Chapter-4

"Kalyani, Kalyani, yahaan kya kar rahi ho?" Bike me baithe Helmet lagaye bande ki shakal to nahi dikh rahi thi magar awaz Malhar ki hi thi.

"Aj Metro cancel ho gayi aur autowale ne bhi yahan beech sadak chhor diya. Office ke liye koi auto mil hi nahi raha."

"Office jane wali sadak dhans gayi hai aur abhi do ghante tak nahi khulegi. Mera ghar paas me hi hai. Vahan chalkar intezaar kar lo."

Kalyani vahin khadi rahi.

"Mujhe agar zara bhi idea hota ki apko ghar le jane ke liye mujhe din bhar wait karna hai to main ham dono ke lie paas vali shop se lays, Kurkure, bingo sab le aata."

Kalyani muh banakar bike me Malhar ke peeche baith gayi.

Malhar ka flat kya tha, boys hostel ke kamron ka jhund sa tha. Furniture ke naam par ek kursi aur table aur ek bookshelf. Kuch paintings thi kon par ek chadar dhaki hui thi. Chadar hatai to ek bacche ka Chitra tha. Magar Malhar ji ki to shaadi hi nahi hui? To fir ye baccha kon hai.

"Khichdi khaogi, Kalyani?"Kitchen se awaz ai.

"Kya?"

"Khichdi? Jab ham dal aur chawal ko mix karte hain...

"Haan haan! Mujhe pata hai khichdi kise kehte hain."

"Khichdi? Ghar aaye mehman ko khichdi kon khilata hai?"

"Fir baj gaye hain raat ke nau aur mujhe yaad hai ki aap sab bekarar hain janne ko ki Kalyani aur Malhar ki zindagi me aage kya hua? But Fikar not, why fear when RJ Malhar is here.

Kalyani ki hasi roke nahi ruk rahi thi.

"Matlab ek ladki ne aapko dekha aur aap dar gaye? Aap itne darpok hain Malharji."

"Maine tumhe ye isliye nahi bataya tha ki tum mera mazak udao. Vaise usne mujhe sirf dekha nahi tha, chua bhi tha isliye main dar gaya tha."

"Kahan chua tha usne apko?" Kalyani ne Malhar ka chehra apne haath me lekar kaha, "Yahan." Fir apni hatheliyon se uski palkein band karke kaha, "Ab dar lag raha hai apko?"

Malhar ne naa me sir hilaya.

"Ye kya ho raha hai, ladke?"

"Are Aau Saheb? Aap Poona se kab ai," Kalyani unke pair choote hue boli.

"Ham sahi samay pe hi ae hain," Aau saheb ne kaha, "Atul! Atul."

"Kya hua Aai?"

"Vo teacher Santosh ka rishta aaya tha hamari Kalyani ke liye," aau saheb boli.

"Fir wahi baat. Aap jaanti ho ladke par socialism ka bhoot sawaar hai. Kehta hai meri shiksha dhan Arjit karne ke liye nahi samaaj ka utthan karne ke liye hai."

"To isme galat kya hai, Kaka?" Malhar ne poocha.

"Isme galat kuch bhi nahin hai, beta, par Kalyani ki maa ke guzarne ke baad hamne use phool ki tarah paala hai. Aur main nahin chahta, ki jeevan aur adarshwad ke sangharshon mein meri beti murjha jaye."

Na jaante hue bhi Malhar ne jo sapne neele Aakash me swacchand badlon ke sath taank diye the, vaastvikta ki nirmam dhoop se ve udhadne se lage the.

Vahin Kalyani badbadaye jaa rahi thi, "Shaadi shaadi shaadi. Mano iske bina ladkiyon ke jeevan me kuch aur ho hi na. Mujhe abhi MA karna hai, fir kavitaen likhni hai. Ek to mujhe itni bhookh lag rahi hai. Aaj maharajin kaki bhi nahin aai."

"Kalyani kuch khaogi?" Malhar ki awaz rasoi se aai.

"Kya khilaoge?"

"Khichdi."

Thank you very much. Honestly I'm waiting for a pure dual timeline love story on ITV. But ITV is all about arrogant ML, revenge marriage.

Earlier shows like Pyar Tune Kya Kiya, Yeh hai Aashiqui used to come but abhi to sirf naye naye villains introduce karna hai, ya fir doormat FL dikhana hai ya Superwoman. And male leads to poocho hi mat. Sab ek jaise hi lagte hain. I miss older generation actors like Kunal Karan Kapoor, Harshad Chopra, Karan Wahi, even Sehban in earlier shows, and actresses like Sanaya Irani, Priyanka Bassi, Priya Wal

The Lake House. I remember when I was in college, almost six to seven years ago, I made a bucket list for movies and TV shows and Lake House was in that list. As time passed, I completely forgot about that list, so you mentioning lake house is a beautiful serendipity.
