Really Aani... your disclaimer about spoilers made me wait for a day to read this? seriously, I should have been able to enjoy this as soon as it was written, my friend.
You know Raman is my muse too... Every word you wrote rang true... Our Ramans seem to be merging 😆
I could live through his pain with him. It was that descriptive and heart-wrenching. I like sombre, so I LOVE this part!!!
Please do accept my sincerest apologies, I am having an exceptionally busy time at work this afternoon, and cannot write more.
I really did not want to wait one more day to post my comments on this piece of art of yours!!!👏
Here ya go...

This is going to be a slow burning fire for us readers 😉 You are so skillfully peeling the layers one at a time. GREAT background-building
This chapter is like the abridged pre-quel to YHM. I had this idea a couple of months ago to write a pre-quel SS, but never got the time 😒 sorry, went off-track.😆
I like that you have written about her first gift from Ashok, the subsequent relationship decline between Raman and Shagun, the greed, the unplanned sex, the unwanted pregnancy (well, at least for Shagun) and her final betrayal of poisoning their son against him. Somehow, I imagine you will give us the exact detailed description of Ishita's background too. and all these individual things that you wrote about in both their backgrounds will end up meeting conceptually. Am i making sense?😕
The most interesting aspect of your story is Shagun wanting to abort her second child. Wow, if I had to analyse Ruhi and Shagun's relationship in this light, I could write a book. And I guess there are some best-sellers already!!! Again, somehow this point about a child who is unwanted by one but coveted by the other is something that I think you are going to exploit in your story... yes, I think i m making sense 😆
I have had a long day Aani, but I had to read this one tonight. Still have Isha's OS left, not to mention the hangover of today's episode... sorry about the excuses, but this is why I cannot put more words to paper tonight. I am sorry my friend.
Here you go... it was really difficult to match the ones you put up this time, took me time. but something tells me you'll like this one 😉

Loved the second part Aani😃.
Hey Parul thank you 😃
You are always good with details and the words just flow through, but what I enjoyed the most here is Raman's recollection of his life with Shagun. Am delighted that you wrote about this (might have missed any other OS/SS where this was detailed but as of now, this is the one which focused on his past life with Shagun in detail).I am an Aamir Khan fan so details are my thing 😆 jokes apart, I believe its important to know a man' roots somehow and this BG was written for Raman to make out why has he become so faithless with the world, I am clueless like you if any other writer on the forum has written on them, but would love to read it nonetheless, there is a lot of scope for things going bad too. And sadly I am not inspired by them enough to focus primarily on them, but Shagun does help me in her own ways from time to time 😳
His life couldn't have turned upside down immediately, after all the guy had 2 kids with Shagun. The small details which he saw but chose to ignore for the happiness of his wife and the people around him is written really well. He was innocent yes, but also a family man and thus chose to do anything and everything for his family. The hurt which he must have felt when Shagun left him despite all of this, must be astounding.Yep, exactly no marriage just falls apart like that. Its like a slow poison is at work for it to finally kill. especially when kids are involved, most of the times its the woman who is shown as adjusting, here its the man who did it, because he was that simple and loving and for his kids obviously but well things meant to fall apart do. And when they happen with someone like Raman, who obviously is very invested in his relationships it tends to rock his very foundation.
About the show -- I have missed a few initial episodes of YHM and the few snippets they showed of his life with Shagun clearly showed how the man was never valued or respected by Shagun (the kitchen hand burn scene especially tells a lot). The Raman of today clearly sees this difference between Ishita and Shagun in terms of the respect and value he received in each marriage.I too have not seen much of the show initially I joined around the marriage track of IshRa but like you said the kitchen scene showed how undermined he felt, how it was a very demeaning relationship to him. Living with Ishita, seeing who she is has obviously altered his perception of her drastically. Now he respects her, values her and appreciates her when before he could barely stand her, considered her a gold-digger just because she is a woman like his wife. Now that he has seen the difference between the women, I hope he someday realizes and learns how similar his and Ishita' stories and fates are. 😳
Am really sorry to bring up the show in my comment 😳 ... but this track in your latest update is something that I have been curious about in the show as well :)
No problem glad I could work out something on the lines 😊
Can't wait for the next part ⭐️
Coming up in a while! 😊
i mean that was wonderfull each and every emotion word i loved it to the core plzzz continue.

Nice chapter Aani! But so sly! I didn't even get a clue as to where this is heading😕
This chapter has one question that has been on my mind since I saw the Raman Shagun was married to. Shagun knows she is beautiful and is vain because of it. She is also a very calculating woman. She must have had dreams of getting married to a rich guy who can give her everything she wants and make her happy. And when a person is so beautiful, I don't think it is such a big task to get a well settled guy as I have seen it happen in real life. Then, what on earth made Shagun agree to marry this dorky looking guy?I think you aptly described Raman's situation in all those years he was married to Shagun as if you were an eyewitness.😃😉
On the show, we all know how Raman tried to give hints to Ishita about his feelings and desires, by keeping a box of condoms in her drawer. An...
