Things are a bit better, hope it stays that way. 😕😳 Missed you, Nynu, Saku and the others so very much, too!
Now what can I say about Untamed...spent a fascinating time reading through all the chaps yesterday night. One unintended advantage of my sabbatical was being able to read all the chaps so far at one go. 😃
Captivating ebb and flow to the story, Lucky. Sunny here, like I mentioned in my brief post above, is such a stark, wonderful portrayal. Much like an uncut, unpolished ruby in the rough----not being chiseled to an artificial perfection, perhaps, but who is multi faceted all the same; and whose value and intrinsic, sterling brilliance are all the more captivating because of that. A real force of nature you have portrayed him to be.
I love Swara's sheer force of will in this fic, her steady mind and heart and her determined confidence in the sheer power of her love for Sanskaar, and in his adoration for her. She is truly the Shakti to Sanskaar's Shankar here----if you have seen Baahubali--The Conclusion (which I am sure you must have by now 😃)-- the SwaSan bond here evoked for me, all the feels of the magical Amarendra---Devasena equation there. A cosmic union of equals, elemental, powerful and undeniable.
The tempestuous flow of the story, the eddy and flow of the current and the tidal wave of challenges which the lead pair meet and surmount---gave this fic an epic flavor which I really liked. Sunny's pain and insecurities of being an orphan, his sense of being beholden to the family that had taken him in, his insecurity that Swara might deserve a better life than what he could give her---all portrayed very well indeed. Swara's yearning to assure him that he was all she needed, no material comforts or their absence could matter so long as she had him by her side---sigh. She is trying so very hard to make him see that, but Shomi's cutting words, layered on Sunny's own insecurities have made him too ambitious and driven for success----success which he imagines will make him, finally, 'worthy' of the woman he adores so fiercely. If he only accepted how much she loved him unconditionally in return, without all the trappings of wealth...ðŸ˜
As was sullen role played by Ragini, driven by her own jealousy and insecurity, which gave way to her intrinsic love for her sister and her very real repentance. It was all so logical, the way her love for Lucky and Lucky's own clear sighted perspective on the SwaSan bond made Ragini see the error of her ways. And Sujoy was a delight, reminded me of my own beloved elder bro. Bade Bhai's are always a very precious part of one's life. 😊
You know how much I love corporate intrigue and reading about Sunny's clinical, brilliant plans here was a pleasure! And Saahil 😆---Ooh, what a joy it was to have a 3 dimensional antagonist whom one could love to hate---not the teak wood almirah we got on the show. 😆 😈
(BTW you do have a flair with your villains----but my beloved one remains Ronnie the Komodo Dragon/ Veronica Viper---you choose the title! 😈)
Anyway, I could go on and on about this tale---but I am breathlessly waiting to see how SwaSan surmount the latest challenge now to face them. Swara isn't going to tell him about the risks to their prospective pregnancy, I'm sure. 😕 Fingers crossed that all goes well----you won't give us too much pain, will you? 😳
Loads of Love, and Have a marvelous weekend!
