As Parth is walking towards the dorm, he reminisces the hug the he just shared with Vibha and smiles. His pain and his aches seem to disappear every time he thinks of her. He feels so grateful that she didn't care about her own life to save his. He thinks he has found someone who cares for him more than he has ever cared for anyone, even his own mother. He thinks he is blessed and that life always gives surprises in big amounts. He wants to always be close to her, and always wants to be with her. But he doesn't know how to make it happen.
She is happy to see him smiling and recovering. She thinks she will always be there for him, no matter how hard life gets. But will a future with him be really possible? She tries to get on with the exam preparations and hopes Parth is able to revise properly.
Parth focuses on his exam and tries to not think of Vibha. He thinks he will have all the time in the world to talk to her, to spend moments with her, to adore her, if his exams go well. But if they don't, then the time with her won't bring him happiness. He is born to excel in school, and he does it again the next day, as his hard work pays off, and his exam goes well. He is about to go tell Vibha that his exam went really well but as soon as he goes to the staff room, he overhears Rishab sir wishing Vibha. He thinks it is Vibha's birthday and she didn't even mention it to him. He feels sad, and Rishab notices him. He calls out his name, and asks him if he needs anything and Vibha is surprised to see him there. She fears he may have heard Rishab sir wishing her and stands up. She tries to walk towards the door to talk to him, but he says he doesn't need anything and leaves in a rush.
She feels he is upset that she didn't share her special day with him. And she surely didn't want him to find out it was her birthday this way. But how could she make him understand that she didn't want him to get distracted from his exams? He on the other hand perfectly understood why she hid her birthday from him. She wanted him to focus on studies and that's why she didn't tell him. But why did she tell Rishab sir? That was the question on his mind. How did he find out? He was trying hard to not be jealous of him, as he knew how special he was for her, but he couldn't help the matters of the heart!
He is well prepared for the next exam, so he thinks of doing something special for her. But what can he do without telling anyone? And without leaving the school? He surely doesn't want to create more problems and disappoint her trust and faith in him... He thinks of asking the peon to hook him up with a cake from outside and the rest he can manage on his own. But what can he do by himself? He thinks hard...
First things first, he gets some money, the money his mother had sent again, and tells the peon to get a cake as he has to celebrate a birthday. He then thinks hard to do something to make it special for Vibha. He goes to his bed and starts looking around in his belongings to find something and he lands his eyes on the copy of black beauty that was a fond memory of his Dad. He at once thinks of giving it to her, as he has complete utter trust in her, he believes that she will understand the sentiments behind it and always treasure it. He wants to give her something that means a lot to him personally. And what better than a book that he had valued all his life? He takes the book, wraps it in paper and then heads out. He picks up a wild flower from the bushes and then waits for the peon to get back. The peon brings a small cake and candles and he tells him to keep the rest of the money for helping him out. The peon is happy and leaves.
Since everyone is having dinner in the mess, Parth decides to sneak in to teachers' quarters and walks towards Vibha's room. He suddenly sees Karthik sir coming along, so he hides behind a pillar. Once Karthik sir goes away, he stealthily makes his way into Vibha's room. He places the cake and candles on her small table and then places the book and flower next to it. He thinks this is not enough, but what else can he do? He impatiently waits for her to get back.
Vibha doesn't see Parth in the mess, so gets worried, she thinks he may be upset that she didn't tell him about her birthday. And though she knows he is not jealous of Rishab sir, yet she can't help but feel everytime he goes away from her, it has something to do with Rishab sir. But how can she prevent all this? With so many thoughts in her mind, she eats her dinner quickly and then tries to look for Parth. She doesn't find him anywhere so asks Utkarsh and even he doesn't know. She asks the peon and he says he saw him earlier, perhaps he is in his room. She is relieved that he is there somewhere. But it is getting late, and since it is exam time, she feels it best to not disturb him. She leaves and heads to her room.
As she enters the room and closes the door behind her, and tries to reach for the light, a hand holds her and as she's about to scream, another hand covers her mouth. She tries to say something...
Vibha - Mmm
Parth - Shhh... Main hu
Parth lowers his palm slowly that is covering her mouth...
Vibha - Parth! Tum yaha kaise?
Parth - Shh... Close your eyes...
Vibha - Lekin...
Parth - Please...
Vibha - Okay...
He takes her close to the table and makes sure her eyes are shut... He then lights the candles and then asks her to open her eyes... She sees the cake and is really happy...
Vibha - Wow! Parth... yeh sab...
Parth - Happy Birthday!
Vibha - (she smiles at him) Thank you... Lekin tumne ye sab... Kaise?
Parth - Aap uski tension mat karo, blow the candles and make a wish!
Vibha - Aur mujhe laga tha ki tum mujhse naraz ho...
Parth - Shhh... hamare paas zyada time nahi hai...
Vibha blows the candles, cuts the cake and feeds him. He then feeds her.
Vibha - Aur yeh kya hai? (looks at the wrapped book)
Parth - (gives her the flower and hands her the book) Yeh aapke liye... waise to mere paas aaj aapko dene ke liye kuch bhi nahi hai, par yeh book mere liye bahut hi khaas hai. Mere Dad ki favourite book hua karti thi, and I'm sure aapne bhi padhi hogi.
Vibha - (opens the paper wrap) Black Beauty... Lekin Parth main yeh nahi rakh sakti...
Parth - Lekin kyu?
Vibha - Kyunki yeh book tumhare liye special hai...
Parth - Aur aap mere liye...
Backgroung song plays...

Parth - Main nahi jaanta ki main jo apke liye feel karta hu woh kaise explain karu. Lekin aap jab bhi mere saath hoti ho toh mujhe koi bhi cheez, woh chahe kitni hi badi kyon na ho, pareshan nahi karti. Mujhe aapke saath rehna, aapse baatein karna bahut hi achcha lagta hai. Aur main to yeh sochna bhi nahi chahta ki aap agar meri zindagi main nahi hoti to... Aur us fire accident ke baad... Shayad isi ko pyar kehte hai? Mujhe nahi pata... Lekin main bas itna jaanta hu ki main hamesha aapko apne paas rakhna chahta hu, apne saath! Lekin agar aap aisa mehsoos nahi karti, toh koi baat nahi, main aapki khushi main hi apni khushi dhoondh lunga...
Vibha is teary eyed... She kneels down and puts her hand on his lips...
Vibha - Tum kitna kuch bol gaye Parth... Main bhi har pal tumhare saath rehna chahti hu, aur shayad tum nahi hote to... Lekin pata nahi yeh sach main possible hai ya nahi, hamara future...
Parth - Kyun nahi? Hum ise possible karenge...
He wipes her tears and she holds his face, and they both look at one another, she is sad that she is dreaming way too much and those dreams will be shattered, he is happy that she feels the same way and that he can make a future for them.
Parth - Main hu na, main sab kuch thik kar dunga... Ha thoda time lagega...
Vibha - Parth...
She leans close to him, and kisses him on his cheek, and then hugs him tight. He wraps his strong arms around her and gently caresses her hair.
Vibha - I love you Parth!
Parth is surprised for a fraction of a second, he smiles and gently pulls away from her... Looks deep into her eyes and holds her face with both his hands...
Parth - I love you too!
He gently kisses her forehead while still holding her face, she closes her eyes and smiles, she can feel the butterflies in her stomach and she just knows that she has never been happier! He then hugs her again and smiles knowing that he will make her happy and he will keep things right for her!!
