Chapter 17

Uma left from panchgani although Kanak had decided that she will not be serious but she knows that she owes a sorry to him. Sonal suggested that she should visit her uncle in Mumbai this will be a good change for her. So on weekend she left for Mumbai. In her house it's was a yamini day with her kitty party and her high socialite friends who don't care to flirt with someone who is young as her children. She was getting bored. Kanak called her uncle her uncle said right now he is in meeting but she can come to him they can have a dinner together. She agreed and left. She was happy but somewhere in her mind thoughts of Uma are going. She was happy with him he didn't make anything to feel her special but that was good she had fun like a individual. She finished her dinner. It was a urgent call for her uncle so he has to leave but he said her to finish her dinner and can go for shopping in hotel. She was on 7th floor so she took a lift to go hotel boutique. In the lift to her surprise it was Uma. She smiled but he doesn't reacted.

She was happy atleast now she has a chance to apologize but he was not looking at her. There were others as well in the lift so she could not talk. After sometime she sense a tickling on her legs. She feel absurd she thought of apology but he was doing such a cheap trick. She moved a bit again she felt like someone is tickling her. She looked at him in anger to stop. At ground floor the lift stopped again she felt the same she just turned around and slapped him he was surprised and shocked. She said I thought you are a decent guy and was thinking to say sorry but no I was wrong you are a cheap and disgusting man you thought that I will not be able to react so you are doing this cheap tricks but look you have messed with a wrong girl. Uma stopped her and said if you were planning to say sorry so must say you have to find an other way because by slapping you will not be forgiven and as far as cheap tricks may I know what I have done. Kanak said you were tickling to me infact not once but 3 times. Uma said wake up lady I was not yes that's true I approached you but you denied it's your badluck and it's finished for me. I respect others decision. I have not done anything. Kanak again blamed him but he denied. She said who else will do this I know it's you. A small kid come forward and said aunty it's me but I was not tickling to you my sticker is stick on your shoes I was trying to remove it. Kanak saw a cartoon sticker was stick to her shoes she removed it and gave it to back to the kid. He thanked and left. She was embarrassed Uma said henceforth before blaming to anyone just check the fact and left from there. Kanak ran behind him and said Umashankar I am really sorry. He said forget it don't want to discuss. She said no I want I am sorry for my behavior not only here but in panchgani too I should not behaved like that. He said it's okay leave it. She said if you have forgiven me let me buy something for you. He said I don't need anything . She said it's a small token of thanks from my end. It will give me happiness. He said okay if you insist. They both went to boutique and she bought some shirts for him. He said thanks for it. She asked buy the way what are you doing here. He answered I came her to meet someone. She said okay any special friend. He said yes very special. She said okay I must leave now my driver is waiting for me.

He said Kanak I was here to meet my Massisa she takes care of our business and there was a meeting here and she wanted my sign on some important papers. Kanak smiled and said oh I was also to meet my uncle but he is very busy so I was leaving. Uma said I didn't asked you. Kanak said if in case you need to know. Uma said okay . she said what's your number I had not taken it so sonal said I am such a fool. So just give me your number he asked why so . She said I can tell to her that I had your number but was forgotten but now I remember. He said okay take it. They exchange their number and Kanak left. Uma smiled.

Chapter 18

Uma and Kanak exchange their number and Uma come back home. Massisa and Maasa saw shopping bags in his hands and inquired about the same. Uma told I thought for a shopping as not done since a while so there was a boutique in hotel so went for shopping. Maasa said thank God atleast you find something interesting other than cases. Massisa asked was there someone else with you. Uma said yes. Massisa asked who Uma just replied it's ved. Ved helped me out in shopping. Massisa said he have a great taste. Just tell him to come tomorrow. Uma asked why. Massisa said we are planning to go for shopping so he can help us out. Uma replied ved is very busy tomorrow he can't and Massisa there is a difference between men shopping and woman shopping he doesn't have any idea about it. And now I am tired so just going to sleep. Goodnight to everyone and don't disturb me.

He went to his room and laid back to bed and saw a SMS from kanak saying goodbye. He called her back and asked about the message. Kanak said I am leaving for panchgani hence thought to drop you message. He asked why are you leaving I mean you stay here right and there are many good colleges out here so why do you study there. Kanak was quite for some time. Uma said I am sorry if I asked you something personal. She said no it's not like that but it's hard for me to stay here. Hence I don't stay long here. Uma said are you leaving today . she said yes. Uma said Kanak I want to meet you I mean everytime we met under wrong circumstances so I want to make for it. Tomorrow I will wait for you just come for lunch. Kanak said okay atleast I can do this. She said just send me the SMS.

Next day ved told it's clear Uma she doesn't want any relationship so why to chase her. Uma said I am not chasing her ved it just I find her lonely maybe she needs someone who can understand her. Ved said and you think it's you. Uma said why not. Kanak arrived and Uma introduced her to ved said my best friend and colleague. Ved excused himself from there. Uma asked Kanak there is a reason to call you that evening when I arranged a party for you I was surprised with your behavior and yesterday evening you were fine but again at night you were upset. Is it something is bothering you maybe about me. Kanak said no it's not about you atleast none on both the times. It's just something back on my mind which keeps me preoccupied. It's not you atleast. Infact with you I was happy but I can't be in any relationship not atleast now I have to complete my graduation and have some other plans after that. You are a very nice person and you deserve better than me . uma said it's not about what we deserve but what we want and maybe we cannot indulge in any relationship but we can be friends. Will you be my friend. Kanak said that's the most important thing I need now. They both shake hands as friends and started their lunch.

After that they keep on meeting she use to come Mumbai and he started visiting panchgani very often. She told him to meet in private not public he asked why so. She said because people will think we are in relationship. He said but you can clarify right. She said yes but nobody will believe me that I am with such a handsome and hot guy and not dating him. So better we should not give any reason for gossip. He said okay I will do what you say. In panchgani they use to do photo session and one day picnic and much more though Uma has feelings for her but she was not ready so he didn't want to force her. One day ved decided for a movie so they went to theatre but it was a murder mystery he said Uma like mystery since childhood. Kanak tried to watch a movie for a while but later on she got disturb and left the place. Uma walked behind her and asked what happened. She said I don't like murder stories. He said Kanak its just a movie nothing more. She started crying Uma tried to console her and take her out. Uma asked what happened. She said my parents were killed in front of me Uma and whenever I see or hear something like this past memories haunt me. He calm her down she said it was my 8th birthday there was a party at my house. After party everyone left I was in my room suddenly I heard a noise when I came out my mother took me and take me to my room. She hided me in a trunk and told me not to come out I was there hearing everything their screaming. The killer search me as well but couldn't find me. In the morning police came and took me out of trunk I saw dead bodies of my parents blood on my birthday gifts the decorations were still there and cake which was uncut as we were waiting for my uncle. That night was the most horrible for me.

After that my uncle got my custody he married yamini for me but yamini never loved me she trapped my uncle for money and when she came to know that everything belongs to me she began to harass me. So my uncle send me for studies far away from her. Uma I have taken medical counselling and therapy still I take it. I do sleep walk due to stress. Right now my aim is just to complete my studies and takeover my father's company nothing else. My uncle is deceived by the name of love so it's difficult for me to trust or love anyone. And just because you like me it's not correct that you carry my baggage so please understand me.

Chapter 19

Kanak break down Uma tried to console her he lift her up and hugged her she hugged him back. She can feel the warmth and love for her. She looked in his eyes it was deep and dark she was lost for a moment. He cupped her face up and kissed her. He said I love the way you are and when you love someone all her pains and sorrows belongs to you as well. And I am happy that you have shared your pain with me today. Today you have accepted me as yours but to accept or reject this relationship is entirely in your hands I will never force you I know you have trust issues but every relationship is based on trust so unless you trust me our relationship can't survive. He left her back to her hostel. Kanak was sleepless that night. Till that day every thing was cleared for her. She has to complete her studies takeover her company there was no one else in her life but Uma's presence she can't deny he is there and if he is not there she would search for him she want him but to accept his love comes with other problems her uncle acceptance yamini and many more but still she called him. He was expecting her call. She said she wants to meet him so inform him to meet her next day.

Next day when she met him she said you are right I have trust issues in my life but this is also true that you have become an integral part of my life so I have to make a choice between my insecurities and you and I have made it. He was waiting for her answer she looked at him and said it's you Uma I love you and want you in my life. I am happy when you are around and when you are not I wait for you. I can't deny you in my life. She come close to him and kissed him and said I love you Umashankar Toshiwal. They hugged. After some days were beautiful for both of them she felt secure with him they dated have dinner together and uma shared his happiness with ved as well. Ved was happy for his friend and refer Kanak as sister in law. Uma and Kanak shared their dreams . kanak said that she loves him but that doesn't mean that she will left everything she will complete her studies and will become an entrepreneur. Uma said okay you can and don't worry I am with you and now everything belongs to us. Uma presented her a gold bracelet. He said I always thought you to give it. It's my heart which is now in your hands keep it safe. She said she will always keep it.

When she was back in hostel her uncle was wait for her. He greeted her and said you know I have inquired everything about your higher studies you will be an alumni of Oxford university and after that you will be capable of running your own business and I have meet you teachers as well they said as of now you are not taking your studies seriously you have not completed your project yet and missed your classes as well. He asked what happened are you not fine. He come close to her and notice a bracelet which has a heart and initial of K&U. He asked what is this Kanak. Kanak replied uncle there is someone in my life and I love him. Mahesh was depressed he said I thought you are a very focused girl how much I have planned for you but you like every other girl are in your own Fantasyland. I have not expected this from you. Kanak said uncle he is not like other guys he is very genuine and honest and love him he has not forced me anyway and I know I have neglected my studies but this won't be happen in future I assure you. I will take care of everything . Mahesh said they all appear very nice and genuine but they are not believe me I have tasted it yamini was also very nice but now we know her how she is and this is not what I have planned for you I wanted to see you on top but you have crashed all my dreams. Kanak said it's not like that uncle . Mahesh told her to make choice between him and this new relationship who is with her only for months. She didn't utter a word. Mahesh said okay you made the decision and yes who am I just a guardian not your parents. He was about to leave Kanak stopped him and said uncle you are my everyone and I will choose you always . she cried and hugged him.

Next day was a most difficult day in her life she has to tell her decision to Uma but she can't betray her uncle. She removed her bracelet and handed it to Uma and said my uncle has some dreams for me and that dreams and your love can't be together. One has to leave so I can't take this relationship long please take it back. He was hurt and angry he slapped her and said you are coward you can't stand for something you love. You can't be anyone partner.

Ved wake him up and said I had Inform forensic team to work on the evidence and what are you thinking. Uma replied just some past memories. Ved said that now go and make some new ones she must be waiting for you. And just tell her to come back I am sure she will come. Uma smiled and left. In garden restaurant they met. Kanak was still wearing that bracelet. She asked you called me and said it's personal so what is it. Uma said Kanak it's clear that we can't get over each other so why we are going through this. We both love each other so we should be together again. Kanak said Uma I can't you know the problem and your mom will never accept me not atleast after this murder case. Uma said Kanak you did nothing and I am telling this as an investigating officer you are innocent and killer is just a hand away from me after that I will tell my decision to my mother. She has to accept both of us. He was talking his phone ranged it's Massisa. Uma put it on speakers Massisa said Uma you wanted to get married ASAP so I have searched a girl for you. You just come back and everything will be fixed. Uma was shocked and said I will call later and disconnected the call. Kanak said I think you have made your decision congratulations and left from there.
