer, "teens in search of Prince charming" and then when people quit the show they desperately tried to revive it, the funny thing there was that the audience preferred the second lead while the producer and writer were in love with the first. When morphing the first to be a replica of the second didn't work and nor did their other nataks they attempted to bring it back with the second as the lead only to end it abruptly. That's all I know. No one paid attention when we told them to stop, look around and save the show from going down the drain. And it's happening again. But as I said, they earn and we just waste our time, thoughts and efforts.

This is only my second Indian serial. I watched one five years ago for the first time and seven months into it, I tuned out when a crazy plot was served in the name of entertainment. When I started watching this show four months into the show I wondered if this one would hit the skids after seven months...and sure enough with Ishita's invitation to bring pervy Param back to the Bhalla house, the heroine has lost her identity, not the same urban, educated, modern woman but the formulaic desi bahu who has directed all her attention away from Ruhi and Raman and behaving like a giggling teenager who can't get enough of her childhood friend's company. It's not like Ishita bumped her head somewhere that caused her to regress into her teeny-bopper years...this track is too much to swallow...urban woman has been turned into the dumbest dame/dentist in Delhi.😕

The show has list his Charm and magic from my side. Now, nor is it worth my time or thought. I don't know when I'll start watching it again but I'd like to thank Ekta for giving us such great characters and a memorable premise, but this ends here. I'd also like to thank her for helping me end this obsession, or rather ending in for me.
