Teju, I completely agree with you and I'm glad you made this post. I especially loved your point about Swara replacing Dadi in Ragini's life. I actually also really don't like it when Swara tells Ragini what to do and Ragini follows her. Like Swara needs to learn to back off. She can't always protect Ragini. It's going to backfire on the both of them in the future. Swara needs to let Ragini fall and get back up by herself. Swara treats Ragini like a doll, the same way Dadi does. I feel like Shekhar is the only one who actually doesn't treat Ragini like a delicate glass doll all the time.

I actually also really want to see an independence track for Ragini. I feel like she has so much to offer. She has amazing inner strength and her capacity to forgive and help others is really wonderful. I actually like how she's quiet. I loved it when she stood up for her parents in front of Durga Prasad (gonna call him DP from now on LOL). Like that was such an amazing scene. Just because she's quiet, it doesn't mean she doesn;t know how to fight.

I also agree that her interactions with Sanskaar brought out her best characteristics, ones that should be emphasized more!

However, I do kind off disagree with one thing -- I think it's actually kind off *good* that Ragini is attempting to fight for her love. She's actually trying to take some initiative and be somewhat independent. And maybe this can finally be the track/ time where she actually falls (metaphorically) once she realizes that Laksh doesn't love her and will never think of her romantically. And that's when she starts to rise/ her character starts developing and being more independent?

I actually kind of like that idea, and id say i agree if i didn't understand the scopes and limitations of hindi serials- people rarely just move on or realize that the other person doesn't love them after being in 'love' in serials. but this would be a very interesting track to watch if swara wasn't so meddlesome and only if she didn't know that he loves swara. cos if she knows and still pursues him then its kinda regressive to her self respect in my opinion. but ya otherwise that'd be cool.

Yeah I'd really like to see that too. The other drama I currently watch, NAUC actually is currently showing how the lead managed to move on from her first love as it was initially one sided. Like they showed her heartbreak and everything. So I'm hoping it could be possible in this show too?

And tbh, I really feel like RagYa might not happen? Because Laksh seems really firm on his feelings for Swara. Even the recent segment posted described how he attempted suicide and swara saves him -- I think it's actually another stupid plan of his to get Swara to realize that she loves/ cares for him too LOL. So I think even if it comes down to being Sanskaar vs SwarYa for Laksh, he might just opt for SwarYa in the end?

If Ragini doesn't back off once its revealed that Laksh loves Swara, then yes I will also be very disappointed. I think all she knows currently is that he doesn't love her but nor anyone else. I'm curious as to what Swara's reaction will be now that she knows Laksh loves her and not Ragini. Will she try to stop the wedding/ discourage Ragini from loving Laksh?

Thanks for making this post di...it actually compelled me to think of how the character...of ragini is progressing..yesss she is a sweet sober innocent soul who is definitely adorable...but what other than that...OK I get it that she is shy...but no she needs to break her Mon vraat when required..for the timing she seems like a docile little doll who is completely satisfied by drooling over Laksh..and yes hopefully sanskaar will bring out the best of her...and the audience will see her emerge as a stronger person...and not someone who is just too gullible

i think a major twist is going to happen and i am dam sure its going to be ragya only but i think for sure...this time either it will be a hate love story or revenge love story of ragya ,,,,...i think ragini will forget laksh because of her memory ...and then swara will tell her how he had broken her heart again and again and then ragini ...will take revenge...
dont know really in wehich way cvs will move but i am dam sure of ragya ...😆😆😳

And dont forget Raginis obsession with Laksh! 😈

gr8 post teju di leaving very little room for disagreements..i guess u r aware i among the ppl who have always asked for a better story line for ragini ..just like the writers i believe a lot of ppl on this forum show clear signs of character bias when it comes to swara..there r others who believe that ragini's development is directly related to accomplishing lakshya's love..i disagree with both these groups. i am always irked by the thought that the writers fail to balance two major leads on indian shows..they r just unable explore their characters in a rational manner...i like the fact that ragini is flawed she is not perfect ..she has her set of strengths and weaknesses which hopefully she will overcome in this journey . that can't b said about Swara, such is the obsession of the writers with this character that they portray her as an individual who CAN NOT do anything wrong..every decision or opinion expressed by her is perfect. i think that minimises any chance of development leading to stagnation. it is a major reason y i never liked characters like tulsi or parvati ..every individual has a grey shaded personality they can never b black or white. coming to ragini if i start to make a list of all those things i dislike about her story line it will never end ..i am hoping that the writers do find a way to help her overcome these flaws and not ignore them. as of now we r aware that ragini is a girl who has never made any decisions on her own ..she is a puppet guided by her dadi and unfortunately the writers r doing very little to change that..i do not want anyone to help ragini see what's gd or bad for her...i think she should b capable of doing that on herself..neither do i want lakshya being guilt tripped to b with her..she deserves better...yes lakshya's insensitivity towards her drives me insane and i am hoping against hope that there comes a day when she reliases that he is no prince charming and she does not need him or anyone else but herself. ragini's character has a lot of scope of redemption.if handled properly her journey can b very interesting from being a love struck helpless girl to being a confident and an independent individual. but that can only happen if romance is not the central theme of her SL..i don't want her to b reduced to a love interest for one of the maheswari brothers. i am aware of this upcoming triangle between varun, helly and namish making it pretty clear that ragini will always b a second choice..that is something i am fearing . however i am hoping that this time she won't b that weak desperate ragini and will make the guy (whoever it is) work for her love.

why r they showing ragini as shameless.
seriously i dont get any other word for this character whoz so obsessed for a guy even after getting rejected 4 times.u know abt thrice now again fourth time listening frm laksh himself that he dont like her forget abt luv when hez saying he dont even like her she thinks she might heard wrong or misunderstood his words.watz so hard to understand that somebody dont likes u or in rag dictionary i dont like u means i luv u.now i dont even find her delusional sry bcz she knows the truth he dont loves her he said 4 times now what she want he giving her a written statement that i dont love u ragini and she wantedly ignored laksh feelings for swara.she had seen many times how laksh is inclined ana attracted to swara but she always ignores it y bcz she wants laksh though he dnt luvs her or though hez attracted to her sis swara, shez obsessed with laksh so happily accpted the engagement which she knows and seen and heard with her own eyes and ears how laksh didnt had other way to bring her home so was forced by the situtaion that he was forced to announce that shez is still his fiance.shame on ragini.if she rly had humanity forget abt luv atleast she had humanity she would went against dadi and went with laksh to save sanskar but no along with dadi indirectly ragini too forced him to take the decision which he took to save a life.so here if someone is in fault its dadi and ragini not laksh.if her heart is broken again she and her dadi are responsibile for it not laksh.if she thinks by forcing someone u can get them or there love she will get again and again will get heart broken and the sole responsible for this would be none other than herself and her selfishness, obsesiveness and foolishness and not letting go something which she never had or will never have.so if anything bad happens to her now like her heart broken shez responsible for it and atleast acc to me shez getting what she deserves

Ragini needs to forget Laksh. If even after this accident she doesnt realise this then this character will be killed by the cvs 😡

If there is Sanskar-Swara-Laksh love triangle (the worst possible track) then i am done with thus show. Cvs need to spare Swara & there is a need to work on Ragini's character.

Me too! Ragini is a fine character. she just needs a good track to make her blossom which is why i was excited about Sanskaar's entry even more so than sangini happening! romance is necessary but the cvs had already created what i believed to be a great chemistry in swarya! ragini could've taken her time and eventually gotten a romantic track! they could've focused on her individual development. swaragini's life didn't need to be intertwined in such a complicated manner!

i am always irked by the thought that the writers fail to balance two major leads on indian shows..they r just unable explore their characters in a rational manner...i like the fact that ragini is flawed she is not perfect ..she has her set of strengths and weaknesses which hopefully she will overcome in this journey . that can't b said about Swara, such is the obsession of the writers with this character that they portray her as an individual who CAN NOT do anything wrong..every decision or opinion expressed by her is perfect. i think that minimises any chance of development leading to stagnation. it is a major reason y i never liked characters like tulsi or parvati

I can't tell you how irked i am right now by Swara's i know it all attitude. being bindaas and being oversmart are two very different things. its important to distinguish between the two. that being said i love swara but the confident girl she was, not this overconfident overprotective dadi amma. i hope laksh does ruffle her feathers and she ends up in an actual conflict of the heart and understands that human emotions don't work like a robot's, things don't happen a certain way just because we think it'll happen a certain way, that we all have strengths and weaknesses and we all have to fall and rise up again by ourselves. i feel like she knows her parents' story but she doesn't really feel her parents' story. she needs to be shaken up emotionally. but thats also just my swarya brain kind of wanting to see a torrid angsty affair happen since I'm not getting the sweet slow and beautiful love story swarya would've been if the cvs hadn't done all this tamasha. 😆

..every individual has a grey shaded personality they can never b black or white. coming to ragini if i start to make a list of all those things i dislike about her story line it will never end ..i am hoping that the writers do find a way to help her overcome these flaws and not ignore them. as of now we r aware that ragini is a girl who has never made any decisions on her own ..she is a puppet guided by her dadi and unfortunately the writers r doing very little to change that..i do not want anyone to help ragini see what's gd or bad for her...i think she should b capable of doing that on herself..neither do i want lakshya being guilt tripped to b with her..she deserves better...yes lakshya's insensitivity towards her drives me insane and i am hoping against hope that there comes a day when she reliases that he is no prince charming and she does not need him or anyone else but herself.

agreed! everyone is basically playing puppet master to ragini the doll and its the most annoying thing to watch! like laksh, ok whatever happened you said stupid things when you felt helpless and i'll give him that- dadi left very little choice and Swaragini's silence at that time didn't help, but now tell ragini the truth first! why tell swara? this doesn't concern her! its yours and ragini's marriage! you want to give her the right to make a call for your life because you love her? fine! don't extend that right to ragini's life! and swara, please back off and let laksh handle this, the most you can do is tell ragini the truth, not make the call for her, she and laksh both have the right to make an informed decision. you can't suffocate her like that. dadi...theres nothing to say. aisi dadi ho toh dushman ki kya zaroorat?

ragini's character has a lot of scope of redemption.if handled properly her journey can b very interesting from being a love struck helpless girl to being a confident and an independent individual. but that can only happen if romance is not the central theme of her SL..i don't want her to b reduced to a love interest for one of the maheswari brothers. i am aware of this upcoming triangle between varun, helly and namish making it pretty clear that ragini will always b a second choice

where did you hear that? a segment or anything? idk about that, it was old news that may not be true. but i'll be damn pissed off if it were- why must every person be in love with swara? what was she born in milk and honey? laksh loves her makes sense, y sanskaar who still has no sense?
if that happens then defo quitting, swarya or no swarya.

..that is something i am fearing . however i am hoping that this time she won't b that weak desperate ragini and will make the guy (whoever it is) work for her love.

I only wanted to discuss your point of views regarding the cvs treatment of ragini's character and her lack of a storyline right now. not talk about ragya vs swarya, or about revenge marriages or forced marriages. or laksh's one sided love or swara's hate or whatever other stuff ppl have been fangirling about here. i fangirl all the time, but there are DTs for that. so please stick to the topic.

👏 I totally agree with you teju

Amazing post - something I've been thinking about a lot when watching the show. It's always Swara who tends to make the plot changing "discoveries" and it's kind of unfair because the show is supposed to be about Swaragini.

One thing, Swara can have the guy. That doesn't bother me too much. But Ragini's character has a lot of potential which isn't being utilised just because she's the "quiet one" and then on top of that acting like a love struck puppy.

There's no problem in trying to win your love but I think she failed (with success) at that when Lakshya needed her badly and she stood there like a china doll that needed picking up. And if Lakshya really does take Ragini to be a good friend then he should be the one to clear her misunderstandings as a good friend.

Ragini should be shown upholding her self respect once she finds out that Lakshya isn't interested in her the way he's interested in Swara.

I was hoping that this show would focus on Swaragini and their problems in a Marwari-Bengali family rather than jumping to marriage and love so quickly.
