Over a week past, I was very happy with Swaragini. And believe it or not, it had a lot to do with Ragini. Once laksh had clarified to her that dadi was lying, he doesn't love her and she thanks swara for exposing dadi; i thought awesome, now ragini's story can begin. she will have her own storyline, independent of swarya and her parents and her grandparents; she's only been a catalyst so far but now she was to get her own story. but alas the very next morning she proved herself to be delusional still, wanting to impose her love on laksh and comparing her non-existent relationship with laksh with shekhar-shomi's. even that i ignored despite swara's unwarranted encouragement. because finally there was sanskaar, and i was happy not only for sangini but because there was now a catalyst in Ragini's story, someone who made her an active participant in her own story rather than passive by-stander. she was, for the first time since taking a stand in front of durga prasad ages ago, doing instead of on the receiving end of everyones actions. in one episode sanskaar brought out every good trait in ragini- her strength, her nurturing nature, her compassion, her tranquility, her quick-thinking. but in the very next ragini once again becomes a silent by-stander in her own story- she doesn't defy dadi in ANY capacity when laksh is begging for his brother's life and dadi was being nothing but cruel. it was upsetting enough to have seen swara in that role, but maybe there was a glimmer of hope that this time maybe ragini would stand up for him atleast. it wouldn't be her first time protesting against dadi. but alas she just stood there watching laksh break down. even shomi, who has spent a very passable amount of time with laksh in comparison to Ragini, cared enough about him to feel the pressure he was under, yet ragini remained inactive and unmoved by the guy she supposedly loves. i think that moment for me kind of confirmed what i already knew, she doesn't love laksh, she never did. if you love someone you can fight against the world for their sakes, whether you have a rishta with them or not. ragini is attracted to laksh but she doesn't love him, i disagree with swara, if she loved him she'd have taken care of sanskaar regardless of whether she was the to-be bahu of the maheshwari household or not but more than that she'd have taken a stance for him.
now, it is imperative that the cvs end this nonsense of ragini's constant rejection of whats right infront of her. and the cvs need to stop making this the swara show. frankly, its off-putting that even in ragini's life, all actions are being taken by swara. just because ragini doesn't want to face harsh realities doesn't mean that swara should protect her from it. swara is quickly replacing dadi was the puppet master of ragini's life and thats dangerous. when will ragini be more than a puppet? suppose swara protects ragini against heartbreak now and laksh marries her, then what? laksh isn't attracted to her, how will she bare that rejection after marriage? or will swara dictate what goes on behind close doors as well? laksh no doubt played a big role in giving hawa to the proverbial aag and he's currently being insensitive to ragini. she didn't do anything to warrant his disregard. but i want her to come out of it all, break all her delusions and if laksh's rudeness can accomplish that, then I'm fine with that (even though that will delay the swarya process infinitely more and all my fellow swarya fans will gimme joote for saying this 😆. pls don't hate me i love you guys). i want her to tell not just dadi but EVERYONE including swara and laksh to shove off and stop trying to play around with her life and control everything with their lies. this is her life not some scrap toy. come on cvs, the show is swaragini- its high time ragini did something. even the shekhar-shomi punar milaap mission was the swarya show with ragini only fawning over how great laksh's plan was. now even the ragya marriage or not marriage or whatever isn't really her decision to make- even the ragya whatever is the swarya show?!? laksh will marry ragini depending on swara's decision. he will not love ragini based on his own decision. and ragini will smile like the foolish doll she is and make no decisions. she'll simply be mesmerized by the title- laksh's wife and speak with swara about how lakshji loves her. the only people whose decisions matter in this potential life long bondage is not ragini but again swarya . so please cvs stop making her into a mockery. she's a great girl with many a merits. let her shine for once! and give her her own storyline, preferably within reality and not delusions.
