Chapter 1

The story revolves around the Toshiwal today her daughter got married and it was the emotional day for everyone. Now Maasa just want his son to be married. Her son Umashankar Toshiwal is a CBI officer though they have their family business but he choose this profession. He is invited for high profile cases or for the cases which are hard to solved. It's a saying that truth can't be hide from his eyes. His sister saras got married and now family pressure is stronger for his marriage. Maasa is upset that he broke his alliance before 1 year maybe he would have got married till now. Massisa assured her that whatever she did was right as the girl was mentally ill and she would have killed someone it's better that we found the truth and broke the alliance now we will search a very beautiful and decent girl for Uma. Maasa said I too want that but he is not ready today his sister got married and tomorrow he is going. Massisa said where. Maasa replied I don't know maybe a case. Massisa said it's okay but atleast we can get his consent for marriage and after that we will start searching for a girl. They both went to his room. Uma was packing his bag as he has a early morning flight.

They both entered he asked what's the matter. I just know that it's important. Massisa asked how do you know that . He said today a marriage completed in our house. Everyone is tired but still you both are here and that too at this hour. So it's important right. Look saras got married now we are alone in this large house so we want someone who will look after us. Uma said okay I will find a maid for you. Massisa said are you going to marry a maid. We want your consent for marriage after that we will start looking for the girl. Uma said Massisa I have told my decision loud and clear. I am not going to marry anyone. Maasa said for what for that mentally retarded girl. It's was all my fault I thought for your betterment and rejected her and now you are punishing me like this way. She started crying. He made her sit on the bed and said it's not your fault you did what you felt right and believe me I am not at all angry it's just my job demands a lot of time and which I will be not able to give after marriage that's the reason nothing else. Massisa said we have our family business so what's the need of such a job. Uma looked at her surprised. He said I am not doing this job for money but for my satisfaction. And if marriage is the problem I will solve it . just start looking for the girl I am ready. Maasa said really. He said yes and never think that it's your fault. It was never .

Massisa said when you will be back. He said right now I am going how much time it will take I don't know. It may take a month as well. Massisa said don't worry I will search a very good girl and better than previous one.

Next morning he waved everyone and sit in the car . it would be a long journey from Mumbai to Ooty was not near. From the bag he take out a ring and thought it was not Maasa fault you break our engagement and irony of the situation you also told the same thing that it is for my betterment. He put the ring back in his bag.

Chapter 2

Uma was sitting in the car. The song Ae ajnabi was playing on the radio. He closed his eyes and all the past memories began to flash in his mind. Their first meeting, their dating, their engagement and breakup. He received a call it was ved. His investigation partner. He said hi have you reached . uma said no on the way. Ved said okay I have reached here come soon. Uma was surprised and asked is the case is so messed . ved said no it's a simple open and shut case but it's a influential case. Hence you are required. He said okay and what about you . ved said what will Sherlock Holmes will do without Dr Watson. Just come soon we will wind it up soon.

Next day Uma reached Ooty ved welcomed him. Govt guest house was ready for them. Ved said finally you given your consent for marriage. Uma said how do you know. He said have you forgotten your sister is married to my brother so eventually I will get all your information. Ved said everyone is happy so I came here atleast someone should be here to share your pain. Uma said who said I am in pain. Ved said your eyes are telling. Uma said I am just tired and she broke up not me it's her lose. And it's before a year so everything is over finished. Understand. Ved said let's see. Uma said okay I get ready and you tell me about the case.

After sometime they had done their dinner and ved started telling him about the case. He said it's a simple case victim use to harass her. She avoided him but he doesn't stop. Everytime in the college was the same for her. She complaint to principal but victim was the son of trustee so nobody can do much but still principal suspended him . In the farewell party he tried to molest her. She was angry and hurt and in the night she went to his house and killed him. Everything is against her. Forensic report, fingerprint and she had motive as well. And most importantly blood stains on her clothes when police arrested her. Uma said so what's the problem. Ved said here the problem lies the accused say that she is a sleep Walker and she has done it unintentionally and we have proof that it's a planned murder. Uma asked how many times she stabbed the victim. Ved said it's 14 times. Uma said it's a planned murder because in sleep walking subconsciously a person know what he is doing though for him it appears like a dream. But here case it's different. She has stabbed him 14 times. The victim must be dead by 4-5 times but she was frustrated so she keep on stabbing him. And now she is covering her act to not to get capital punishment. But still before we jump into any conclusions I want to meet her. Let's hear her side of story. Ved said okay infact I have arrange a meeting tomorrow. Uma said okay so let's go and relax.

Next day they went to jail. She was sitting in the interrogation room. Uma entered the room and was surprised to see Kanak there . More than surprised he was shocked he never imagined that he would meet her again and that too in the jail. She also was surprised. She said what your mother said was right. That someday I will murder someone and look today I am in jail.
