Rubina Dilaik and Srishty Rode in Punarvivah2

Rubina Dilaik and Srishty Rode have been finalised to play the lead roles in Punarvivah2 opposite Karan V Grover. The serial, a love triangle is slated to go on air from May 20 on Zee. Says producer Sumeet Mittal, "We had a challenge to give audience memorable characters like Yash (Gurmeet Choudhary) and Aarti (Kratika Sengar). We were very anxious and cautious about selecting the artistes. After a series of mock shoots and look tests, we selected Karan, Srishty and Rubina. The story will revolve around a married couple and their past. "

For Rubina, best remembered as Radhika of Chhoti Bahu, this is her second major outing. "I was thrilled when I got the offer. It's a big show and I have a huge responsibility," says Rubina who will be playing an actress in Punarvivah2. One similarity between both her characters, is their sacrificing nature. "I think sacrifice is written on my face," jests Rubina hoping it will help in grabbing eyeballs.

When asked what kept her away from TV for so long, Rubina says that though she was offered several shows, after two seasons of Chhoti Bahushe wanted to take a break and come back in a fresh avatar. In fact, her beau and Chhoti Bahu co-star Avinash Sachdeva is also gearing up to return to TV with a show on Star Plus. Ask her any chances of seeing them together again and she replies in the negative. "We got many offers but somehow things did not materialise and now both of us will be busy with different shows," she smiles.
