Warning-Gush-fest ahead..Read at your own risk 😆

Okay..I have no idea where to begin..I have a lot of issues with Indian Telly & the regressive shite we are served in the name of entertainment..You have shows which romanticize violence, shows where the female lead is nothing more than a glorified doormat, love stories which comprise only of eyelocks & trip-fall-catch scenes & then you have YHM..YHM has its own flaws too & Ishita's mahanta is off putting on a lot of occasions..But its such a genuinely lovely show that i cant help but forgive Ekta for all the crap she otherwise dishes out 😆 This is one of the few shows which doesn't rely on the lead pair or their chemistry..Don get me wrong..Raman-Ishita are fabulous together..But i wouldn't mind watching an entire episode of Ishita-Ruhi, Raman-Ruhi, Raman-Shravu or Bala-Vandu ( Romi-Sarika too but the writers seem to have forgotten them😆) tbh..I cant say this for most other shows i follow cos they rely heavily on the leads & their interactions..This show frankly has the best ensemble cast & almost every actor is used in the best manner possible ( apart from Adi 😆)..Its such a feel good show & on most occasions, the comedy is not slap-stick & it genuinely brings a smile on your face..Now all the gushing might sound random but yesterday's episode was so lovely that i had to make this post 😆

Moving on to the actual point of my post-Yeah i originally intended to make this post only to gush about Raman 😆 From initially hating Raman & his obnoxious attitude and following the show only for Ishita-Ruhi ( they are still my OTP <3😆), i have reached a stage where i can sit through utterly annoying episodes just to watch Raman 😆 You can categorize the male leads of Telly quite easily cos there is not much variety 😆 You have angry young men, abusive & arrogant guys with a dark past, doormats, supporting hubbies etc. etc.And then you have RKB who frankly cannot be pigeon-holed into one category..He has a past but the reason was compelling enough for him to change..He has never been the abusive kind either..The only scene i can think of is when he came home drunk during the initial episodes of the show..And the guy is not stuck up or boring either cos he has the best sense of humor on Telly at this point <3 Oh and the guy has is own flaws too..Is emotionally vulnerable & obsessed with his forever constipated son 😆 Frankly, am really impressed with the way they have progressed with his character..The change in his feelings for Ishita, him moving on from Shagun & trying hard to change himself for Ishita- its all so subtle & realistic that i really cant pinpoint where it all started..In most shows, the change in feelings is so abrupt or jarring that you have no idea why or how they fell in love 😆 But the writers here have done a brilliant job in showing the gradual progression in their feelings..So yeah, RKB is angry young man + tormented guy + supporting hubby + a great father + an utterly entertaining character all rolled into one 😆

Oh and can i also add that Karan & Divyanka look picture perfect as parents? They have such brilliant chemistry with Ruhi..Like in yesterday's scene, i could totally see Raman as a loving papa who was concerned for his daughter..There is just something about the way they handle the kid..Their body language, the expressions, tone-am not sure what but they fit right in..You can totally buy that Raman is Ruhi's father just from a 2 minute interaction of theirs..Its that realistic & apparent..Anyways, i was a lil worried about the change in time-slot but the show has been so good the past few days that all that doesn't matter anymore 😆 Lets hope Ekta spares this show from all the mindless melodrama 😆

P.S. How brilliant is KP? That slight, half smile Raman has been giving Ishita off late is to die for..What an actor..I'l never get tired of praising this guy cos frankly its one thing to be backed by a good set of writers but this guy has owned the role like no other..And the subtlety & nonchalance with which he plays the role makes RKB so much more charming <3

P.S.S. This show is too precious to be ruined cos of some lameass off screen drama..I hope the focus always remains on the show rather than whats happening offscreen atleast till we get to see such awesome episodes 😆

Yes, yes, yes, yes! Especially for the part on Karan's superlative performance. He's such a phenomenal actor, and YHM has given him a great platform to bring out that talent. This is one show that does not rely on wall pinups (ok, once or twice a month that may happen😆), trip/fall, 12 mins of eye stares in a 22 min episode! 😆 I do throughly enjoy all characters, including Neelu, and I am dearly missing Toshi jee.😆 It's a well put together show, according to Telly standards at least, and it is built upon genuine interactions and conversations. The storyline is similar to every other show, but the treatment sets it apart...& Ekta has generally been brilliant in keeping audiences glued to her shows. Every other new show gets shown the exit door because the creatives simply are not able to hold their viewers after a month or two. It's simply amazing to me how invigorating the show still is. Desi soaps usually have a sell by date of 6 months...YHM is way past that! 😆 Ishita's character is flawed, because she's too perfect, but I forgive that due to her unapologetic nature. Raman is one of the few male characters that actually gets to act...have you ever seen other male Telly actors? They are as good as a piece of a chest drawer...*Ahem, Jigar etc etc*😆 The dialogues UPLIFT the show and its mood...there are days when the episodes are slow/shitty, but overall I am impressed and how!

PS - Karan Patel's half smiles remind me of SRK for some reason. I don't know why. I hope I am not beaten black and blue for that comment.

Haha IKR..And honestly KP is one of the very few actors who is so subtle & underplays most of his expressions..Its such a relief from all the hamming & overacting on Telly..And yup, Raman gets as much scope as Ishita & he is not merely used as a prop on this show..I love the way they have focused equally on how Raman's relationship with his daughter has progressed..KP is so so good in his scenes with Ruhi( or Shravu for that matter 😆 )..And Ishita & Raman's story is anything but shallow..Raman loves Ishita not for the way she looks but because of her personality..Ditto with Ishita..Its not a candy floss love story & that makes it so much more enjoyable..Btw, Ishita is one of the few female leads who works & drives a car too 😆 I hope they show her going to the clinic more often though 😆

Ranj, beautifully written!! This show has everything drama, comedy, romance, pain, happiness what we all need and have in our life. The way they have scripted lead characters are way brilliant. Ishita is an independent, self sufficient lady who loves her family which most of we women are today. No words to describe Raman's character. He is the most realistic who has lot of pain hidden in his heart.Hats off to Ekta and writer Sonali for bringing this wonderful show. They have the best ensembled cast. Honestly I have never felt bored watching scenes without leads. I am very happy with the pace they are going for IshRa's confession. Its definitely not easy to forget your past and move on. They are comforting each other unknowingly and will be together forever. Often due to TRP race, shows tracks get sudden changes like confession or the regretful SR😆 I just hope it would never happen in YHM

Truly KP and DT treat Ruhi as their own kid. They just involve with her like her own parents which makes the scenes more realistic!! Of course KP's smile is killer and I love the way he winks at Ishita.😉
With DT's cuteness and KP's naughtiness they make one hell of a couple who are sizzling onscreen. Hope this journey never ends😳

Doesnt want to bring off screen drama here. Lets spare some sane posts like this😆😆

That he is..He aces the role & is equally effective as a hubby, romantic guy, loving father, scorned lover, strict boss, tortured soul etc. etc. 😆

Thank you :) And yup, there are times when am really surprised that this is an Ekta show..For instance, i loved Mani yesterday..Infact, i loved his interactions with Raman 😆 I don give a damn about the TRPs tbh..I hope it gets enough just so SP doesn't put the show under scanner😆 Raman, Ishita & Ruhi are the best family on Telly man..They fit like the pieces of a puzzle..So perfect with eachother ..Its amazing how far Raman-Ishita & Raman-Ruhi have come..And i adore Ishita-Ruhi <3 Most endearing mom-daughter duo on Telly 😆
