Did he? Aaaw, I must have missed it since I didn't really understand his speech. So yesterday, when he said it loud and clear in a language I actually understood, it gave me the warm fuzzies. 😆😳

Hi Payal,

Beautiful post!
Thank you, Hima!

Loved Karan in last night's episode.. he does emotional scenes with an ease and it just looks natural. Kudos to him for bringing forth the emotional conflicts of Raman towards Ishita.

Words fall short when it comes to KP. I'm not even going to try anymore. I'm speechless and in awe.

Ruhi just lightens up any scene. I was glad she was there to comfort Ishita when she needed most. She is always there to guide her Ishima to do the right thing. Although I did feel the matarani dialogues were a bit too much for a 6 yr old. Nevertheless, Ru does a fab job as always!

I have to say, I didn't mention her in my post because I was so moved to tears in the first few minutes of her performance that I couldnt finish watching the scene in its entirety. But yes, I think her dialogue was a bit mature for her age. But Ruhanika is a phenomenal actor.

I feel that Mani is there for a purpose.. to bring out these dormant feelings in Raman.. don't get me wrong, the feelings are there and growing over-time.. but they still lay dormant in the sense that Raman is not acknowledging his changing relationship status with Ishita. He is too comfortable taunting and teasing her to come out of his shell. And Ishu is also like that.. both seem to retract back into their shells as if nothing happened even after a romantic encounter.. not that there is anything wrong with it.. they love to be friends and fight with each other because they are most comfortable with it.

@ Bold: I couldn't agree more. As I said in response to someone else just a while ago, if the Mani hadn't been there to shake things up for Raman, their relationship status would have remained stagnant for a long time to come. Raman needed Mani, Romi's accusations, and Ishu's falling ill, to shake him out of it and give him a wake up call. Now I hope that he takes things in his own hands, and without any other catalyst, decides its time for them to lay the cards down and see where this relationship takes them. Though, I agree, I do love their back and forth, but I'm not complaining if the equation is finally going to change...as long as they don't rush into any elaborate confessions of love. My heart isn't ready for that yet. I want them to take it slooow.

But their relationship needs to progress. Had it been Bala or any family member interfering, it would not have the same impact as Mani. Mani is not family.. he is an outsider.. for both Raman and Ishita as well. Ishita is not comfortable sharing about her feelings of Raman with Mani because she feels he is an outsider. Ishita may light up and greet Mani everytime she sees him, but the truth is, when it comes to matters of her heart, she does not include him. So, Mani only brings out the childhood Ishita in her but he cannot make her share what is in her heart. Moreover, she will not let Mani say anything bad about Raman either.. we have seen that too.

Exactly I agree. It is easier to hear the truth from a stranger and, to talk to a "stranger" thats far removed from a situation because there's no real threat.
@Bold: DITTO. I couldn't have said it better.

But Mani is the one who can give a push to their relationship. Being an outsider and misjudging IshRa relationship from a few incidents he had witnessed, is only he being human and making mistakes. But he has no bad intentions. Atleast I have not seen anything to that effect. He also said that he agreed with Raman when Romi came home drunk. So, he is an objective guy.. different from RKB.. mre like Ishu.. he too makes mistakes but will also correct himself once he realizes where he went wrong. So, Mani is there as a positive character.

I know he has no bad intentions, i just want him to stop interfering so much now. It didn't sit well with me that he eavesdropped on IshRa when Raman was trying to get her to eat. And I don't think it was his call to bring Ruhi to the hospital, and even if he did, he should have asked Raman to bring her in to see Ishu instead of taking the matter in his own hands. I'm not saying he's a negative character, I just think he's getting too involved in Ishu's personal life without realizing the true nature of her relationship with her hubby, and it rubs me the wrong way sometimes.

Raman questioning Mani was needed for him to get more clarity and depth of Mani's relation with Ishu. He rightly asked about Mani's whereabouts when Ishu got married and when her family was in trouble. He recounted some of them for Mani to let him know what all Ishu has been through without Mani's help and also because Raman wanted to pacify himself that he was the one standing by her in such serious times such as Amma's accident. That was also needed because it showed how insecure Raman was of Mani. It is the insecurity of losing Ishita combined with the insecurity of this new person in his beloved wife's life is what made him recount those incidents. He was not proving anything to Mani.. he was only proving or telling himself that he is not worthless and he has a rooted place in Ishu's life.

I agree. I misjudged this scene at first, but I see now that Raman was pacifying himself and trying to lay his own guilt to rest. I think, and hope, that this will show Mani that he has misjudged Raman. I have yet to watch the episode so dunno how their confrontation ends. Hope I'm not disappointed as I was yesterday.

But then Raman too was wrong in jumping to conclusions about Mani's absence from Ishu's life all these years when she needed a friend. I have a feeling, Mani will reveal a part of himself tonight to Raman where he might say what kept him away. I am not sure.. but I have a feeling these two will become friends soon.. just like Bala and Raman.

I hope he does. I think Raman and Mani both need to try to understand each other better - if not for anything but Ishita's sake. I wouldn't mind them being friends, but I don't want Raman taking advice from Mani in how to proceed in his relationship with Ishita. I'd rather he go to Bala if he needs advice in that sense.

Sorry for this long reply😳

Not at all. I appreciate it. Lovely reading your views, Hima. Thanks for bearing with me and reading my long post as well. :)

🤗Hiii

I felt he looked at Mani in that moment to see if Mani was shooting him an accusatory look - cause I felt Raman was so ashamed he felt he might bejudged. Thanks for pointing out the body language...I didn't notice...beautiful nuance of the scene indeed.

Agree to that, both what you said and what i said seems plausible to me.

Agreed. I couldn't have said it better. She came to him like the air he desperately needed when he was drowning...and he's finally realized, if he ever lost her, he'd lose the tether that is slowly pulling him up out of the past he's drowning in. If she left, he'd be left gasping for air.

Beautifully said😳

There was definitely nothing forced about that "meri". I found that it flowed so naturally out of him. He's always seen her ready to fight and take on the world, he's never seen her look this defeated...he need to remind her that she was his JKR for a reason...and because he cant liver without their quarrels, he needed that JKR back. As you said, she was JKR only for him.

agree. before the epi, i read someone post saying that RKB being emotional was too much and i guess it followed me when i was watching the epi so i was a bit biaised, but now i don't think it was forced.

@BOLD: No need to insert anything. The end all be all, is that he voiced that she was HIS. That's all that maters. THAT was validation that they have come so very far from that contract marriage. We even saw during the giving up presidency track, he covered up his actions saying he did it for Ruhi (they both did) but now, there's no denying this goes beyond Ruhi. He's finally accepted it. Finally.

Perfectly said. 😳

I didnt' realize he said "how worried I got" - i thought he said "how worried everyone was". I didnt rewatch the epi when i wrote my post, so I didn't pick up on the nuances you speak of...I will have to go check it out. His body language said it all for me in that scene. Masterpiece indeed.

I didn't notice the "bas!" in the context you've mentioned either - I clearly need to re-watch this scene...thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Raman said : " tumare chakkar mein kitna pareshan hua hun maloom hai? Everyone stayed awake all night" 😳 definitely talking about HIM then everyone.

Thank you for saying this. I couldn't figure out why I was so irked with him, because clearly, I appreciate him showing RKB the mirror these past few days...but I get it now. He's annoying because he's taking a bit too much liberty when it comes to Ishita's life. It needs to stop. Period.

AGREE

My heart goes out to him because he felt the need to validate. Whether it was to himself or anyone else. The more I think about it, I realize that this man feels his failed first marriage was HIS fault. He's failed at being a husband before...and now, Mani was telling me he's failing again, so yes, he needed to prove to himself that that is NOT the case. Wow. Painful and Powerful indeed. My heart aches.

👏👏👏 i feel 10 times smarter whenever i talk with you.

RKB has always been all about himself tho, hasn't he? He's been the victim for 6 years, and he can't shake himself out of that. Its as Ishu said when he showed up drunk at home during the save Adi track - she said "your desperation, your problems, your pain...you don't see beyond that. you don't see anyone else pain outside of your own." Ishita is ill, yet HE is the victim. THIS is how broken this man is. It's painful.

Can only agree 210% on this. Raman is not perfect, i often forget it. Beautifully managed by the cv.

Agreed with what u said about his attacking their friendship and asking Mani to prove his loyalty as a friend. The best of friends are the ones that you can disconnect with for 10 years but when you come back to each other, its like not a day has passed. As you said, friendship from afar is friendship. Raman felt attacked and felt as though he was being questioned as husband, and RKB being RKB needed to question back. He needed to turn the tables, and he did. Distasteful? Yes. Again, I'm not too happy with the way RKB handled the whole situation. Looking forward to seeing how the convers continues today.

This. Now i see why he questioned mani. Thank you.

To be honest, and as a testament to KP's brilliance, I forgot about KP completely yesterday. All I saw was Raman.

it happened a few time to me, even though it's more the contrary to me : all i see is karan. As if it was Tv reality (i don't know if i already mentioned to you or someone else...)
