The Punjabi members on this forum mus tknow that Kapoor's are not Punjabi but they are Hindu. The last name of Hindhu's are
: Sharma, Malhotra, Malik, Shah, Devgan, Kumar, Mukerji, Choudary, Chakarwarty, Tanwar, AND MANY MORE INCLUDING KAPOOR
Please directors stop this nonsence !! Im getting tired of this !!

Kapoors are punjabis! I am a punjabi and confirm that. May be you are getting confused between Sardar Punjabis (who follow Sikhism) and Mona Punjabis (who follow Hinduism). There are common surnames between both Sikh and Hindu punjabis at times, and some that are exclusive. But Kapoors are definitely punjabis. And, at my home, we speak half hindi and half punjabi - because we grew outside Punjab, and the younger generation is more accustomed to hindi while the older generation still uses punjabi. So this is completely fine.

Not entirely true. Alot of hindus live in Panjab and they do speak panjabi but many speak hindi also. Kapoor last name is originally from panjab(I could be wrong) Raj kapoor's family is also panjabi as most of the other Kapoor's are.
Last name you gave are for Sikh people not for Panjabi. As I said, alot of Hindus, Muslims live in Panjab as well

Punjabi is not a religion. People having ancestral roots in Punjab are called Punjabi irrespective of their religion (hindu, sikh, muslim, christian and others). The punjabi last names you have metioned are mostly for followers of Sikhism.
Sharma, Malhotra, Malik, Devgan, Kumar etc are Hindu last names/surnames and they can be punjabi too. Same way Kapoor is a hindu last name but punjabis and non punjabis both have it. Hope this helps😊.

What do you mean by Kapoors are Hindus not Punjabis? Punjabi is not a religion. Punjabis are people who originally belonged to Punjab. Are Gujaratis not Hindus? Are Bengalis not Hindus?

Kapoors are both Punjabi speaking and Hindi speaking. Kapoors from Punjab region are Punjabi and there are some Kapurs from UP, Delhi and other areas who are Hindi speaking but mostly Kapoors are Punjabis.

LOL, go tell Rishi and Randhir Kapoor they are not Punjabis, they will prove you wrong 😆

On a serious note, I think you are confusing religion with region. Kapoors are Punjabi by region, Hindu by religion. I am not a Kapoor but I am a Hindu Punjabi. All Punjabis are not Sikh.

And in my family, we speak Hindi, Punjabi AND English. Does not mean I am Sikh or Christian, or that because I don't speak Hindi exclusively, I am not a Hindu either.
