Vansh Katha – Episode Thirty
(Continued)
Bindiya: I don't get what you're saying.
Anirudh: Well what I'm trying to say is that now you've shut Manav up completely haven't you?
Bindiya: I don't see how this is going to shut him up. Aggravate him more yes, but shut him up I'm not so sure.
Anirudh: This is exactly what I'm saying Bindiya. If he refuses to shut up now you can always take action. You own that house now.
Bindiya: I do? I do.
Anirudh: Well maybe not technically yet but once the will is made.
Bindiya: Yes but I'm not going to have any sort of say until you know… Dad passes away.
Anirudh: That's true. Which is why I think you have to find a way to make your say count before that. I mean waiting for Charith uncle to die is just inhuman. But if you could have a say while he's still alive…
Bindiya: See now the only way that can happen is if I really own the house.
Anirudh: I think I see a way out for you.
Bindiya: Oh do tell cause right now I'm going pretty insane.
Anirudh: Tell Manav about the will.
Bindiya: WHAT? That is just asking for trouble.
Anirudh: Well this is the only way you're ever going to find out if Charith and Kaveri are legit in their way of doing things right. If Manav makes an issue after he finds out, you will know for sure where the two of them stand in this issue.
Bindiya: That's true though. OK but how do I tell Manav when mummy ji specifically asked me not to tell him about it.
Anirudh: You make him want the house.
Bindiya: How?
Anirudh: You start taking control around the house and drive him to a point where he will want the house for written for himself. Then the truth will come out all on its own.
Bindiya: Brilliant.
(Tariksha's Office)
Nithika: You wanted to see me mam?
Tariksha: Oh please call me Tariksha. You're Nithika right?
Nithika: Yes mam… I mean Tariksha. Nithika Patel.
Tariksha: Can I ask you a question?
Nithika: Sure.
Tariksha: Are you by any chance related to a Bindiya Patel?
Nithika: As a matter of fact I am. She is my Jethani.
Tariksha: Now isn't that something? The reason I asked is because one of my friends happened to mention her name the other day and I was wondering if the two of you were related… And this would mean that you know a certain Charith Patel as well?
Nithika: Of course. He's my father in law.
Tariksha: Very interesting. Please Nithika sit down, let's have a chat about work shall we?
Nithika: Yes of course.
(Devyani and Vansh are on the phone)
Vansh: I'm tired of playing these little games. I want to go in for the kill now!
Devyani: Vansh you need to calm down. Things have to be done very carefully son.
Vansh: I know but getting Gupta and Vidhya out of the way was so easy.
Devyani: They were not family people. It was easier to target them first because no one is going to put up a fight for them unless they really believe that they're innocent.
Vansh: Nithika almost did.
Devyani: And that's exactly why we're keeping her occupied remember? Now you just settle down and relax. Let Bindiya do her thing and in a few days from now, Charith will be taken care of. But there's one more thing that I just thought of.
Vansh: Which is?
Devyani: At some point when we do accomplish our mission with Charith, he's going to turn to Sidharth and Poornima for help.
Vansh: You're right.
Devyani: So it's important to burn those bridges right now so that Charith won't have anyone to turn to.
Vansh: I'll get on that right away.
(Nithika's Office)
Raket: Hi.
Nithika: Hey come in.
Raket: So did you meet boss?
Nithika: Yea she's really nice.
Raket: Yea I heard on the grapevine that you guys really hit it off.
Nithika: Introduce me to this grapevine sometime so that I can be part of it too.
Raket: Deal. Right then, do you have lunch plans?
Nithika: Actually yea I do, I was planning on meeting my friend Anirudh for lunch.
Raket: Oh ok… How about dinner then?
Nithika: Dinner???
Raket: Oh right what am I saying, you probably have to go home and have dinner with your husband.
Nithika: Actually my husband is not in the dinner mood anymore and comes home really late and I end up eating all by myself anyway so yes we are good for dinner.
Raket: Excellent.
(Garden Caf)
Anirudh: You're meeting him for dinner?
Nithika: Why not? He's a really good friend and lately he seems to be the only one I can talk to about anything apart from you.
Anirudh: Yea but that doesn't mean you have dinner with him. What will Manav think?
Nithika: Manav already has a huge issue with everything I do so I really don't care.
Anirudh: Nithika do you want this marriage to work out or don't you?
Nithika: I really do. But what else does he expect me to do now? He's not the man I married Anirudh!
Anirudh: Then you should be spending time with him trying to find that man don't you think?
Nithika: Ok can you please stop sounding like you're my dad?
Anirudh: Sorry. I'm just concerned.
Nithika: Anyway, Raket has cancelled a whole heap of other stuff just to have dinner with me and I can't ask him to reschedule now so…
Anirudh: It's your life…
Unknown to the two of them, Tariksha was watching them from a distance.
Tariksha: How strange. In the morning mama introduces me to Vansh and they talk about the Patels. Later I meet yet another Patel who happens to be working for me who is also related to the two Patels that mama and Vansh were talking about. Now in the afternoon Vansh is having lunch with the same Patel who works for me. What the hell is going on here?
(Devyani and Raket are on the phone)
Raket: Lunch has been transformed into dinner, that's what's going on.
Devyani: Raket I didn't know you had it in you to charm a girl like that.
Raket: I should be charging you extra, this one is married.
Devyani: Oh shut up. Now listen Vansh is not all that comfortable with what is happening between you and Nithika so remember that when I tell you to stop you have to disappear.
Raket: Oh so you want me to be a heartbreaker now?
Devyani: This is not funny Raket. You need to tell me when Nithika is full of work so you can stop putting the charm on her because my only aim here is to get her mind off other things.
Raket: Like her husband?
Devyani: Shut up Raket and do your damn job!
(Charith's House – the phone rings)
Kaveri: Hello?
Voice: Listen to me very carefully Kaveri Devi.
Kaveri: Who is this?
Voice: That is not your concern. What is however is that your younger bahu will be dining with another man tonight.
Kaveri: What rubbish! And who is this and how dare you call here with all this nonsense!
Voice: It may well sound like nonsense to you right now but be at the Garden Caf at seven this evening and you'll see the truth.
The line went dead and Kaveri was upset.
(Singhania Mansion)
Poornima: Why didn't Charith tell us something sooner?
Sidharth: I don't know but he's telling us now and I think we should do something to help.
Poornima: Like what Sidharth? You know how stubborn Nithika is, she's not going to listen to us.
Sid: But we have to try at least. Can you stand to see your daughter's marriage on the rocks?
Poornima: No but in your own words the problem here is with Manav and not Nithika.
Sid: That's true but Nithika's job is just adding fuel to the fire.
Poornima: We tried to stop her from getting a job and she just didn't listen now did she?
Sid: But we have to do something else then…
Poornima: If you have any ideas I'm really open to them.
(That evening at the Garden Caf)
Nithika: I really appreciate you taking care of me like this Raket.
Raket: It is my pleasure.
Nithika: I need to ask you something.
Raket: Go ahead.
Nithika: You won't do anything to damage our friendship will you? I mean I've found in you this awesome person who I can turn to in my time of need and I just don't want you to hurt me in any way. I don't think I can take that right now.
Raket stopped to think about what she had said for a moment and for a second all the moments he had shared with her just flashed before his eyes. Then he told himself…
Raket: What the hell is happening to me? Why do I suddenly feel this way about Nithika?
Nithika: Raket are you alright?
Raket: (Aloud) Oh what? Yes I'm fine, absolutely. You don't have to worry about a thing. I will never let you down Nithika.
He reached out and touched her hand to reassure her and from the other end of the street Kaveri was watching this scene unfold from the comfort of her very own car.
Kaveri: Driver, let's go home.
And unknown to Kaveri, the person who called her was sitting in yet another car behind her.
Vansh: I'm so sorry Nithika… I did everything I could to save your marriage. I didn't want this to be about you because I want revenge on Charith, not you. It would be difficult to understand this situation now but when Kaveri starts out the fireworks at home, then my plan will be much clearer. My intention was never to hurt you Nithika, but in this war, some targets have to be sacrificed in order to attack others. Enjoy your dinner.
On the Next Vansh Katha
Nithika arrives home for the biggest showdown ever.
