okay.. your post has made me SPEECHLESS!!!...

Gosh with every write up i discover... what a wonderful writer you are..

With this chapter.. you definitely explained the title

Beneath the surface...

exactly the situation of raman and so apt words...

behind his tough and hard exterior self... there still lives a guy who is shy geeky.. and wants nothing in life more than love...\

and i wanaa give applause to you for describing shagun- ramans's relation... .and how gradually they fell apart...

why shagun have no maternal feelings for ruhi as she had for adi...

in the serial its the only missing link... why shagun left ruhi.. if she could take adi.. she could have taken ruhi too.. but whatever might be the reason... you dear... has explained terrifically...

yes... DELUSION is the correct world for Raman... and how destiny every time mocks at him for being deluded... first he was deluded in shagun's love... and then he became deluded in thiis materialistic world...

and you have clearly explained how the first gift from his boss... had sown the first seed of their relation fallling apart...

"With time as her demands increased so did his anger and discontent with his marriage and wife, but he chose to take it all silently - she was the mother of his child after all and began justifying her incessant need to everyone including himself.

Shagun only wants for good things, there is nothing wrong with it, she likes quality stuff, nothing wrong with that , she is not greedy only picky.

and these lines clearly show... how he had with every cell in his body tried to work on this marriage... how he forcefully want to be in a deluded mode... and how he was justifying every damn thing shagun did with himself...

then his race to being a big man... as after her betrayal he thought that only richers and materialistic things matters not the emotions and the changes he went through ... the anger and the mistrust he developed...

and now his concepts are again gonna change ... and now too he dont have have any control over it...

Loved both the part.

Loved the way u delved into Raman's heart to bring out his emotions n pain he must have gone thru during his marriage to Shagun n period after that.

Always loved the way u write with such detailing that scene gets created in front of eyes.

Hats off to ur visualizations n imagination

n d way ur express emotions of character is really outstanding.

waiting for Ishu's side of story n their realisation of each other's painful past.

I like it that you took two chapters of an SS ( very vital thing as it is an SS) to chalk out Raman Bhalla. Though past never is an excuse for present it shows us why the man is at times so blind. He has seen enough ugliness that he chooses to shut out goodness as well now. You still amaze me Ani.
