A competitive exam to become an actor??

Just a hypothetical question..
What if there was an independent body - a Commission like UPSC and a 3 month "exam" , where actor hopefuls would be auditioned continuously, sifted to short-list them based on series of auditions. And then 1 month of exam with different dates for following qualifications -

1) Dance
2) Voice modulation - dialogue delivery
3) Body Language - silent acting, modelling, photography, advertising
4) Some other auditions to test the actor-hopefuls spontaneously?

and so on, you get the idea.

This exam would be conducted like once a year, with 10 winners - the rest can apply for next year, and no age limit?

And only the ones(irrespective of filmy/non-filmy background) who pass this difficult exam would be "eligible" for acting in motion pictures.

Don't laugh at this silly idea, let's discuss 😛

Politics, human politics can sadly never be controlled.. but atleast we'd see good actors? :-)

😆 Indian Acting Servants !!
There's no harm in dreaming that .
Govt has to give them salary, pensions and make movies to keep them employed !!
There could be BW as "private sector" and the other as Public sector !!
All public sector movies will have fixed release dates and they have to be allocated some number of screens .
Imagine KJo and Company whining about too much govt control in art 😆

I was just joking about Indian Acting Servants and didn't intend it to be a public sector thing, but doesn't sound like a bad idea 😛

there are many good actors who graduate from acting schools and go through exams and lot of training. It's just we don't see them in feature films but they are there.. most of them doing theatre.
