Uma held Kanak's hand as they thanked the lorry driver and waved goodbye.
They were lucky enough to have found a lift home after spending a beautiful night together taking their relationship to the next level.

Walking towards the door they looked around at the many people in white, a picture of Uma and Kanak sat in the middle of the room, a garland lay upon it.

"Maasi sa what is this" asked Uma
Maasi sa turned swiftly "Uma, Kanak youre both alive"
Kanak grabbed Nanda's hand "hold on, why did you think we were dead"


Nanda stood back, "what are you trying to say Kanak"
"We were away for what, maybe 2 days and you assume we're dead"
"Kanak, thats enough" Uma turned to Kanak


Kanak rolled her eyes "shes lying again, you have to admit this doesn't make sense"
"Kanak i wont tell you again to not talk about Maasi sa like that"
Nanda wiped away a tear "its okay Uma, what can we expect outsiders to understand"

Uma sighed heavily "that outsider is my wife"

A week had gone past after Kanak and Nanda's confrontation , although Kanak realised that Uma had stuck up for her.
She couldn't help but feel like she would lose Uma if he continued to take Nanda's house.

Kanak pinched some sindoor in her fingers, lifting her hand, she watched Uma look into the mirror to catch her eye.

After applying her sindoor she pushed her bangles onto her wrists and turned around to face him.

"Are you still not going to talk to me" Uma asked as he grabbed her wrist
Kanak grabbed her wrist and walked away


Uma caught Kanak stood in the kitchen.
Uma coughed loudly, Kanak still faced the other way
Uma coughed again, Kanak turned to face him, glaring.

"Why are you still mad at me" Uma asked
Kanak turned to walk away "by the time you work it out, it will be to late"

As Uma stood in the kitchen alone, he couldn't help but feel that something really bad would happen soon.

"Kanak Bhabisa can you get the phone "shouted Suman
Kanak held the phone to her ear "hello "


"Kanak dont come here" shouted Ved
"Ved bhaiya are you okay, Ved" Kanak shouted
"Sh sh sh Kanak, they will be okay if you do a little job for me" laughed Aditya

"Dont you dare hurt them Aditya"
"Its simple, theres a package underneath the house under a border, you have 45 minutes to find it and bring it to me at your house or they all die" with that Aditya cut the phone


Kanak ran outside, looking everywhere to find the package, 23 minutes had passed when she finally found it and called for a rickshaw to pick her up.
She had 12 minutes to arrive when the rickshaw stopped in traffic.


Jumping out she ran, as fast as she could.
2 minutes, she saw Aditya, handing him the package "please where is my family"
Aditya smiled before standing back and throwing a match at the house.

Kanak looked down at the oil on the floor as she ran to get in. Grabbing her around the waist he pulled her back "say goodbye Kanak"
Kissing her on the cheek he pushed her forward as she fell and scrambled up to run into the house.

Hand on her stomach she jumped past a barrier in the way.
Uma stood out from behind the tree as he looked toward Aditya, anger coursed through his veins.

Uma looked toward Bhaboo, Ved, Vansh, Saras, Golu, Rani and Bhabosa walking out of the burning house.
Bhaboo coughed loudly "Uma, Kanak went in the house, you have to save her"

Uma nodded, running towards the house quickly.
Kanak looked around, shouting her families name, when the realisation had hit her.
There was nobody there and it was a trap.

But as she got ready to run out, the side of the wall fell down, pulling her underneath it.

"KANAK" Uma shouted as the fire spread.

It was 2 weeks later when Kanak woke up to beeping sounds.
Opening her eyes she looked around, Uma grabbed her hand.

"Im so sorry Kanak, i should have believed you, i saw what Aditya did and i heard Nanda on the phone to him, Ved is dealing with them now, how will you ever forgive me" Uma wiped away a stray tear as Kanak smiled up at him

"Do you love me Uma" she asked
"More than myself, more than God, more than anything" Uma's words held a promise
"Then i wont give up on you, because i love you to and our baby needs a father" Kanak said as she eyed the sonogram.

*** 2 YEARS LATER***
"Chandana come here" Uma shouted
Chandana ran toward him as he picked her up and spun her around
"Whats all this around your mouth" Uma asked

Chandana giggled as Uma tickled her
"Our little baby had some of my tea" replied Kanak as they laughed.
Shiv walked in from school "ill go get ready quickly for Payal's engagment " he promised as Kanak ruffled his hair

"Ved will treat Payal right wont he" Uma asked
Kanak smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder "itll be a love story just like ours, and even if they have problems at the start like Saras and Vansh, they will fall in love"

Uma nodded as he allowed Chandana to go and play "i think we should go to Switzerland "
Kanak looked confused "To see Palomi"
Uma shook his head "no, for another honeymoon"

Kanak blushed red, after all this time she still hadnt got used to Uma's flirting but thanked Shiv Ji everyday for the handsome, kind and loving man she had the fortune of being with.

It is such a wonderful story.
