Not as much as a reality check as a deep thought about it. She knows what the situation is. She is also perfectly within her rights to decide to forgo a physical relationship to be with Karan. I just think she has subconsciously decided that but needs to just think more and be decisive about it.

By the word reality check I meant that Naina has to realise a marital relationship can't be platonic one and at some point physical relationship is a must. Karan does know this but Naina seems to be unaware.

True. But I somehow feel that she knows that a physical relationship is important. Its just that she has subconsciously chosen being with Karan over a physical relationship. She just needs to realize that she has. So yes, reality check only in a way.

The relationship started with her accepting this marriage from a place of duty (her words on the first night). So if she has decided to she is willing to forgo a physical relationship-- I want to see that she has consciously decided that Karan is worth it for himself, not because she has an obligation to uphold.

The lack of a physical relationship also bring up the question of whether they could have children and whether Naina willing to risk that too?

I honestly don't think Naina has realized what she has foregone. She might think she is happy but in the future, she is going to want kids and than she will realize what's missing in her relationship.

Exactly. This is what i meant when I said she has done it subconsciously and that she has to think about and accept it. Because it is an important question, one that both Meghna and Karan will ask her so she has to be clear on what she wants and why she wants it. I think her realisation of love and all this is linked.

About children, I am sure Naina will say they can adopt. 😆

True Di. Its possible that she just hasn't considered it at all. Then she will have to because that is a question she will have to confront if she wants to stay in this relationship.

I don't think such love (platonic waala) would last forever, it gets bored after a while... even if they adopt kids. Much deeper relationship is required for a marriage to sustain and many don't work even after having kids who share their flesh. In reality it wouldn't work but in show they're free to show anything.

I see your point. But i don't know if I believe that. There are so many different people in the world and so many different kinds of relationships that I don't know if I can conclusively say that it won't work. So many times we hear of things that surprise us. I genuinely believe that the quote "Truth is stranger than fiction" is true. So while they can show whatever they want to in the serial obviously, who knows, it might just work in real life as well. The marvels of human relationships are plenty! :)

This is only for discussion sake in the serial at least because we know that Karan disease, if he has, is not contagious but if it were, who knows what could have happened? :)

If Karan's disease was contagious for real, why would he or anyone agree to adopting kids. When NaiRan fall in love, it would be very difficult to not touch each other.
Not sure about anyone else, but I definitely couldn't do a platonic relationship...with my hubby!!! 😆

Sorry TMI...but...

I agree that the idea is very far fetched and seems impossible. I don't think any of us can contemplate it. But all I am saying is that we never know. The world is full of surprises.
