It's getting a bit fuzzy. Can't tell what's real and what's a dream in this show. This one episode has told me that my mind will be messed with like never before. Emotions are another matter. I don't usually give in to them. Not for a soap anyway.
Sandy's sudden all knowing, all smirking avatar is quite unnerving. Unnerving for Suraj that is. He gets the oil going on the fire, adds first ingredient, then goes looking for the second. I'm not a sweet making expert, but I doubt you can be that disorganised if you want to produce the best end product. It must irk him to have the energizer bunny constantly at his side. Or is it the eager beaver...hard to settle on a name coz this one is a sari clad do gooder. But good that he's losing his mind now. How long can he keep several versions of himself straight in his head. One day soon, he'll sob with relief in her arms that he no longer needs to be 2 men.
Meena has a dream. It's a cartoonish one. Usually villains are intelligent specimens but not here. Not today. She has too many facial contortions happening and contrasted with Sandy's stoic 'bring it on' expression, it looks quite alarming. I switched off for a minute and next thing, three people are on the floor, Meena has muh kaala-ed herself ... and it's not a dream?
Sandy meanwhile is decorating the house with Meena's saris. The moment she's on a rickety stool held by Chotu, we all know what's about to happen. BG score goes all suspenseful. The phone, the artist who doesn't appear in the opening credits of the show, rings on cue. So she falls, he's there to break the fall, they fall in slow-mo and are draped lovingly by sari-curtain. Bed made in middle of the darbar hall of the Rathi palace. Watched on by Chotu. All SurYa moments are watched and certified by a witness. Usually Chotu, but Meena does too.
So I was looking at Sandy's saris. The ones she wears, not hangs. She was in the one she gets thrown out in. Guests arrive. But all have to pause for the DABH anthem, while Suraj looks at Sandy. So looks to me like she changes into blue for the song, then what...changes back into green throwing out sari scene? Or... is the throwing out scene a 'dream'. Meena's dream made me wonder whether lots of things are dreams in the coming days.
I have no clue.
Edit add: I won't be visiting the Rathi house any time soon. Not if I want a glass of water to slake my thirst that is. I'm sure I'll be welcomed by everyone and shown to a chair. But by the time Sandy brings a tray and looks at Suraj and Bhabo looks at Sandy and Suraj, and the DABH anthem is played, I'd be parched and needing an ambulance.
