Chapter 3

Uma was shocked to see Kanak in interrogation room. She was surprised too. He didn't understand how to react. He saw her. She was like before cute beautiful and innocent and very shy and reserved girl. To whom he has persuaded a lot and finally she believe him and accepted him. But today reality was different. She was in jail. Her hands in handcuffs and a strange hopelessness on her face like she is waiting for her punishment may be death sentence. She broke their silence and asked how are you. He just came back and said I am fine but what happened to you I mean what is this. She said it's my destiny. He wanted to shout that it's not her destiny she doesn't deserve this but all the happiness in life but he didn't say anything. Ved arrived and asked Uma shall we start questioning. Uma said yes.

They both seated and Uma looked in her eyes and said everything is against you still we want to hear our side of story what's your take. She said after my engagement was cancelled I came here to complete my final year. I met him I mean Rahul on the first day of college. He was ragging some students. He wanted to do same with me but I resisted and disobey him. I thought that it was just a matter of first day and it will be ended. But my real trauma started after that. To punish me he use to put insect in my food. Put garbage outside my room, pass lewd comments on me. Me and my roommate was harassed by him. We also requested him to stop but he wouldn't listen to us. One day when I was alone in library he came and started misbehaving with me. Though he was the son of trustee so one cannot do much but I complaint to principal about this. Principal was also told me to forget as it's my last year and I should concentrate on my studies but I told him if he didn't take any action than she will complain it to ministry as I don't want to do it because I also belong to influential family. Than principal suspended him.

My friend sonal told me that he might take revenge I should take my complaint back. But I was adamant on teaching him a lesson. Last Saturday was our farewell party and he was also there. I didn't look at him but suddenly he came forward and started touching me inappropriately. I couldn't take it I slapped him on his face. Than he forced himself on me. Other people helped me to get rid of him but he torn my clothes. I was embarrassed and ashamed. Sonal took me out of the party to hostel. I called my uncle and told him everything. He assured me that he will be here next morning. Sonal said that everything will be okay. She gave me a sleeping pill and I slept. Next morning I was somewhere else in Rahul bedroom with all blood on my clothes and his dead body was next to me and police arrested me in his murder case. Kanak was sobbing.

Uma offered her water. Ved asked you missed one detail in the party you threaten him to kill him. She said I said that but I was angry and it just came to my mouth. I didn't say it intentionally. He asked and what about sleep walking. She said I do sleep walk sometimes but I don't remember anything. Ved asked do you attack in your sleep walk. She said yes I do. Ved asked to Uma do you want to ask something. Uma said no but don't worry we are here and if you are innocent nothing will happen.

The constable took her back. Ved blasted at Uma. He said what are you saying you told me last night that it's an open and shut case and now you are telling that she is innocent. Uma said last night I didn't know that accused is Kanak. And I know her she cannot murder someone. Ved I want to see all the proofs once again.

You are a good writer. How can you write like this yar? You start scenes just like best cvs and end like that only. Here too we can imagine our kanum's in the scene. In this ved is not her brother. Then for which family does she belongs? As per uma Kanak broke their relationship? Now the question is why did she do so?

Chapter 4

Uma said I want to see all the evidence and want to hear all the witness once again. Maybe we are missing something. Ved said no we are not missing anything but you are missing her. Last night you told me that she is a faded memory and now you are fighting for her. Uma said I will not make my report without it. Ved said okay I will do that. He called everyone.

First her uncle Mahesh arrived. He was shocked to see Uma. He said thank God you are here now atleast you can help me please save my daughter. They are not accepting bail application for her. Uma said relax I am here to hear your side now will you please say about it. Mahesh said that there is nothing to say. She has not told me anything only on Saturday I received a call from her and she said rahul is harassing her and I came next morning to see her arrested. Though it was Sunday the bail couldn't happen and from last 2 days I am trying to bail her out please help me Uma . you know how is life here she will not be able to take it. I am scared. Uma said don't worry as long as I am here nothing will happen to her. Mahesh said thanks son. He left.

Uma called the next witness sonal her friend and roommate. She said whatever Kanak did was right he was a beast and should be killed. He had made her life hell. Uma asked you gave her sleeping pill why. Sonal replied she was tensed and I was having a late night shoot so I gave her that she will sleep properly and next morning her uncle would be there and everything will be resolved. Uma asked apart from you anyone else share your room. She said no only both of us. Uma tell her to go.

Ved showed her all the evidence the knife which had her fingerprint and her night suit with blood stains. Ved said we have done the DNA as well the blood match with the victim. Uma checked everything. Uma asked when the first attack was done why he didn't scream. Ved said as per the report he was high on liquor may be half a bottle of whiskey maybe he was not in senses. And one more thing we have found some drug traces in blood as well. Rahul was a kind of spoil brat . Uma asked does he lived alone. Ved said yes there are only maid and Butler in his house. Uma said I want to meet them as well.

Mahesh and sonal meet Kanak. Mahesh said don't worry I am trying my best I will release you from here. Once Uma will send the report the case will go in court my lawyer will handle everything. Kanak cried and said I can't live here. It's dirty and stinky all the time and jail mates offen harass me. Uncle please take me out of here. I may not survive here everytime I eat something I vomit. She was crying. Sonal said we are trying we are with you don't worry. The constable take her away. Uma saw this from behind but was helpless.

Lovely I can imagine Kanak akaRhea how she would have done justice to this entirely new character and also Avi as Uma helpless but having faith in Kanak. This could have been a fantastic plot of any professional show. Please some one should share this with ph so that they could see how a normal viewer can be an excellent creative writer a far far brilliant than that of their own team. Just waiting for the next chapter. We don't mind a long long story an LS.

Chapter 5

Uma was helpless and frustrated. He came back to his cabin and started throwing files and books down. Ved came there and saw. Uma said why am I so helpless why can't I do anything. She has gone through harassment for almost a year and what I was doing nothing. I wish I was here I would have chopped his hands first time itself when he tried to touch her. And ved can't you see how vulnerable she is. Do you think she has to be here. Ved came near to him and said Uma there is nothing much we can do. She is in jail and law is equal for everyone. And you think that she is innocent so work on that. Right now that's the best way to help her. And I am sorry I doubt on you. Just tell me what is the next step. I want her to out of here. This is not a place for her. Ved said but how you will do that. I will think of something.

Kanak was trying to eat food and again she vomited. She said I can't eat it. Warden said if you can murder someone than its not so hard. Just finish it we have other work as well and she left. Kanak was crying again. Uma came there and saw her. He console her. He said that I will help you. She said if you want to help me make sure that I get a death penalty not a life imprisonment. He said nothing. He offered her chocolate to eat and left from there.

At night when he was checking the evidence once again he received a call that Kanak has fainted and they have taken her to hospital. He said I am coming. Ved said congratulations your idea worked. Now atleast for some days she will be in peace. He also said congratulations to you too. You were right. He said what for. Uma said that I can't stop loving her and she will always be in my heart. Ved smiled and said but remember no one else should know that or they will give this case to someone else. He said I will take care.

Uma reached hospital and asked the doctor about her condition. Doctor said she is out of danger right now but after full check up they can say something. He saw here. She was sleeping peacefully. He put her hair back on her ears. He remembered the day when he proposed her.

Flashback

Uma was sleeping on bed. And Kanak just came out of restroom. She saw him. She tried to wake up but he was not ready. She said good morning time to rise and shine. He was not listening and grabbed her back to bed. She said she has to go back to hostel please wake up. He said I don't want to go you make my life beautiful infact when I am with you nothing bothers me. And I love this way. She kissed him and came over him. And started kissing him on his shoulder and face. He asked want to make out once again. She said no infact I will not be able to meet you till one month. He said why. She said Uma from next month I am having my exams and I want to top this year as well so I want to concentrate on my studies and don't want to get distracted. He said what I will do without you. I can't spend a moment and you are asking for one month. She said Uma please try to understand uncle wants me to concentrate on studies and not on anything else. He doesn't know that I have a boyfriend. He said okay but on one condition. She said what. He said I am tired of this boyfriend status I want to marry you. So if you give your consent I am ready to wait my whole life. She moved and settled side. He said don't you think that we should get married. She said Uma right now I am just in second year my final year is still pending and we know each other for 8-9 months. He said yes if I ask you same thing after 2-3 years will it be fine. And I am not asking you to get married right now but once your studies are over than we can get married. Is that right. She said nothing. He asked Kanak atleast say something. She said you know how people propose in a movie with a ring flowers and may be a soft toy they bend on knees and asked the girl. And my boyfriend half naked still on bed lazy bones is proposing me in this way . what should I say. He said if that's a problem I just solve it. He raised put down his clothes and bend on his knees and said Kanak I love you since I saw you. You make me complete and my life beautiful. I want to be with you every moment will you be my partner for rest of my life. She smiled and kissed him. He said should I take it as yes. She nodded her head.

Uma still smiled on past memories. Ved came there and said reporters are there we have to answer them. He was surprised.
