Hey guys...writing an OS. I use to hear such stories from my grandmother in childhood. It's a different genre altogether. ...hope you like it

Lakshya had been an introvert since his childhood. He had been an exceptionally brilliant boy in his school days...Both academically as well as in extra curricular activities. He was extremely handsome with a huge following from the fair gender, but he was never really interested.

He hailed from a high class family and was the only son of his parents. He had always been fascinated by the supernatural in his childhood with his grandmother reading out such stories to him...He would be transported to his own fantasy world after hearing them...he was curious...eager about the inexplicable factors.

It was during one such narrations...when he was in the 2nd standard that he came to know about the Yakshas. The Yakshas were mythical beings with extraordinary powers who were supposed to guard the tresses of the Hindu Lord of wealth Kuber on Earth. He would be fascinated by such narrations.
"The Yakshas could not be differentiated from any human beings. They live on earth like any other human, but with a different motive. A Yakshi (female form) would be an exquisitely beautiful woman with very sharp features..." his grandmother explained..."the Yakshas are otherwise peaceful but should never be angered...as when they look directly into the eyes of a human being they lose their human form and are transformed to Yakshas themselves. They come for fixed duration on earth to guard the treasure of Kuber and when their turn is over they go back and another Yaksha is allotted the work...In other words they are immortal"

Lakshya listened to this interestingly...and asked "so how do you differentiate a human from a yaksha?"

"It's difficult dear"...His grandmother replied lovingly..."if uou spot very carefully one can spot that the only difference between a human and a yaksha is that...The Yakshas have their feet 2 inches above the ground...but the mortal human eyes do not spot them that easily...but if seen very minutely specially on a full moon night it becomes visible"

These stories deeply were engraved in Lakshya's mind.
Lakshya's family was very highly respected in the society and they were a wealthy family.

So when Lakshya reached the age of 24...There were many matches coming for him...but according to his parents none suited him...and neither did he like any of them. He was just waiting for her to come one day.

Then one day while he was driving back from his office...He spotted a girl on a deserted road...she seemed to be ethereal... tall and delicate with black flowing her and dark, piercing eyes. She was wearing a white salwar kameez, which complemented her milk white complexion and contrasted with her jet black hair. Truly, this woman was breathtakingly beautiful...just as those beautiful, unearthly women his grandmother would talk about... He immediately got goose bumps...It was a full moon night

Suddenly she waved her hands to him...signing for a lift. He smiled gently to himself...and drove the car towards her. He halted in front of her...and she just got up in the car without saying anything.

"I am sorry to trouble you...but it's been a long time that I have been standing on this deserted road"...she said panting..."so when I saw your car...I was desperate"

"That's okay Miss. ..."...Lakshya started

" Ragini"...she replied

"That's okay Miss Ragini...but what we're you doing here? So late at night...aren't you scared?" Lakshya asked inquisitive

"No I had some work nearby...but got stuck up..." She replied..."aren't nd no I am a very brave person" she smiled

Lakshya noticed that she looked exceptionally beautiful while smiling...unearthly...magical

Driving the car...He had a feeling that this woman would be his wife. ..He felt that he connected to her for ages together

The journey ended with Ragini asking him to stop near a narrow lane...her residence had apparently come.
" Thank you do much...I don't know how to return your favour...Mr..."...she stopped realising that she didn't know his name as of yet
"Mr Lakshya "..He smiled..."Ragini...no need to return my favour...hope I meet you soon"
"Sure Lakshya...I live just close by. ...you can just come here and ask about me...but due to some reasons...right now I can't give you my contact number or address"...she replied. ...It seemed she was as excited as he was
"I understand"...Lakshya replied..."Good night"...He desperately wanted to feel her touch and smell her fragrance..It was Godly...but knew...It would not be possible.

she turned around to go...Lakshya smiled to himself. ..He looked at her walking...noticing her feet...remembering his grandmother's words...and looked at the full moon.

He smirked
"No...He said to himself...It is going to be difficult"...He noticed that on a full moon night. ..her feet was on the ground. ...she was a human.

He was determined to make her his own...forever...and ever...looking straight into her dark piercing eyes
It wouldn't actually matter to her...she too liked him it seems...so what that she didn't notice ...as no human being would ever do... that his feet would always remain 2 inches above the ground

Concluded.
