My honest request to all those who think they have control on this is - pls don't b overconfident
I have seen plenty of such literally fallen in bad marriages.

Only hope is let's pray no one get as bad a mother in law like Ishwari Coz there is a very little percentage of boys who are not mamma boy..
If ur love is strong ... U can move mountains..

Am already married - so no point asking this Q-

I am having an Ishwari MIL n a very shallow Dev / what I meant is devotion to mom is strong not romantic like Dev but is a nice person at heart.

I can leave him and go - what will I get? Oh no, I feel divorce is not any liberation it is running away from ur own life purpose n responsibilities.
It's hurting me to live with such a person- but we all serve a life purpose - and this is mine - so is Sona
Dev is a nice person. God sends her to his life to heal him- to show him what real love means and ofcourse to be a better person.

Life n love both are a journey, not a destination!

Boys who do not question - wife suffers and its again a problem.

IN either case problems are there and its mainly the guy who has to act smartly and be a bridge - for happy life.

BTW - have you observed that if the MIL is not alive but FIL is alive - non of the problems exist😆😆😆

Actually, Dev doesn't have weaknesses, he is a remote controlled device. It would be hard to be married to a remote controlled device whose functionality you know will not be guaranteed! IF A girl is looking for a life partner why would she settle down with a remote controlled device?

Never, i would run away to another part of world from a person like Dev.
Because, i truly beileve Love is combination of trust, friendship and respect.
We need a person who fight for us like a true friend , stand by us.
we need a person who respect us, even after finding a low point.
we need a person who can trust us not blindly, but enough to give a chance of doubt.

N Dev does not qualify any of the these. I don't even see true love here. Its just a typical love.

Plus, if you think i am believing in a fairy story then i have to say i don't, i have seen people in "TRUE LOVE", who perfectly fits this definition.(IN REAL LIFE) , they are rare but there are some.

N Dev is none, even if was one of this. I would stand by him.

He is just like a toy, who is being operated by his great GOD. I pity him, but i feel sorry for sona more. Poor girl, she fell in love for this coward.
She has her weak points no doubt in that, but yet she is strong enough to face the reality as well. She can see the right and wrong from her own eyes, her own brains, n above all she has the courage to say things loud which her heart is telling.

I would to see Dev learning from her. I don't want sona to be a typical bahu who keeps trying to fit in the family. No that's big no.

PS: Never marry mamma's boy. Its the worst thing you can do to your self.

My cousin has similar problem, but she sometimes finds really smart way of dealing them. Many times she can't . I can understand what you are talking about. It actually needs more courage to face this all by your self.
I would say be smart and counter her😆.

A cutie like Dev, I would be tempted. But in the end, the stress is not worth it. You cannot reason with people like Ishwari and Radha Rani, and an entire life time of taunts and compromise on account of such irrational behavior is seriously not worth it.

So, the most difficult answer, but the answer is still NO!

Instead of Yes or No, I would like to say i will follow my heart instead of running away from my feelings. If you exactly want an answer then its YES. There is nothing called right decision or wrong decision. Every ones decisions depends on their perspective about life, priorities & past experiences. Perfect life partner thought itself is a myth guys. No one is perfect, not U and not ME then why are we looking for perfectness in our partner.
Love marriage case is little better at least both will have little understanding about each other but when you go with arranged marriage then its like a gambling.😆 Life is not a bed of roses & its full of challenges guys. One should own their actions & put efforts to change their destiny instead of blaming others for consequences. Without struggles one cant find their actual strength.
