So Guys ... here is the question - CVs has taken us for a ride.. fooled us. CAN we give it back to them...Can we all not watch and bring the show TRP down. We did it in EMA and it went offair !
So it is in our hands.. can we do it - we need to get max support and influence people not to watch swaragini.
I am in to get the show shut down...How many with me?

Aunties who watch Swaragini will not stop watching it.. and trust me they gonna love this twist ka tablet of Jodi swap Swara vs Ragini..

if it was youth show we would hv stopped watching but its not a youth show 🤔

Better way is start watching Zee's new show or YRKKH at 9:30PM lol

I'm with it to also shut down Rashmi Sharma so she can't fund all this crap in the future.

I'm going to ask everyone I can to stop watching. In fact I will tell everyone over Twitter to avoid it.

Bolded is a misconception Vishi. Just ask EMAians.. We kept at it. We requested people in person, on Twitter or FB on IF everywhere raising voice against Ragav marriage and guess what it did bear fruit and
let me also tell you it is a "TRP aunties" is a misconception. Things have come a long way. DTH makes all of us a contributor to TRP . Not just the aunties.
Even aunties.. we can influence the ones around us.. Boond Boond se sagar bantha hai dear. THE QUESTION IS DO WE HAVE IT IN US to stick it out to the CVs.
UNITY matters !!!

Sorry but this is just pathetic. The CVs do not owe you anything. Internet fanbase contributes about nothing to the show. Gautam Hegde is the writer, Geet/Madhubala/DDEK fans couldn't stop him from doing anything then SwaLak fans are nothing.

@ANewFan No we can't do anything.. coz Some SwaLak fans already shifted to SwaSan ship.. We are not large in no.
Untiy matters most and that I know very well as I was part of IPKKND season 1 fandom and we forced them to shut down the show with happy ending. But here case is different. Its RS's show she doesn't care .. SNS leads were against Leap but somehow she managed to convince them. Its RS dude..

@Nym. agree with you.. Gautam Hegde ko koi fark nai parta just like RS..

If the TRP (and the BARC equivalent) rose upwards to 3+ while the lead pairing was established and together and stayed in the 3+ TRP range for several weeks during that phase, then any attempt to change that proven pairing can be campaigned against.

But if not, then the campaigning can be heeded or ignored.

The massive viewership a channel knows can suffice in itself for the success of its serials is mostly offline - the people who never bother to come online to talk of a serial, they just switch the channel if they dislike or are not interested. And that is a majority or mostly conservative sensibilities.

The poorest viewership for a main entertainment channel (Hindi serials) is in millions.
So even a million viewers may be considered poor viewership.

The channels which cater to youth-audience either manage on a very small budget, or close down with a loss.
The mass-viewership is usually able to make a series successful without any fandoms.
But fandoms have a series in the 3+ TRP only if the tracks and the pairing are mass-acceptable.

So basically, a channel listens to fans either if majority-audience is saying the same thing, or if the viewership is inadequate and likely to remain inadequate regardless of any change or lack of change.

If fans ask for something and majority-audience doesn't, either it won't happen, or the track and/or serial would have to close.

Also, if majority-audience is disinterested (i.e. not enough millions of people watching in India at primetime on TV), then also track or serial would close.

It's basically about how many millions of people we have who are watching the serial in India at primetime on TV.
Not enough millions is a worry. More millions is better.

And the total available viewership-base is massive enough that at least two serials - even three serials - can have 3+ TRP (and the BARC equivalent) simultaneously.
So a primetime serial is expected to get that much TRP, even if one or two other serials in that same timeslot are getting 3+ TRP.

Currently, BARC is the official rating, and TRP is used unofficially. But BARC is intended to be more considerate of the rural viewership as well.

Wow. The technical side of TV. 😊

so basically TRPs only count for those watching prime time in india?

You say, when Swara and Lakshya had been paired, if the TRPs had been 3+ then they would have stayed? But that must have been unlikely because the show had just started then.

So had the TRPs been 3+ when Sanskaar and Ragini had been paired, they would have stayed?
