There is no Mens Rea needed for abettment to suicide. When you abet suicide, it means you are not aware that your actions can cause someone to take their life. Its only a matter of instigation. And there is a series of circumstances leading upto it right from his marraige night and also the fact that Taps hates Ichcha.
About Veer, how can he think she was just being stupid? Is that the way to talk to a person like calling him mad, druggie etc? And she called him mad, means she was aware that he was mentally disturbed.
Btw Nandish acted great in this scene.
Also she is directly guilty for attempt to murder, these are all extenuating circumstances by which a good lawyer can prove her gulity even in the abettment to suicide case too.
There are no hard or fast riules in law apart from the basic things given in the law books itself. Every case is different, you can give case studies relating to previuous judgements but ultimately the judge takes the decision based on the present case only and it might not have any precedent in law.
