But Dev's weakness is not a drinking or smoking problem, it is his mother, who has the ability to make life-changing decisions in his life, without caring for the other people who are part of his life.

If we talk about Dev then it was not Ishwari who asked him to breakup nor the one who asked him to follow Sona after breakup .In both the cases it was Dev who took the decision for Ishwari ,Sona and him .Sona is equally important in his life so he won't repeat the same mistake again .If he wants something he will not give up easily and I doubt he would ever allow Ishwari to control his love life

My question was, if you knew that your future depended on the whims and fancies of a third person who has complete control over your life-partner, what will you do? Ishwari is not Dev's weakness, she is his decision-maker, around whom his life revolves.

I am already into such relationship and to certain extent every guy is a mama's boy .Just like my husband I am protective of my parents .We have found a middle ground and I am happy with my decision . Yes, it was not an easy journey but I don't regret any of my decisions.

For a marriage to break apart from MIL issue there can be several other problems like infidelity, abusive husbands,alcoholic,perverts.Leading a life with a person with a above qualities is much more torturous than dealing with insecure MIL .Atleast we know Dev is not such a kind of person.

You can love a person like Dev but can you spend your entire life with him?

No but in reality it us hard to understand before marriage .

NOOo.. no girl with a brain and some amount of self worth would 😆 He is good looking, rich... but still a big price to pay to be with a manchild like Dev!

My MIL fits in same category.. not as much but she is right there and its hard work dealing with her. But my hibby makes up for it cause he is not immature baby like Dev so the challenge becomes a bit eqsier.
