Shru this update OMG was beyond any sort of appreciation we are no one atleast me . to judge such an amazing piece of work.👏 I think I missed the pm this time. So replying late. But the way u portrayed it is exceptional.😳 I can't explain the beauty your updates bore. 👏

You began it beautifully , they were so tired coz of riding horse the whole day. Your words gave life to the story. Really amazing, Sanskar is pretending to be rude but he is very protective to her. Awww I really the description of the haveli, I m really u make the history to re live shru. Hehee😆!! That searching of key in pot was something lighthearted. Swara thought he is made for searching it in pot.

She was so sleepy that she stumbled in bed immediately dint even listened too sansakr, I really like your way of portraying swara's perplexity about sanskar's character. I really liked the carefree prince playing with his animal, shru u beautifully define feelings, swara saw him in disbelief. 😳😳

Man beautifully written part was knife one.. I😃 really liked swara's bravery and sanky ka sporty spirit, look I m mad I took it as a game. But anyway it totally took me shru very nice. So sanskar was waiting for pawan, but sushena came, I liked the intro sanskar gave but swara blooped it,but sushena replied well.

I was almost in tears😭😭 reading swara's plight poor princess, she wasn't at fault her own sister betrayed her, her father and family disowned her, her fiance married her traitor sister. Ragini is so cruel man can't she let her live. Poor swara. So pawan is missing , beautifully defined the historical aspect dear. He was about to search him but sushena stopped him. 😕

She tried to escape but sanskar stopped her somehow. I really liked the veer and sanskar's bond, animals r man's true beaties. Awww god swara's breakdown almost left me in tears , this poor girl is so much pained. Sanskar is her only support. Sanskar's doilouges , muahhh shru well written one. I mean I was like "nothing can be better than this prince sanskar could say" obviously we will wait for the proposal. But really ending of this part was superb. Swara finally took into consideration all his aspects and trusted him, finally . it will be quite interesting to see wat he is upto.
👏👏
Thankss for this superb update
Update asap
Love
Niyati

Chapter 10:

Shru 🤗

Ragini. I love this character so much! Each time you feel you have finally understood her but at the next instant we see a new side of her. You are doing great justice to all the characters here Shru. It is so easy to plot & plan murder but once you have done the deed, that is when the actual problems start. A guilty conscience, fear of discovery, the grief of everyone around you. And its unending. Once again, theoretically she should have been enjoying each moment. Her wedding is upon her, her pesky sister is gone, the man who knew her true colors is gone, she is marrying the man she loves, she has the love of both her mothers...but then damn those memories which she has of Swara😊 It is like even in her death, Swara will always be alive & a part of her. And whom does she share all this with. The one person who she could have told, the one who wouldn't have judged & condemned her & maybe even forgiven her her biggest crimes is no more It remains to be seen what she does about this guilt of hers. Will she confess? Will she just bury all her emotions regards her sister? Will she ever be truly happy? Will she be able to forget Swara? But at the moment she has made her bed & now she will have to lie in it😊

That SwaSan scene was magical😳 Waise all their scenes are! Each one is better than the previous one Throwing caution to the wind he allows her to play that taanpura so that she keeps smiling (I like the reasoning you used btw😉 clever writer😆) She makes him forget his pain. Just looking at her, hearing her play & seeing her smile is all it takes.

I like this renewal of friendship between them. If you can joke about your pain, half of it goes away. And that is what Swara is doing at the moment. Her situation still hasn't changed but she is managing to laugh at it. Brave strong Princess👏 Without being overly dramatic each of them shows that they care for the other. She is feeling a little guilty for attacking him earlier (and I agree with her - he had earned it!!😆)

So Swara still thinking of escaping huh?😲

Now that things have calmed down a little & she has had some rest she is finally "seeing" him for the man he truly is. Analyzing all his actions & trying to figure him out😳 And each result just makes him sound more & more wonderful to her. The legendary Prince is in front of her, the one she heard so much about & its no wonder then that even without her knowing it she is falling under his spell😳 Shru, wont she ever confirm it with him that was it him who saved her at the Palace? I know she is like 99% sure but I want to see if he accepts it or denies it😳 And then of course we need to know why he did it😆😈

So now she will make a Prince fetch pails of water 🤣 But thike chalo if she can cook he can do all this. How I wish Sushena gets a glimpse of his leader with a pail in his hand 🤣

Doesnt she panic when he says she might go back one day without him. I know its too early for her to feel anything too deep for him but I do panic when he says such things You need to go back together Sanskaar, you & your Princess! Princess Nosy😆 How cute!!😳

Veer as a witness who will neigh (though I think he will neigh positive to anything Sanskaar says!)😆 A Knight with a sense of humor! Can it get any better than this?❤️

Sanskaar is missing his Ma! Well cannot blame him, his Ma is a fabulous lady. And I guess he must be worried about how his escape from the Palace will affect his Ma since it was she who brought him home I want some childhood tales of Sanskaar with Pawan & Veer!!! You need not include Laksh😆

"as if she had been conversing with him trustingly even in sleep" I had read in a book about how during a certain phase of our sleep a part of our soul leaves our body to travel to higher planes & meet up with other souls & hence we often feel refreshed once we wake up, because our soul has had this refreshing trip (for lack of better words to explain). Maybe her soul was talking to his as they slept

☺️ ☺️ ☺️ ☺️ ☺️ That scene! You have drawn such a beautiful picture of Swara there. His eyes seem to worship her every feature as they take in every minute detail of her as she sleeps peacefully Even in his thoughts he is respectful towards her & hence this almost reverential study of her. His self control is eroding in waves now😆 Wonder what happens when it goes away completely *runs away*

Awesome update as usual, Sruthi.
Loved the whole Swasan scenes.Loved how teasingly Sanskar is making Swara comfortable, and also the way they were sharing their growing up stories with each other.

So Sanskar has already fallen hard for Swara. Can't wait to see when Swara falls for Sanskar.
And loved, loved the part ,where Sanskar rode away from the haveli to escape his enchantress.

Ragini here seems to have some conscience left in her which is not allowing her to enjoy the spoils of her victory. Serves her right.

Waiting for next update as eagerly as ever.

Res -Chapter 9 & 10

Unres:

Hey Shruti,
Brilliant pair of chapters! The story is finally moving towards SwaSan and towards Sanskaar's plans to ferret out the real traitor.

Chapter 9:
I really enjoyed reading it. Finally Swara acts like a captive trying to escape, begging and pleading to be let go, even attempting to injure Sanskaar. It was the logical reaction and fantastically worded. Really enjoyed the attempted escape with Veer. LOL! Poor girl! So Sanskaar's has his own small army with a number of loyal friends/soldiers? Looking forward to his plan! SwaSan interaction was a treat to read. :)

Chapter 10:
I want to applaud you for the Part 1 - Ragini. Really! This part gave me the feels. Shruti hats off for this amazing Ragini portrayal. Her thoughts, nightmares! It was absolutely brilliantly worded, beautifully written! You have truly shown her amazingly. This character portrayal is just brilliance.

Part 2 was all SwaSan <3 Their lighthearted truce and the teasing Sanskaar! I was grinning like an idiot at my screen. It reminded me of the Highlander books where the abductor falls for the captive. I was awestruck with the emotions shown. Wow Shru! Sanskaar poor guy is sooo falling for her. I wanna dance! Fabulous update.

Keep writing. Awaiting update no. 11. :)

Res 😊

Un-Res

Hey Shru...so the weekend's got to a fine start with this update coming in 🤗 🤗 Was so touched with that mention in your preface to the chapter, so glad that our scrap and PM exchanges refreshed you, amid your earnest typing away into the wee hours of the morning.. 🤗

I loved the layers you imbued Ragini with, in this chapter, as well as, of course, the palpable deepening and strengthening of the attraction between Prince Scrumptious 😆 and the Mermaid Princess. (who's now comfortable enough with him to ask so many questions, he terms her Princess Nosy 😉 😃).

Starting with Ragini---she has certainly discovered the truth of those immortal words of Oscar Wilde, hasn't she: ""
There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it"". 😛 Ragini schemed, connived, surrendered to her base emotions of jealousy, spite and vindictiveness. And initially, she took a smug sense of almost pleasurable satisfaction, in seeing the utterly shattered look of betrayal on her half sister's face, when Swara realized what Ragini had been upto.

But somewhere hidden and subdued under those accumulated layers of negativity, resentment and misguidance by her stentorian Dadi, there still lurk some positive emotions after all. Of honor, remnants of a sibling affection, remorse and shame.

Try as she might, Ragini could not completely eliminate or avoid these softer emotions from coming to the fore, once Swara had left the palace. Funnily enough, while she was there, Ragini did her utmost to harm her, discredit her, usurp her position, her hate justifying all the despicable actions she did. But now that the consequences of her vengeful deeds are well and truly upon them; now that she sees how shattered her family is, she does feel quite a measure of guilt at what she herself has become.

The moment of what should have been her triumph---getting the bridal lehnga and aad from the Maheshwaris, reminds her, despite herself, of how thrilled and excited Swara would have been for her. She does realize somewhere, that Swara genuinely loved her, and the fact that she has so cruelly stabbed her sister in the back is something which is dawning on her now.

I loved the delicate touch of the conversation between Ragini and the ever indecisive, fickle Prince Lakshya. He does not feel any real adoration or lov for her, and that is evident to Ragini, as it is to everyone. But Lakshya feels what he calls admiration for Ragini, for the fine person he thinks she is, for the sterling qualitues of patience, tolerance and forbearance he thinks she has. Ragini is touched to the quick by this, because she knows this is all false. Lakshya has an impression of her which is so completely untrue, the very basis of his agreeing to marry her, is hollow. This is, then, what she has condemned herself to, an alliance with a man who does not love her, and respects her for what she is not!

THe next section was deliciously SwaSanlicious! 😛 Aaahh...the growing attraction between them, Sanskaar's molten glaze lingering on her, Swara's blushing response to his frank admiration. 😉 She has started thinking of him as her friend again, starting trusting him again almost despite herself. And the old tales of his gallantry and patriotism certainly had certainly impressed her a lot. Sanskaar himself, realized that he was feeling tremendously protective about her, and despite trying to tamp down in those emotions, he just couldn't deny them for long, could he? 😉 He just could not bear to think of her face falling in disappointment, were he to deny her the opportunity to play her beloved music, and realized that he would love to watch and hear her play. And of course, once Swara started rendering the Meera Bhajans, in her soulful and soothingly melodious manner, he found her enchanting, akin to a heavenly nymph. 😉 ☺️

And --ahem ahem--Shru, that was a nice touch indeed, slipping in that brief little subtle innuendo, that while Swara was singing a most devotional tune with all her heart, Sanskaar's thoughts were not exactly pious. 😉

I loved their banter over the knives and how she had earlier nicked him (and here, Swara's realization that even when she had wounded him, his reaction had been mild, only to restrain her and not to wound her), was superb. Likewise, their banter about how they were now friends (Sanskaar laughing that he could call Veer to arbitrate!) and how she should not deny her wounded friend the victuals and tea she had promised, was great fun. I tho anyway see Sanskaar and Swara bonding over helpings of aromatic tea with fragrant spices, across the ages!! 😆

That bond of their shared pain and isolation, of being desolate after being disowned and suspected by their own families, was brought out wonderfully by Swara's recounting of her childhood, and Sanskaar's intuitive reading between the lines of how her Dadi must have so hurt her in her formative years. And now, the family that Swara cherished and aimed to please above all else, has disavowed her completely. It is a fate not unlike his own, cast out and condemned as a traitor, betrayed by someone who is most likely, his own blood. As you know, I love the dard ka rishta aspect of the SwaSan bond, so this really appealed to me.

I really liked how they feel comfortable and content in each others company to doze off in the central chamber, right next to each other. Their first night spent "together" huh? 😃 😳 The start of many, the future ones with more action I presume. 🤣 ☺️ Sanskaar certainly has started realizing the immense pull and desire he has started feeling for Swara...

Waiting for Chap 11, Shru. Would be this weekend? Or during the course of the coming week?

Love,
