Bachelor parties - Male and Female

Its been long since I last posted a topic in here. I always feel that this place is open for meaningful discussion on relevant topics of facing the society. I was watching a movie named "Hattrick", and saw a Hen Party being organized in the most 'normal' way. Which really got me thinking...

BACHELOR PARTIES!
... Are they OK? ...

For the male, the bachelor party is supposed to be organized by his friends. They are supposed to keep it a surprise! In these parties, the groom is made to enjoy(?) everything that might not be acceptable after marriage. This includes drinking, gambling, dancing and hiring a stripper for the night!

For the female, bachelor parties are also known as 'Hen parties'. In such parties the women are supposed to do more or less the same as the men. Drink, Dance, Gamble, Hire a Male Stripper. Do everything that might be classified as unacceptable after marriage by the spouse.

Bachelor parties and Hen Parties are increasingly popular in the Metropolitan cities of India (such as Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. The men and women who are just about to get married and pulled and teased by their friends to drink nuts, or sometimes do something otherwise considered 'sinful' in traditional Indian culture.

Although 'One Night Stands Pre-Marriage' is not that much popular yet, still it is not an unknown concept among Indian men and women.

My curiosity towards this whole even is this:

How acceptable are bachelor parties? Are they really something entertaining? Who would I (as a future husband) like to do something that my wife or any pure soul would disapprove just prior to a new beginning?

Or is it an important part of any 'Modern Society'??

I wonder.... what do you say?

I think the basic concept is "do things that you always were curious about and would not get a chance to do it again if your spouse disapproves it"
and you get to customize it based upon whatever fits into your criteria
Key part is having a set of friends who know what you think and are open minded enough to throw that party for you
The only ground rules we had for our group were, no phones, no cameras, no camcorders and whatever happens stays there and doesnt get discussed and thankfully now that everyone is married so no more of the splitting headaches after these parties😆

So describe your bachelor party chal_phek_mat ...?

For me, I had no bachelor party infact. For that matter, I married a girl who is not Indian (she is a Swed). She didnt have anything of that kind either. Just not that kind of people ... although nothing against ppl who would like to do things they basically know are disapprovable otherwise, and not very healthy to be discussed later in life! I personally find that very discomforting and hipociritical (no offense meant).

I dont see the point in doing something you know could haunt you later in life. And if you approve of doing it once its quite likely you will approve doing it again given a chance ...so there !!

hmmm why do you think it will haunt you later in the life if you did whatever you wished you did?
on the contrary lot many people regret they did not do X or Y just because they didnt get a chance or didnt have the guts or didnt have an opportunity isnt that a worser thing to do?
