The lines kept coming again and again to Balwinder Pandey's mind. He was slowly recovering from his wounds but those wounds were physical only. The mental wounds, which were created on that fateful evening, were far from recovery. For last few months, the whole Pandey niwas and its inhabitants are going through turmoil. Dhruv and his relation was always complicated but Bihaan, Balwinder Pandey loves him like his own flesh and blood. Bihaan was everything a father's heart craves. He was obedient, jovial and his world revolved around his parents. Yes, his family was completed even before bihaan came to their life but bihaan brought a gust of fresh winds and light to the home. Dhruv was always quiet, studious and good boy. He never failed to obey his parents in any matter. But Bihaan was naughty, mischievous and full of fun. Whenever he was out of the house, the Pandey niwas would like a river near the sea but as soon as he entered home, he would turn it to a rapid, a waterfall. If Dhruv was gentle breeze, Bihaan was cyclone and if Bihaan was gentle tune then Bihaan was the beat of a dholak. They balanced his world with their respective nature. Balwinder Pandey was content as he has created a perfect world for himself.

Then Dhruv fell in love and Vasundharaji decided to get him married with the girl, Thapki. Thapki is a sweet child, polite, compassionate and caring. But the fate played an evil trick and everything changed. The woman with whom Balwinder Pandey built the home was the one who destroyed it. Balwinder knew that Vasu is not entirely evil. But just as one flaw prevented Draupadi and four Pandavas to reach swarglok by themselves, just one fatal flaw made Vasundhara Pandey a heartless woman. She never accepted Bihaan whole heartedly. Yes, she can't be accused of keeping him starved or without care but her whole word revolved around Dhruv and Dhruv only. She wanted everything perfect for her Dhruv and when it came to choose his bride, how could she let any girl marry her? Thapki was perfect from every sense except the fact that she stammers. Everyone thought that Vasu ignored the fact whereas it was later found that she was unaware of it. Everyone was happy. Balwinder happily embraced Thapki to be his daughter in law. But Bihaan, his Bihaan repeatedly tried to break the marriage and at the end, he himself married Thapki just to prevent Dhruv from marrying a stammering girl. And it changed everything for ever. From the marriage till now, nothing is right in the house and nobody is happy. Everyone from both the family including himself abused, blammed and cursed Bihaan for his misdeed. Dhruv refused to speak to Bihaan even now and he married a girl as vile as Shradha. Bihaan never defended himself and endured every insult silently. But just when everything about his and Thapki's relation was going to over, Thapki refused to get divorced. And his son fell in love with her. Just when balwinder thought that everything is going to be alright, fate played another trick. It was found that Thapki lied about giving Bihaan a second chance.

No doubt, Bihaan who was in love will try to go far from her. Thapki didn't accept him as her husband and when he thought that she was giving him a second chance, she lied to know a truth. And that truth shattered the whole family once again. Bihaan could not tell anyone why he was blamming on that cursed evening. How could he tell anyone why she lied to him. After all he was saving his mother, that mother, who never accepted him whole heartedly. When Shradha's fake pregnancy truth cane up, she in revenge informed everyone that Thapki stayed there to know some truth regarding her marriage. Dhruv at once got alerted and after much persuasion, suddenly Vasu declared that it is she who is at fault. It is her who forced Bihaan to break Dhruv's marriage. When he failed in that, Vasu blackmailed him to take Dhruv's place in the mandap. It was for her that Bihaan kept numb and when he came to know that Thapki lied to him to stay in PN to know the actual reason, it broke his heart. He became rough with her and in an impulse, he pushed Thapki when the family reached home.

Balwinder regareded Thapki as his daughter. He still does. He couldn't blame her for Bihaan's heartbreak but he couldn't either forgive her for pushing Bihaan to his limit. But the person he will never forgive is himself. Whenever he closes his eyes, the scene replays in his mind.

"I took you from road but you belong only there!"

"I heard that upbringing is important but you proved my upbringing wrong!"

"You failed me, Bihaan Pandey!"

What would that poor soul think? He was again and again blammed for doing the wrong deed with Thapki. He never complained. His heart broke and the reason was Thapki. Bihaan was plain clear. He again and again sought apology from Thapki. He stood by her side when nobody was there for her. He left the family to prove her right. He, he took a bullet in his chest just save her honour. And when Thapki broke his trust that she is giving him a second chance and want to compile the marriage, Bihaan was pushed into his limit. But the final straw was drawn when the family preferred Thapki over him. He asked again and again that see his pain, his hurt but nobody paid attention.

"I am a dog and such a ill fated that no one believes in its loyality."

Bihaan was right. He couldn't tell the reason why he was angry with Thapki. It would have exposed Vasu. And that resulted into his accident and Bihaan's nervous breakdown.

Balwinder didn't hate Vasu for the happenings. It was fate. But he couldn't either tolerate her near him. Every time he sees his wife, balwinder Pandey remembers the agony in Bihaan's face. Every time he sees her, he remembers her selfishness. Even though she was taking care of Bihaan, he heart is looking for ways to amend Dhruv's life. Balwinder Pandey was disgusted at her attempt to make Thapki marry Dhruv.

A few days ago

It was a sunny afternoon. He was going to the terrace to get some fresh air when he heard the sobbing. Vasu and Thapki were talking but both of them were crying.

"It was not your fault at all. Stop blaming yourself Thapki. It was I who destroyed both my sons' lives and yours." Vasu said to Thapki.

"No ma. I took long time to forgive Bihaan and look where I pushed him. Dhruvsir is also in pain. Shradha can stoop so low to escape your wrath that she lied about the baby"

Vasu sighed. She took a few minutes before answering Thapki. " Thapki, after thinking for so many days, I concluded one thing. As I did this mess, it would me who will manage it and I thought of a great idea to clear all this."

Thapki excitedly asked, " sacchi ma? Please speak soon."

"Thapki, will you marry my Dhruv? I know every problem was created after I stopped your marriage. And if you two get married now, everything will be all right. I mean, Bihaan would understand that Dhruv and you love each other. And waise bhi, he doesn't remember you at all. Thapki, will you?"

Both Thapki and balwinder were shocked. Balwinder was disgusted that after all the dramnas, she could think of only her son when his son was sinking to nothingness? He was about to shout when Thapki's answer stopped him.

"No ma. Dhruvsir and I loved each other. Not now, not in future. Because I am in love with my husband and I'll wait for him to be fit. I realised late that he loved me and I too have fallen in love a long time ago."

Vasu understood Thapki. Balwinder thanked her silently. Atleast Thapki had the courage to declare her feelings openly.

He forgave Thapki to some extent that day. Thapki loves his son and soothed his heart to some extent. But the pain, the screams and the mental situation Bihaan was undergoing are enough to keep balwinder Pandey awake at nights.

Balwinder was lost in his thoughts when a scream echoed in every corner of the house.
