The Bride's Room

A grand wedding hall is shown. Every chair is full, full of people who are looking forward to witness a regular wedding.

The ayyar: Fetch the groom

Rajesh goes

A minute later, Surya comes wearing a white shirt and a veshthi. He is holding on to Gautham who is also wearing white and white with a big maalai around his neck.

Gautham sits on the groom's spot.

Meanwhile, Devi, Shenba and Selvi are getting Poongodi ready for her wedding.

Poongodi goes to the bathroom

Devi leaves the room too

Selvi: (to Shenba) when's your wedding?

Shenba: Whenever I find the right guy

Selvi: You will soon find him. With a golden heart like yours, anything you require will make its way to you.

Shenba: I didn't do a lot.

Selvi: (sarcastically) yeah, you only saved my life

Shenba: With a father-in-law like yours, you needed to have done what I did. You could have done what I did, you just chose not to.

Selvi: Exactly, I wasn't going to do that all. You did it. You saved my life from being a hell. You deserve all this credit.

Shenba: Great, I did it. Now, let's move on (tenses). I don't like all this (gives a small smile).

Devi comes back

Devi: Saravannan is still not here

Shenba: Well, we need to get him here if Poongodi is going to have a good life.

Shenba picks up her mobile on the table and starts dialling.

Devi: What are you doing?

Shenba: Calling Saravannan

Devi: Let's not

Shenba: What?

Devi: We'll let Poongodi call him

Shenba: You know she's never going to do that

Devi: We have to make her do it. We have to make her realise what's good for her life and make her choose the decision that will do just that.

Shenba: And, you think this will work?

Devi: I'm not stopping until this works like it should. And, neither should you.

Shenba: I'm with you till the end

Devi: Great

Selvi is standing clueless

Selvi: Hmm, (looks blank) what's going on?

Devi: Selvi, my darling. If you have no idea what's going on then you just have to wait until the suspense is broken.

Selvi: Suspense? Well then, I don't want to know any more information if I'm not going to know everything. So, I'll walk out and you can continue with whatever you are doing.

Devi: That's probably for the best

Selvi walks out

The Wedding Hall

Poongodi comes from the bathroom

Devi and Shenba stare at her with their game face on

Poongodi: (Smiles) what?

Shenba hands her the mobile

Poongodi: No (smiles) I'm not calling him.

Devi: Really? I think you should

Poongodi: And I think I shouldn't (smiles)

Shenba: You're going to regret this

Poongodi: I will only regret if I called him

Shenba: Are you scared that if he's here you will follow your heart.

Poongodi: (laughs) No

Shenba: Then what are you scared of?

Poongodi: Nothing

Shenba: We're here, for you. Tell us

Devi: We just don't you to feel that you made a mistake at a crucial point of your life.

Selvi, Devi and Shenba walk with Poongodi to the manavarai.

The ayyar: Kettimelam, Kettimelam

Saravannan shows himself on the entrance

Shenba shockingly looks at Devi

Devi smiles and nods to signal that she is responsible

Shenba touches Poongodi's shoulders

Poongodi looks up, sees him and smiles.
