Wow... simply superb writing. Loved the way you ended the story...at this juncture, they both needed a friend... to share, to understand, to console, to laugh and to support. It's a new beginning for them both...towards a better and strong relationship...a step which will lead to a blissfully journey together.

Also loved Raman's sensitive side...was too natural of the character. To forgive is easy...but to forget it takes a lot of time...and you have sketched it brilliantly. Enjoyed your story immensely.

You gave a very logical and beautiful ending to the story. All the parts are amazing but the last one is very emotional. Actually this part reminded me a scene from Jab We Met when Shahid asks Kareena to call up her ex and blast😆 But you made Raman handle the matter very sensibly and made a point to Ishita that he will be with her😳. There is definitely lot of thinking to be done in this. I too wonder like Ishu is it necessary to hate some body who was in our past and forgotten. I understand sometimes it let us out the frustration but still in thinking mode😛

Another gem of SS from you Ani. I hope you dont mind me calling by your name😳

Aani, personally I felt there was no need to leave an author's note since I can understand there was no inspiration for you to go to the depth of Ishita's character and write more about her.
Its just the beginning, there's much time left to show Ishita's character in detail (I believe!) so lets look forward for some sort of that to happen in the show which may inspire you more to write about her, hopefully.
Coming back to this topic;
Got your point which you've expressed in the last part of this OS in particular.
Aani I have a different thought and some views that is so contrary to yours.
Its not the right place and time to discuss. Some other time if situation permits.
But But, let me tell you any of above couldn't stop me from admiring your way of narration ...
This was one more fab OS of yours !!!

Aani,

The last part was perfect and you ended it at a perfect place. What makes you story so relatable is this is what we want to see in the show. This in-depth look of their past. like you said we don't know much of Subu and if you just assume stuff about him it will take away from the realistic nature of the story.

this was perfect. You could make the reader relate to the story by your words. Love this line.

"Ishita... Sometimes in life, things are said and done which never should happen, things where the only intention behind doing them is to hurt someone. That is wrong, sometimes you realize you made a mistake almost immediately and sometimes you do with time. The point is some things can never be forgotten or forgiven. Even if the other person forgives you, sometimes you may not forgive yourself or perhaps you cannot forgive the person who wronged you. Forgiving is not easy nor is it always possible even if saying you should forgive or must is easy."

Hey Aani ... sorry could not read and reply before ... was away from IF for a few days :)

Absolutely loved the last couple of parts . It was incredible how Raman tried to essay his feelings to Ishita about opening up to her past and accepting her feelings that her past is locked up but not forgiven yet. Even with Raman, all those near him can see his anger towards his past but I doubt the pain is so easily visible. Truly a conversation between two hurt souls who try to hide it the best they can 👏.

You know how I would love to see Subbu back but it appears the writers have different ideas. Why do I get the feel that they will show Ishita as a true Superwoman who is invincible *sigh*.

Loved your ending to this SS ⭐️

@bold - I am so glad you liked that he was nervous, somehow I cant imagine that the old Raman is completely gone, the one who is lost now.. he is just buried deep within this new one and the one who is coming out slowly, being coaxed out because of Ishita unknowingly since she is being everything he looked for and wanted in his wife. So it was HIM who wanted to reach across and help Ishita and I imagine he would be nervous in this case - since he was a naturally shy person, with Ishita there is comfort but yet .. this is new to him hence the awkwardness but still he had to do it.

@red - yep, it will not be easy for her to open up since she has buried it deep within her, if she doesnt even let on how much in pain she is, she has numbed herself but numbing the pain for a while only increases it when you allow yourself to feel it... yeah I just quoted Rowling over there 😆
